  1. What are you using to screen capture? Sorry but it seems your recording resolution is way off.
  2. that might work, however, how are you going to get enough funds to put up a station around every planet to spam science?
  3. Don't mean to bump but got it done. didn't do pod reentry cause flames were really making me mad after a while. I'm thinking maybe a shuttle or ISS next?
  4. So I have the full thing done, just can't figure out how to export the layers out as a gif that will work...
  5. I agree with needing more frames 100%! This is my first try at pixel animation ever so I think its going well. I am still adding more frames, trying to add more to improve the FPS. Not sure though just because I don't have a scale based on how many pixels per speed.
  6. Hey guys! Spent the last couple of nights working on something. It's not quiet done but its all for now untill I learn how to make a GIF. (website I use has a time and size limit.) (if anyone can help with this let me know please!!) Anyway I present the Saturn V in pixel form. Lets hear some constructive comments!
  7. Okay guys, I have one question I have yet to figure out but am worried about. How can we launch large interplanetary ships and station segments if it costs money but the mission itself does not provide any money? Just save a lot up in between station segments?
  8. Sent bob into a solar orbit with Kerbin intercept a few days ago. Incounter is about 200 days away. I recently launched 2 vehicles to practice rendezvous with to try and capture this craft that I have a 3 hour windows to catch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kRiXqUi0Rj0
  9. So I'm getting back into blender full swing again but I do need help learning things, including learning blender more, and most importantly, learning to make my own textures. The KSP forum is a great place but not well suited for this. I've done google searches and the only really active forum that could help with this stuff if full of people who expect you to know everthing about making textures and every little feature in blender. Anyone got any to share?
  10. Yeah, when I need to edit audio Ive always use Audacity. Great program.
  11. I have only captured 2 asteroids in my time so far. Both did not hit the CoM, I simply used hyper edit to get into LKO, then hyper edit again to loose about 100 m/s to drop it into the atmosphere and watch the fire works
  12. What I mean is to have your space craft with a apoapsis over 70km and a peri at 55. The boosters if ditched at this pointed would stay close to one another. you could boost your craft into a stable orbit and switch back to booster 1 (with booster 2 a few meters away ) and time warp in. If they have the same mass and same chutes they will fall side by side (in theory)
  13. Probably could mod that in, although many mods extended the load distance. Best bet in my opinion would be to (if your desperate for refund) get into LKO with periapsis around 55km, ditch boosters. Boost space craft to stable orbit then follow boosters down. They should remain close enough to stay together during decent... maybe.
  14. All I can say is wow! I have seen this mod a couple times but never wanted to get it a go due to the long dep list. Finally decided to try it out and I love it! Haven't seen any payloads to orbit yet, so I am not sure of the capacity (didn't read the entire forum post either ) Anyway, so far just been playing around with the orbiter and stuff. I think I might have to make a mod review tomorrow night on this. I am just totally blown away. Especially by the detail with out a frame rate loss!
  15. Whack, dammit! You're an awesome gamer but still man, that was over kill. Thanks for the water works.
  16. Yeah agree with guy above me. Probably start with your payload and than build the "crawler". not only is it easier but it will balance the mass on the crawler better so it won't tip or roll on inclines.
  17. No, Scott Manley tried this one. The planets are on rails. Besides it would take a tremendous amount of force to do this. More than is really reasonably possible to achieve. EDIT: Ninja'd
  18. I remember seeing when science was first introduced a mod that enabled you to use space stations for science. The module would SLOWLY gain science as it orbited what ever body it was around. After so long you could transmit science back to Kerbin, basically what the ISS does. Any mods that execute this type of thing well and its actually practicle?
  19. Nice! I need a new banner... Mines getting old
  20. I do believe I purchased the game in June of 2013... :|
  21. Find what might be considered a bug... Using remotech 2 I found that if you have the monitor window open and click "Deploy" it will ignore the signal delay of remotech, for comparison if you right click on the module itself (e.g. goo canister) it will be put into the delay before it actually takes a reading.
  22. Simple as the title says. How do you name your craft? For example with NASA you had, Gemini, Apollo, Mercury, Explorer, voyager, etc... I've always wondered how NASA came up with names as I would like to use the same system they do to name stuff, but also curious how you guys name your own crafts?
  23. Made a video going over 3 different space probes and what it is essentially. Which also is EP 4 of my series... If anyone honestly cares. http://youtu.be/5ty3EnWj0sU
  24. I have the KSO mod, love it! However I am running into one question the forum thread does not answer ( not that I found anyway) The station parts, I.E. the kerbal lab, green house etc, the science parts... What do they do? They don't conduct science that I've found so far. Maybe I'm just screwing something up. any answers would be appreciated, thanks.
