  1. No, all Sid needs is a do-it-yourself lifesupport book, a bungee cord, lots of string, three tin cans, lots of Duck tape and whole ton of jello... Wait, I think I'm reading the wrong set of instructions?
  2. Shame on you Czokletmuss! Posting a pic like that without putting Dun Dun DUUUNNNNN! ? That's sacrilege! I mean, it practically looks like he's saying it!
  3. That pic didn't necessarily mean it was at the end of the burn. It could have been during the burn and the course shown wasn't the final escape course. T+15min is a while, and usually I'd expect a burn to be over by then, but BERTY could be running thrust light to be safe. The Proteus has been through a lot.
  4. Someone remind me, there wasn't any fuel at the station they just left, right? Because I'm pretty sure fuel was a big issue after the mining/refueler bit the big one. I'm pretty sure that a straight run to Eeloo is out, though a 'grand tour' thing with various gravity slingshots around planets to save fuel might work... take a LONG time though!
  5. Awwww, you mean Rozer's not keeping up with Proteus? They don't make RCS packs like they used to! (BTW, seems your inbox is packed Czokletmuss. Private messages aren't getting through)
  6. Two of them safe on the station, Rozer (if his RCS can get him back to the station!) should be safe, the real question is Jeb on the Proteus... if he still is on the Proteus. It looks like he is, but who knows? Is he alive? Is Berty fully insane? Is he even self aware any more with all the data errors? All these questions and more will (probably) be answered on the next episode of SOAP... no, I mean the Grand Tour!
  7. So... this a wretched demi-spoiler? 'Eric the half a spoiler'? Hums tune... with all the right notes, though not necessarily in the right order. ... ... Oh, and do I need add 'Dun Dun... oh why bother? Everyone knows by now (And in case you hadn't figured it out I'm just in a silly mood right now... OK, when am I not in a silly mood? Hmmm...)
  8. Someone or... DUN DUN DUNNNNNN Something? How big is Berty's core anyway?
  9. Warning warning. Airlock has been painted red. Disaster imminent!
  10. Maybe it wasn't the Krussians at all that built that space station? SOVIET POWER SUPREME! And a really big booster (Burpe Cola anyone?)
  11. Hunams? Them pink squiggly, ungainly, big things? Nawwww, pure scifi! Go back to playing Human Space Program!
  12. Unless he manages a really complicated (and long winded) series of slingshot maneouvers around many planets I don't think the Proteus has the fuel to get to Eeloo any more. No matter what a reactivated Berty tries.
  13. Just the antimatter drives would be bad, but the warp drives? Hmm, wonder how long they'll take to manufacture the systems to generate exotic matter for the drive systems? Would that be multiples of square root of minus one days? I 'imagine' it would.
  14. I attempted to do the 'Happy Guides' in game but ran into a problem with the texture. It seems to tile the visor, so no matter how large I made the smiley face it got rings of other faces on the edges. In the end I made it small enough that the edges were blank. I forget which suit I used as the template for that, but I messed around with the textures to remove a lot of those red stripes and paste in the dark texturing as copies (tricky to find patches that matched). Also having issues with KSP right now so it's been a little... strained getting things working, but recently have managed to get a few games working. Still got tons of graphical glitches
  15. I'm not sure if this has been suggested before (and it's too early in the morning for me to wade through posts to find out) but would it be possible to add an option to shut down all options on the right of the menu for that fuel type? IE if you've engaged 'balance all' or several 'pump in' and 'pump out' on the right buttons, a simple control to switch them all off at the same time? It can be a pain on a large rocket to go through and shut them all off one at a time. I'm guessing adding it along side the 'balance all' button so it comes up once per fuel type on the list.
  16. OK, first, sorry no new posts. Sorry if this gets anyone's hopes up. Right now I'm having rather serious, if intermittent issues with my computer and KSP. I do intend to finish this story off and lead into the next one, but for that to happen I need to have a stable platform. I have been able to run some games and even got a little way into setting up the next story up... but have run into graphical glitches, crashes and some oddities with running the Linux version of KSP. Yeah, I had to get rid of Windows when my HD fried and I gave up for a time and am using Linux, Ubuntu actually, right now. I also don't seem to be able to use my graphics card at all. The computer just refuses to boot at all with it plugged in. I suspect it's a power supply issue, even though the power supply should be way more powerful than it needs to be. I know, I'm repeating myself. Happens when I get annoyed with this stuff! *sigh* Suffice to say I haven't been playing KSP much lately (in between crashes), even though I do have a version of 23.5 installed... which has more issues than 23 does for me, and have kind of pulled away a little. I'm hoping I can save up to afford a decent upgrade to my computer and to buy Windows nine when it comes out. As I say above...Win 8?... no, just no! And apparently MS has decided in it's infinite wisdom that Win 7 new should cost tons more than Win 8.... right, makes perfect sense! I know, you can get cheaper versions of Win 7, but trust me I've been through that and had issues with most of it. I'll deal with Ubuntu for now, then get back to windoze later. If anyone is starved for my story telling I have started on a tale that doesn't need a game to play out. It's on the Alternate History forums, and unfortunately where I posted I think you have to register and sign in to be able to read it. However, if anyone is interested it's an attempt to continue on from where the movie of Galaxy Quest left off. Galaxy Quest: Return to the Void
  17. Definitely a 'WOW' moment. That is some exquisite story telling there KSK. One thought, if Johnton keeps holding the Kerm's mind together, and someone else were to plant more cuttings, could he guide it through the meld until it's increased mind could hold itself together? Stave it over the perilous times? The whole thing would be risky of course, but after surviving the first splintering, perhaps, just perhaps, the Kerm can grow even further without danger?
  18. *grins* I'm glad I could help, and I wanna see the 'Happy Guides' too. I gotta see if I can get a black suited Kerbal pic and put a yellow smiley face on the faceplate. "Nothing to see here folks, move al...*OOF* Hey, who put that wall there?" "Lenny, stop treading on me feet!" Queue keystone cops riff Loved the episode. Brings new meaning to 'Pod Racing'
  19. With a Lemon! Tisk, young whippersnappers today have no consideration of the classics! *goes muttering off to himself on a zimmer frame* Am I too old if I listened to the original on the radio when I was a kid? *sigh*
  20. Tsk, for shame! Gargle Blasters! All the poor poor wee slices of lemon out of a job. Tis a shame, a shame!
  21. Sphere eaters.... monoliths... Come back Discovery, all is forgiven! Just don't let one of those things drop into Jool! "It's shrinking... It's shrinking!"
  22. Who needs to return? He's got a nice head start on the Laythe ocean front property market. Hey, maybe he brought some tools with him and can convert the capsule into a little hut or something. Either that or it's a transformer capsule!
  23. My Kod... It's full of stars.... Well, I'm sure Jeb qualifies Things getting interesting. Station expanded. No sign of wear and tear on the Life support. No sign of habitation at all. No data before the signal... This can mean only one thing! THIS STATION IS A CLONE! Some alien malarky has duplicated the entire station, starting at the point the signal was sent, leaving it untouched by Kerbal hands. It's the only logical answer!
  24. And now for something completely the same.... SPOOOOON! (Yes, I admit it. I'm a horrible Tick addict!)
