My 3rd Mission to the Mun.Coming down for Landing,I botched my approach and smacked the side of crater Rim,Detaching my landing stage.With onlythe fuel and engine of the Return stage,I decieded a landing to be impossible,and prepped for Burn back to circular to meet with my Transfer stage.When I saw it In my Flight path,the only thing that could make this landing possible. The Armstrong Memorial.a Place I had never seen before lie in my path.and with it my landing site.I began to Burn,Slowing my horizontal speed and trying to keep my vertical near Zero.I had to come in and lean on it to land,my only hope. I closed in to about 700 meters to it,still coming in at about 5 m/s Horizontal.Facing upwards,I hit it,at about 6,breaking off my Batteries,but leaving me intact.I slid down the side,and used a minor amount of fuel to rest myself on the ground,leaning my craft against the Memorial. Landing Successful.no further damage.I never planted a flag.Just looked at it,cried a bit,and took off.I returned the the Transfer Stage and returned to Kerbin. To this day I'm grateful that SQUAD paid their respects to a great man..It forever remains my favorite place on the Mun.My First Kethane Base was a Kilometer away from it.And I visit at least once a new Save.

  7. Well,thanks for the reply..unfortunately,none of that helped. To start,I D/L'd your latest Version and tried it out.And when I went back to the VAB,I got the problem I described the first time.And I got the log this time Now,this is a Fresh install,your new Module Manager.dll and everything.So,I Removed it completly,and put a fresh version of your 1.4 in,WITHOUT the Module Manager.dll included and pulled one from my Vet Tech Tech Tree Folder...and it reverted to the FIRST thing I originally Described,with the Game going all whacky like a Kraken Attack. Hopefully there's some info you can mine off that.
  8. Yes,I seem to be having a few Issues with this great Mod..The Biggest one is that The Launch Countdown and Kerbal Alarm Clock dont get along,AT ALL. Having both installed at the same time causes some wierdness.I'm floating high Above Kerbin,Engine FX going everywhere..and the Entire System is all out of Whack.Eello is Intersecting Jool,all the Orbits are Eliptical..Kerbin is gone and when I go to the map it's a Zoomed up view of the sun. Unistalling either this or Kerbal Alarm Clock fixes the issue,so I went with this instead..loving it BTW..but when I return to the VAB,the entire interface goes to hell and I can select anything at the Staging corrupts.I can only Click Exit,which takes 3 or 4 clicks to do what it's told.and Then I Can only go back to the main menu and exit the game... I've tried to recreate the Problem to get a Debug log...but now it's just Crashing any time I try to go back to the Space Center. Mods installed: B9 Aerospace My Personal Flag Folder Kerbal Engineer Redux Procedural Fairings Mech Jeb Vet Tech Tech Tree The New SRB and Engine Sounds Hope we can find a fix.

Why yes I have.I was Once Launching a Kethane Mining Mission into a Parking Orbit to Await a Tug Vessel.And on the Ascent to my 150 km Parking Orbit,I Smacked my Space Station which Sits at 100 km.I couldn't have hit this thing any better if I tried.Complete loss of the Mining Mission and the Space Station.No Casualties thankfully,as the Mining Vessel was unmanned and I didn't hit the Station's Crew Compartment.

  11. I'm excited,as it will make Mission controller Extended a MUST HAVE mod for me!I can wait though,as I want the tech and starting parts to be Proper.on the KSP Weekly screenshot,there's no decouplers or a probe core.I'd like to start out with those if possible.
  12. I have a Tendency to look after My Kerbals.I'll spend days working out a new design,using the "Revert Flight" Button more like an "End Simulation" button. Let's face it, No Space Agency slaps a Rocket together and goes "Meh it'll do" and sends it up. I take Kerbal losses pretty hard,as it means Either My design as failed them,or My Piloting as failed them.On my main save,I've lost a total of 5 Kerbals on my Main .21 save.Hard lessons learned.I'm looking foward a pseudo career run in .22 with Mission Controller Extended. However,with that said,I DO have a Screw around save where I adbide by the Rule of "MOAR BOOSTERS" just to have some whacky insane Kerbal Fun! And hey! I've imported some of those designs into the main save cause they worked semi-decently.
  13. They are Useless to an Extent. I've been playing around with them as Orbital Drones to Check out Ike from Duna Orbit.But the burn is still pretty long.It's more of a Patience thing with them if anything.
  14. Really Cool mod.Gives new life and Viability to SRBs. I never really found too much use for them simply because of their burn times. Little tip to those Wishing to use a Combined LRB/SRB Stage.If you're using Mech Jeb,set up the Liquid Rockets first.Then Set your SRB's Burn Time What Mech Jeb says the Stage's Duration in Atmosphere will be.usually,the SRBs will burn out 3-5 seconds before your LRBs,so Fine Tune the SRBs' Burn Time to get them as close as you can!
  15. Hey there! Love the mod,been having alot of fun with it.And by "Fun" I mean "Failing at making helicopters".But I've run into a bit of a bug. My Propellers aren't Rotating,at all.They still provide thrust and all,but looking at the screenshots in some of these posts it seems the propellers are rotating.As a side note,my Helicopter Blades are rotating,but Painfully slow.

  17. I'd like one as well,Mostly because I was curious and decided to test this for myself.As I'm a tad pressed for time,I don not have Screenshots,but I ran a plane I like to use in .20. A Concept I thought up years ago,the SR-71 HAIF (High Altitude Intercept Fighter). Admittedly,it's FAR's SR-71 Blackbird with a bit of touching up with the B9 pack with Lazor and Pirated weapons. Changed in .20 on the FAR SR-71,are the intakes to the shock cones of B9, and 4 Diverterless intakes.Removed the adapter in favor of the B9 S2 Reaction wheel and 2 person cockpit along with Nosecone. Also added a pair of Strucual Wings and with small control surfaces to even up the CoL a bit and give her some more Lift at higher Altitudes. Along with Lazor System Stack and 4x Wasp Missiles on the Under belly. Mech Jeb only for Intake Air Readouts,as the Nose cone Avionics worked fine enough. She'll do Mach 5 at about 26 km,all day everyday. Maximum Altitude hit was 35 km before there was no air left. Engines can run to 24 km at maximum throttle. now..Here's where it gets interesting.Remove the Lazor Stack and the 4x Wasp Missiles in .21..EVERYTHING ELSE the same.... Need to throttle back at 17 km to keep the engines running. and Highest I can get is 24 km at Mach 3.38,and even then I dont have enough thrust to keep her Level so she falls out of the sky. Something here is obviously different..Not with the Design,but with the parts or the Atmosphere.Yet,looking over the Change logs,there should be nothing affecting it this much.I've ALSO noticed even with STOCK parts,if you are close to 10 kg/s of air to your minimum Air needed,you'll Flame out.This is Different from .20,where I could go BELOW the Minimum Air Needed by at least 2 kg/s before it Flamed out. Back to the HAIF,I did another Test Flight...Watching at when I start to lose how much Air she takes in,Both .20 and .21 Set on the runway with 337 Kg/s of Air feeding in.... .20 Starts losing Air at 11 km. .21 Starts losing Air at 6.5 km. Thank you Tex_NL,Exothermos,and Lazor Cut.You were all correct.My problem was not enough lift.and,unless I'm looking at the CoL wrong,I dont think there's an ingame way of knowing that until you try a plane out . Giving up on my 60 ton Craft for the time being,I went for a intermediate so to speak.Having not used the B9 Aerospace pack at all, (and seeing as I actually had a use for it now) I figured now would be a good a time as any.I dont really have a Name for it,other than a Designation "PD-02",I thought about the one weakness of the Core Booster,Delta-V.Having Redone my numbers,The Core Booster on an optimal ascent only has around 210-250 m/s at a 75-75 Orbit.The numbers I gave before,Upon Further inspection,were dipping into the atmosphere by varying amounts (Damn you Mech Jeb!). PD-02 is not much bigger than the Core Booster.At 28 Tons to the Core's 18,and only about 4 meters longer.Most of that weight is Fuel and shiny new Wings,inlets,and Cockpit! PD-02's takeoff is rather easy,though I find myself babying it to the end and then Pulling up.She Easily lifts her nose by the 1/2 mark,and can be airborne by the 3/4 Mark if I wanted to risk scraping that LV-45.I should really invest in a joystick,I know. 20 km and still Chugging a good amount of air.I was half Tempted to lower the nose and see how fast she'd go. But I thought better of it and Fired up that LV-45 at 24 km,Shutting the jets off around 25 km when it seemed best to run max throttle on the Rocket. Parked in an 80 km Orbit with a full kilometer of Delta-v Left!Please excuse me while i pat myself on the back.I'm Still in that phase where if something I build works I throw a small party in my living room .Showing off the Gear and airbrakes because that's totally a great thing to show off in space. Streaking back through the Atmosphere.Lessons learned from Flights in the Core Booster,I Transfer fuel into the front Tanks,even from the back Fuselage. All in the sake of keeping that CoL and CoM even.Because of thise,the ASAS handles the Descent fine on it's own.I even took a risk and went to the fridge to get my Celebratory Mountain Dew!Thankfully,it didnt flip out of control so yay me! Like the Core Booster,she glides rather nicely down without power.Though I must admit,I tried my damnedest to Stall her out and PD-02 defiantly Lowered her nose and recovered without any input from me. Safe and Sound back on Kerbin.Bonus Points because nothing fell off!The Airbrakes have two good uses,Decelerating after reentry and Bleeding the last few m/s of Airspeed before touchdown.Wich is exactly what they're supposed to do. All in all I'm rather happy with it.Might take it up later on a High Altitude run and see how fast she'll go.I'm betting somewhere around 800 m/s without rocket help,maybe more.We'll see.
  19. I've run into a bit of problem in my next design,and I'm hoping you guys can help me out.I look at alot of these and wonder how you get these things off the runway without the back hitting? I have a little 60 Ton concept tester that continually scrapes the ground on take-off. I've given it more ground clearance,Used Radial Rockets,Moved the landing gear around,nothing works.so how you do set up your larger craft?

I realized on my last post I forgot to Say my Landing was less than Spectacular...By that I mean I lost Control of the Craft and Used my Ejection System!However,after a bit of Tweaking (Mostly moving the COL Back just a tad so it's near even on return) I Successfully landed my first Space Plane! Using the RCS and manual Control while she bled off Airspeed before letting the ASAS take over.At about 700 m/s the ASAS can control it without my input and She Glides down rather Gracefully As shown in this picture. Err...Well,They say any landing you can Walk away from is a good one...
  21. Hey Hey! I've learned alot from Seeing these Planes.And After alot of work.I FINALLY Made my First SSTO! Introducing the FF-X7-Bst Core Booster! Just off the Ground,Climbing Rapidly! 75 Kilometers! Circular Orbit! Mission Accomplished! Inverted over Kerbin Closeup of the Front End Coming in Hot! My Only Problem with it so far is I kinda forgot to put fuel into the Wing Tanks meaning My Jets didn't Reactivate.Do I even need those Fuel Lines?Comments are Appreciated! Final Notes is I'd Like to know what you think and Optimal Ascend would be with this Set-up (2x Turbojets,1x Aerospike) Current Ascent is Climb at Maximum Throttle at 30 Degrees until 10 km. At 10 km,Ascend at 45 Degrees.Monitor intakes Via Mechjeb and Throttle back as necessary. Activate Aerospike at around 23 km or 2/3 Throttle,whichever comes first. Change to 55 Degrees and Pin Throttle,Shutting off Jets in the Process. After That it's a Pretty Standard Climb to 75 km leaving me around 330-413 m/s Delta-V after Circulation Burn.   22. Greetings! I am Char0093. You can Call me Char for short.Been Playing KSP for about a month now,and Been having alot of fun and not so much fun. (Read:Explosions) Anyways.Thought I'd make my presence known,even if I wont be using this much. Current Achievements Include: Mun Landing Minmus Landing Munar Mining Ship (Kethane FTW) Duna Rover Space Station. Currently I'm Planning a Manned Mission to Duna using pretty much the Same Design as the Rover.Thankfully,I gave the Rover some Kethane Detection and mining Capabilty in case I don't Bring enough Fuel on the manned mission
