  1. For the sake of argument, let's assume that I am VERY low on fuel. Is there any tool / window / screen which would help me plan a burn home?
  2. Absolutely LOVE your work. All-IVA missions are fantastic. I'm having a hard time finding any discussions about HOW to complete all-IVA missions without maneuver nodes. For example, when you're on the Mun, how do you target Kerbin? Which instrument / screen would you use to tell you when to perform your burn for the return home? Great work.
  3. Not "counting on it", but I was wondering if you could give me some tips for manually merging two saves in order to get ships from both into one game. I tried your KSP Save Merger and it creates a pesistance file missing FLIGHTSTATE and ROSTER. When you add these back in manually, it will load in ksp, but only the FIRST ship is present. The second (last) is not. Thanks and I understand if you're too busy
  4. I found the tool. It's called KSPSavemerge. Sadly the Developer has indicated that he won't be updating it any time soon, and it's stuck on a version compatible with v 0.20.
  5. Thanks for the suggestion! I guess I don't know what to copy. I tried copying everything between the words 'VESSEL'. When I paste it into a different persistent.sfs file, the game can not see ANY of the saves. When I delete the modified persistent.sfs file, the game goes back to normal and can see the old saves. So obviously I'm introducing some sort of error when I add one vessel to another game's persistent.sfs file. I just can't figure it out. I'll keep trying...
  6. Does anyone know how (or if it is even possible) to merge two different games in the same KSP installation? For example I built a kick'n space station in save file X my son built a cool munbase in save file Y. Now I would like to consolidate these two games so that the station and munbase are in one save file.

  9. I noticed that if you de-activate an engine during a programmed burn, the Flight Computer continues to decrease "count down" the m/s required, and eventually shuts off the throttle. So it's not specifically using actual ship delta/v as an input to how much change needs to be made, or has already been made.
  10. Yes:) I got it working. I received a BSOD later and re-downloaded the MOD. First one must have been corrupt because I got a different MD5 on the second. This one seems to work. THANKS A BUNCH for the help.
  11. During the burn, it thinks that it is changing the delta v by 900. (It decreases from 900 to 0 in the flight computer display). When it reaches 0, it stops the burn, but the ship is still about 300 d/v short of establishing an orbit. Sorry about the link. Don't know what I'm doing wrong there, either

  14. Thanks Dungchunker! That was the problem. sojourner, I had installed the 2.09 available at http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/21mechjeb209/ and it overwrote the parts files and made each command pod MecJeb-ready. I re installed KSP to restore the original files, then installed the MecJeb from page 1 of this thread. It only installed the MecJeb 2 (AR202) module and the required plugin .dll. This is what I wanted.
  15. Clean install of KSP v 0.21. Only two plugins installed are Subassembly Manager and MechJeb 2.09 Can't find the control module that was there in version 2.08. MJ is present (& on) by default on any command pod. Is that the way it's supposed to be in the latest version. I liked the option of being able to create ships with or without MJ. Thanks
