Considering part of the cancellation of the X-33 was the failure of the honeycomb composite? I don't know if you really want to borrow that technology when it's proven to fail.

This has always been an issue with the stock EL parts. Large, clumsy, and hard to get around. For instance, the Spherical launchpads, while heavy, were a lot more compact and easy to get around. Kethane drills are easier to deal with, and scanners more in line with the application. The type 2 launchpad is about ok, though can klutz up and trap things on it sometimes. What would work a lot better is using the smaller hexcans or even reusing normal inline or radial mounts. I'd point to the kethane pack to get an idea of sizes and how to handle things a little better.

Ok, replaced KSP with a fresh install and tried just deleting all plugins with the exception of mechjeb 2. Replaced the warp plugin from both sources. oddly enough, if I attach to the sides, it's fine, but attach to the bottom, and it poofs and is gone. I do get an option to manually shut down, but once shut down, it's dead in the water. if it goes down automatically, unless there's uranium available, it dies off and can't be restarted. Also, only by lifting to the center of the reactor, where the AEGELESS circle seal is, nothing shows for EVA options whatsoever.

just tested with a fresh install of KSP, and ONLY the warp plugin. Same errors and issues crop up, the processor doesn't rez unless you make it the root part, and it self deletes out of any saves. Also, nuke reactors have NO eva options, and when in cockpit, only has the enable tritium breeding.

My kerbal is right next to the reactor. ANY closer, and my kerbal would be doing something from a racy movie, instead of trying to fix anything. I might have to uninstall different plugins, to find what one's causing the issue, which is annoying at the least, since that means a lot of trial and errors and researching the tech trees over and over to get it figured out. But, I don't understand why it's the installation I did, as it was done as per usual instructions.

the update seems to be more and more of a headache. I can't get the processing part to rez unless it's the root, when the reactor shuts down and says "EVA REPAIRS REQUIRED. I EVA, and I get no options to do anything to the reactor. add to it the other headaches, and it's just a pit of frustration

Tested, and yes, the processor, once set as a root part, does rez, but any other spot and it poofs. It would make more sense to be able to pump the fluids from the safety of a cockpit or radiation hardened safety bunker, instead of right up against it, though it seems with KAS, it slowly evens out the resources along all the spots. And no, I don't get an option to pump anything in an EVA form a reactor, just shutdown

still having the same issue, the refinery doesn't rez, so the plugin can't be used to do anything, and the tanks of UF4fuel can't pump around.

Well, checking, but so far, the message I've gotten once I add the item is [Error]: NpScene::createJoint: desc.isValid() fails! in debug. As far as pumping fuels around, none of the fuels pump in or out or around, making a right proper mess of trying to get fuel INTO the reactor, or actinites out. addingthe entry cost field into the .cfg field, to see if that might fix, but I'm doubting that's the issue Edit: Nope, adding an entry cost did not fix the issue.

I can't seem to get my reprocessing center to rez. I added to the .cfg file the following to get it to pop up in the tech tree. TechRequired = electronics It pops up, allows me to build in the SPH or VAB, then when FLY is hit, it takes a lil bit, then poof, the reprocessor's gone, and when revertingro killing the flight and going back to the assembly you find......NOTHING where you'd put the reprocessing center. Also, it seems the labs can't do anything, and the reactors make actinates only, no DU4, like it used to.

I still miss the kethane parts being able to scan and drill up the ore, as the augers I have NEVER been able to get to work right, and the ore scanner now in the pack is a nightmare size, as well as break off with a sneeze

Are we just gonna get teasers, or we going to see some new stuff available for playtime soon?
