  1. Anybody wanna guess what this does? Yes it fully works it uses KAS and Infernal Robotics
  2. I did a B9 Aerospace Shuttle with robotic arm. Album here https://www.dropbox.com/sh/jada4bosjhm564s/5-qC5PppQO . Also a video of the launch Docked with my space station. Deploying a payload (spy satellite) Here is my space station, complete with robot arm with 4 different types of docking attachments and a shuttle docking bay. Album here https://www.dropbox.com/sh/8qmcgc85uzy9y16/23NrmKOGId Centrifuge (rotates with infernal robotics) Rotating Carnival Ride
  3. The shuttle this arm is attached to is a test vessel for the deployment and maintenance of small satellites that require hands on assistance. It was decided that docking with these vessels could be easier with a robotic arm to assist with docking and repairs. So a mission was done to test this new robotic arm system. Things did not go 100% due to the magnet being very powerful it caused it to snap a little too hard and the probe lost a solar panel. It was decided not to activate any magnetism until the arm is close enough to the probe, lesson learned.
  4. I am wondering if someone can help me with finding out how to throttle up and down individual engines. I am aware of this FlightInputHandler.state.mainThrottle = 0; but it does all of the engines. I would like to know if there is a way of iterating through each engine and modifying the throttle of each one.
  5. Flying planes and landing them wasn't enough. I wanted to challenge myself so I attempted to take off, fly around, then land at the KSC all completely from the cockpit view. After a few attempts and some crashing I feel I have made it. I also learned that you cannot apply brakes when you are in cockpit mode so the only time I go out is to apply the brakes.
  6. I had a crash in a space shuttle test and this control surface freed itself and had quite an adventure. I think it would have kept going forever had I not stopped watching it. I found it entertaining to watch. http://youtu.be/0Y5FrPH62Hs
  7. Just docked a B9 stock spaceplane to mine. Dunno if I want to add any more to it, my FPS is suffering.
  8. I made this little orbiter. I could not think of a name and I sacrificed efficiency for aesthetic value. I slapped mechjeb on (not included in the download) to take pictures. The escape tower does work and is attached to the abort binding. Total part count is 222 parts. Download: https://www.dropbox.com/s/m937n2v5jl5ingv/Orbiter%20No%20Name.zip
  9. I will try to get to adding some more features to it here soon. I had almost forgotten I made this plugin. I am also going to look at modeling a part so I am not using an RCS model.
  10. You got yourself a subscriber. Expect a ship from me.
  11. I got ya. I will go through my video and take some screenshots. I completely looked that over. Edit: here we go. Hopefully its in the right order.
  12. I did this without actually checking myself against the rules but here we go. I wanted to do it without reloading a quicksave so if you view the video that I gave you will see I mess up alot. I did some bad, inefficient burns, I run out of fuel and had to change the mission plans, I flip when I land on Mun, my staging screws up on ascent from the surface, so many things wrong. But it was fun, I kinda wanna make more videos now. Edit: An important thing to note: I realize that I reversed how the docking should be between the lander and control pod. I am fixing the ship and gonna do the mission again some other time. - 3-man Mission +10 - 2-man Lander +10 - 2-stage Lander (leave the descent-engine on the mün) +20 (Um maybe, I had a game glitch where I deactivated its engines but still decided to fire when I took off. Its still on Mun but its not all in one piece.) - Flawless landing (no parts broke off, Neil Armstrong is watching you!) +10 (No parts broke off but I got a little distracted and flipped, but recovered) - After successful Mün landing docked CM and MM in Orbit (no swapping ships without docking them first) +10 - Plant flag on the Mün (no cumulative, i.e. two flags don't get you 6 points) +3 - Splashing down on Kerbin (land on water) +5 Tota: 98? I need a judge, watch the video. I sped it up and added some spacy, feel good music. http://youtu.be/kRoVGV-8Ft0 EDIT: Was gonna go to bed but instead I did it again with a better designed ship. - 3-man Mission +10 - 2-man Lander +10 - 2-stage Lander (leave the decent-engine on the mün) +20 - Main rocked aspargus'd? -10 (Wernher von Kerman does not like aspargus!) - Escape tower? +10 - Lander stored behind the CM during ascent +20 - Flawless landing (no parts broke off, Neil Armstrong is watching you!) +10 - After succesfull Mün landing docked CM and MM in Orbit (no swapping ships without docking them first) +10 - MM disposed by crashing it into the Mün (remove Kerbal first!) +5 - Plant flag on the Mün (no cumulative, i.e. two flags don't get you 6 points) +3 - Splashing down on Kerbin (land on water) +5 Note: I initially thought I got points for asparagus staging so I used it on the basis I thought efficiency would be a point increase. So 123 if I did my math correctly. Video: http://youtu.be/l_hkUabRC1I
  13. I can do that however I had actually thought about getting a nice joystick as long as they are supported.
  14. I actually hadn't thought about that. I will try putting them elsewhere.
  15. Should the wings be exactly centered or is this okay? I moved them down for the landing gear. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ete9ll1rgmdt26o/screenshot5.png
  16. Well I am working on getting an SSTO into orbit. I have tried stock crafts on an install of KSP with no mods, and so far I have gotten the Aeris 4A into orbit (once, with not enough fuel to return back). I have been trying to get my own SSTO into orbit and it seems I am having troubles. I seem to feel like I don't know when to throttle down to avoid flame outs. I always thought it was around .10 but sometimes its a bit higher like at .13 - .15. If I don't flame out and flip all over the place my nose seems to start to point down as I get higher and I have no control over it even when I throttle down or use RCS. I have also tried some of the SSTOs from the B9 Aerospace Pack on my install with mods, I am very stable but run out of fuel too fast. I do not know what I am doing wrong. Here is my ship, maybe a more experienced pilot can tell if its my ship or my crappy piloting. https://www.dropbox.com/s/13pa5joazy7ekp9/screenshot4.png Download: https://www.dropbox.com/s/z21pnc6dbu88u3y/Spaceplane%20Test.zip
  17. This is great. I find that things look a bit more cinematic to me now. I have encountered one bug. I was EVAd out of my space station and switched to my other vessel by hitting "[" and the EVA breathing sounds were still activated even though I switched to a vessel with kerbals in it.
  18. I went through a couple tutorials and sources and decided to make a plugin. I realized that while ascending I sometimes forget to watch the heat my engines are creating. So I made a warning message pop up in the middle of your screen and play a warning sound. I was thinking of doing warnings for low fuel too. I used the RCS thruster part for now, I am going to be looking at modeling a bit later. Download https://www.dropbox.com/s/80o7myr3c0b1mmi/HeatWarn.zip Source https://github.com/mojobojo/KSPHeatWarn
  19. Yeah my brain went completely dumb there. I guess I am staying up too late playing this game. Sorry about that.
  20. I thought this was really cool. I have been consistently failing at landing a rover on the moon by running out of fuel too fast and caught this right after I saved myself from hitting the surface by enabling infinite fuel. EDIT: Well I feel dumb, I realize that this happens all the time, staying up too late kinda backfired on me there.
  21. Second time, I did it so fast I forgot to take pictures. I undocked a part of the space station, dropped it into the atmosphe, rerotated out the kerbals, and brought them home safely. This was also the first time I ended with too much fuel.
  22. A small accomplishment in comparison to what I have seen but after about 4 hours of fiddling around with the flight controls, once forgetting to put RCS thrusters, then finally forgetting to put a parachute on the return pod. I finally docked for the first time with my space station core. This was so tedious and I learned lots of things I shouldn't do and things I should have known before starting. Now I get to do a rescue mission because there is no way to return safely.
  23. I fixed the title, I knew I misspelled it but thought I couldn't change it.
  24. That is very impressive. I wish he had tried bringing a Kerbal along for the ride.
