  1. Why don't you try instead of asking the same question in every thread ? Unless there is further notice, most mods don't seem to be broken by the update.
  2. The ORDA computer requires that the ORDA docking ports are attached to the craft. If you use it with Erkle's mod, you would have to put the Erkle docking ports over the ORDA ones. Not sure how that will go down...
  3. That's because Minmus doesn't rotate. You have to manually change the heading of 10 degrees each time you pass over the North pole (burn Normal+, like an inclination change) I find I usually get a better coverage with an 80° inclination. The beam is wide enough to cover most of the poles and you get more passes.
  4. I was actually building this kind of ship, but I was calling it an interplanetary modular exploration vehicle. I have all the bits designed, but I'm struggling with the ORDA mod throwing my docked modules off... Oh, and the lag when you use this mod is terrible!
  5. I use it pretty much all the time. I learnt how to do all the manoeuvers manually, but now, I pretty much concentrate on the mission, building a craft that for that mission, and getting where I want to get. Many missions involve multiple launches (like having fun with the docking mods, refueling, Mun base delivery, crew transfers, or building a comsat network). Flying the same rocket manually 5 times in a row can get boring, especially when you have a robust design that works well and there are no surprises. So it's nice to just lean back and let the computer handle the boring part so that you can concentrate on the mission.
  6. The ISAMap plugin can map up to 4x warp. To change inclination with MechJeb, set the Attitude to NORMAL+ or - and burn (which is the same as what AlexL said).
  7. The best is Kosmos, but it's out of date and they seem to be struggling to get it updated and rereleased.
  8. Also, there are plenty premade .craft files that can take you to the Mun and back. Having inifinite fuel is just silly. The whole point of flying a rocket is managing fuel.
  9. Use RCS to gently thrust prograde and retrograde at apoapsis and periapsis to fine tune your orbit.
  10. It doesn't seem to play well with MechJeb. The MechJeb can't control the escape pod and the ASAS puts it into a fast roll. Without some kind of attitude control, I find it unusable.
  11. I think it's a bad idea, especially for beginners.
  12. Oh that'll teach me to read too fast Your mods are really the best... I'm currently flying your Dragon Rider (with a home-made trunk module) on a modified Angara (resized to 2m and rebalanced by myself), so I can't wait to get my hands on the update. I haven't found anything wrong with the Dragon Rider yet... except that it seems to be pretty high poly and brings my computer to a halt in those critical moments when you are trying to board from an EVA or dock.
  13. Are you sure you need a higher poly version ? The Angara and Kosmos parts make me lag quite a bit already...
  14. Basically, it's a rendez-vous and you just ram into the debris instead of docking.
  15. This isn't possible yet. You can't control spacecraft that don't have a proper pod (a pod that is selected in the VAB when you start building your craft). Some mods like MechJeb allow you to take control of crew tanks, fake pods, or unmanned debris, but none of them offer full control like a real pod. So basically, you can't do an Apollo mission in one launch yet.
  16. The linear RCS thrusters are totally imbalanced.
  17. Manual rendez-vous isn't hard once you know how to do it. It just takes patience and time. There several tutorials in the how to forum.
  18. Look at page 15 of this thread.
  19. Impressive! Imagine the size of those plumes could engulf Earth. Also, search for the Shoemaker Levy comet that hit Jupiter in 1994.
  20. Seeing as Munoliths are invisible from over 1000m away, without some kind of detector, your challenge is just about being lucky enough to land on top of one.
  21. This is really just a quick hack. I'm not sure that the plugin API allows real orbital construction or switching focus. Real docking, added to the core code of KSP, will allow so much more.
  22. Apollo 4 didn't go to the Moon. It was the first unmanned test launch of the Saturn V and only flew to a high elliptical orbit to simulate a lunar reentry. Apollo 8 was the first manned circumlunar flight.
