  6. Hey Lombaxy, welcome to the forums! I hope you find them enjoyable. Have fun and happy launchings! P.S. I can't believe you got to Duna within 6 days of playing. It took me a month or two to finally get there.
  7. Hey Yuriski, welcome back to the forums! I hope you find them as good as they were when you left. Have fun and happy launchings!
  8. My worst mission ever was when I went through all the hassle of launching a base into orbit around the Mun. Then I went through all the hassle of launching a skycrane, rendezvousing, docking, and finally landing the entire craft. The one problem: I didn't have enough delta-V to land. I spent some 3 hours on the mission, and you can imagine that I was extremely disappointed when it was all over.
  9. I put this into orbit, all in one go: I was quite surprised that the entire thing got into space without falling apart.
  10. Welcome to the forums, ZodiaK. I hope you find them enjoyable.
  11. I'm sure the event was a sight to behold! I remember my first few missions on Minmus... Ah, those were the days.
  12. 44. Try to land and take off from Eve
  13. I don't know what it is about it, but this is one of my top favorites:
  14. Alright, so here's the scoop: I'm in the process of landing on every planet in the game; I've already laid the foundation by sending a lander to Duna. It's now landed, and I'm waiting for the planets to align themselves so I can send it home. I've also sent a space station to Eve; it's now a month away, in game time, from an encounter. While I wait for everything to happen, I decided it would be time to set up a Kethane mining base on Minmus. I just sent a satellite to search for Kethane, and here it is: I've started to attribute cool names to all crafts that are used for long term missions (i.e. the D.L.R. Project or the E.O.B.E.R. Project). I'm calling this one the M.K.M.O.E., or Minmus. Kethane. Mining. Operation. Establishment., Project. It should be a fun time.
  15. I quicksave all the time; I mainly use it to fix a stupid mistake that I made. Someday, when I become better at playing the game, I'll stop quicksaving, but for now I'm happy with what I'm doing.
  16. Welcome to the forums, Megapead! It's a pleasure to meet you. I hope you find this place enjoyable.
  17. Hey PanWieldingMann! Welcome to the forums. I hope you find them enjoyable.
  18. Before I first landed on the Mun, I watched some 2 hours worth of Mun landing videos on YouTube, just so that I wouldn't mess up. I was able to make it there and back on my first attempt, so I'd call it successful.
  19. My #1 most hated thing about KSP: My own stupidity. I'll get into space, fly to the Mun, try to land, and crash because I didn't pack enough fuel. Not only did I just spend an hour doing all the flying, but I now have to do it all again. My #1 most liked thing about KSP: Successfully, without cheating, completing a long and tedious mission. Nothing is sweeter than that.
  20. I chose 'interplanetary travel and return' because, well, that's where I'm at. Someday I hope to become better. By the way, to the 20+ people who chose 'Scott Manley', I'd like to see a video of them doing something like dock a landing system to a pod that's freefalling through the atmosphere of Eve or Laythe, while on a minimalistic amount of fuel, in order to believe that they deserve their chosen skill level.
  21. I always thought that Kerbals had characteristics akin to those of Superman; they can never die of starvation, asphyxiation, or dehydration, not to mention the fact that they can survive forever just floating in space, alone. With the ability to cheat death like that, why not let them have the ability to withstand high levels of radiation?
  22. Before anyone even thinks about helping, you need to clarify on what you mean by "telescope". Is it a telescope from a mod? If so, what mod?
