  1. I started in .20, and I actually played the first two weeks or so unaware of the quicksave function. Boy was my heart pounding when I went in to land after a long mission... and boy did I end a lot of missions prematurely. Haha. Now I justify my quicksaving by telling myself that NASA plans for their missions for months, while I plan mine in like 2 minutes. Sometimes I just gotta give myself some slack.
  2. I built a pretty big station the first time. Later on I decided to start making them a lot smaller and simpler just because of framerate issues. This is one of my recent ones, able to stock a decent amount of fuel and dock quite a lot of ships at once. The only lights on it are illuminating the docking wings. What a station needs depends on what you're going to use it for. I'd imagine most KSP stations are used for refueling, in which case all you really need is a command pod (piloted or AI), a fuel tank or two, docking ports and maybe a couple of solar panels + batteries. Your only power drain will probably be lights, and those large solar panels generate so much juice, large arrays are mostly cosmetic.
  3. I really think a simple "the closer you are, the less cost it is to recover the parts" will work find with career mode. That way noobs won't be forced to land in an arbitrary target area, and pros will be rewarded for their precision.
  4. I'm kinda hoping they get physics warp to be more stable at least, but I'm not holding my breath. That's a tall order, especially in early development.
  5. Been playing for a month or so, just now dropping in to check out the forums
