The Soaring Gardens of Laythe - COMPLETED
littlebattler replied to M4ck's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
The Bubbleblower, because it looks like one and it's full of air and bubbles. -
ooh, this mod fits with stock parts really nicely < is expressly beaten to death

That's my first reaction to the title. "What has a trojan?"

for rich tourists who want to stay in a low gravity hotel. Because face it, tourism is an industry no one has mentioned and if we can get enough demands to drive the cost down we may actually have a reason to go there. In a very simplified sense, we can say that as long as people want to go there, we will go there, because the will to go there is by itself an economic incentive. Of course, I'm not saying it will happen anytime soon. It's too expensive for all but the few richest people to afford, and those people probably don't want to blow a more significant than usual portion of their fortunes on silly 3 hour or so frolicking about in a moon crater.

Of course it's important. If we don't think of ourselves as important, no one else will. People killing each other and **** is also a great premise for reality shows, as fiction has taught us.

infinite energy is not possible under the current known laws of physics or something along those lines. it's probably very improbable for us to find any sort of loophole or exceptions in a reasonable amount of time for any >100% energy mechanisms to be invented. It'll be nice if wasted ambient energy can be recaptured and recycled for a really close to 100% running efficiency though.

it's a pokemon device, of course it's a good idea those things already look like hotcakes, they will probably sell as well too

Monster Hunter Tri Ultimate, because regular hack and slash action RPG is too easy. And dragons are awesome. It's more like I haven't bought any AAA title since then than anything else, but I'm looking forward for Pokemon XY.

We're in a reality show watched by 4 dimensional beings for entertainment. It's a show where puny 3D species try to survive on a planet. They're actually rigging the odds against us to keep things interesting. We're not even the prime time show, that time slot belongs to a planet orbiting a star we don't even see because it's too young and far away. That planet has been reduced to a hippie utopia where all the inhabitants are permanently stoned and ratings are dropping fast. Either that or we just don't know yet and I think it's silly for me to go into random assumptions without enough data. Crackpot theories amuse me though.

littlebattler replied to Togs8896's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Oho Good job there, although Albatross is usually a name given to ships with huge wings. -

Radial decouplers as rover suspension
littlebattler replied to diegzumillo's topic in KSP1 Discussion
The "bendy hinges" (structural pylons) work too, just in case any of you wonder. -
That thanks to unity it's impossible for a part to have 2 parent parts. So much potential wasted there. Good thing we have struts to compensate.

They're just a bunch of overly well-funded, overcompetent engineers that have near-zero common sense. Thus being both too smart AND too dumb at the same time. They're also cute green bundles of marshmallow-y joy. So all of the above.

cute~ didn'texpect a butterfly probe

SSTO 8 Kerbal Transport "Styx"
littlebattler replied to Karmacoma's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Been a while since I last saw anyone built a twin hull ship. That rocket engine clip is in rather good taste I suppose. -

[0.22] Extraplanetary Launchpads Legacy Thread
littlebattler replied to skykooler's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Question. I have a runway on my space station and it won't load the build craft screen. Why is this? -
i5 second generation quad core with 4gb RAM and nvidia gpu with 1gb dedicated graphics RAM for 560 US$. It's taiwanese (obviously) and is 2 years old. but less parts = less mass = higher TWR = better performance. Even with a good computer there is plenty of reason to keep your part count to a minimum, so yes having a thread for minimalistic designs is a good idea. The only bad thing that can come out of this is people arguing about whether or not parts clipping is a valid design choice or not.
