  1. Wait, you can edit the quicksaves? That's news to me. I won't, though. I use quicksave before important things sometimes, but I rarely actually load even when I screw something up. Failure is part of the game for me, and I enjoy having some scenery of "Spacecraft Whatever Mk2.34 Debris" lying around.
  2. I'm slowly building up a supply of orange tanks with nukes attached in orbit, designed a core vehicle to attach to three of them and carry kerbals, plus another docking port on the nose for a multi-satellite science package to be tacked on. Kind of forgot to put landing gear on the thing though, so it'll have to come back down for that addition. Oops.
  3. I haven't even made it to Jool or Moho yet, clearly I need to aim for Eeloo first! My main save does have Eeloo headed inward right now, so the timing is probably decent.
  4. This is a kick. I enjoyed it. Sadly I got a whopping 250 points due to a slight miscalculation. As a note, this operation had zero test flights / simulations. Jeb was loaded and went and landed and came back and died on the first attempt. I think I can do both Mun and Minmus with this setup. I'll try again later. Thanks for the challenge!
  5. I've had some I couldn't explain, but usually on a tightly packed ship. Typically some little part fails and something hits something else and then this happens: Nothing that has gone BLAM while turned off, though.
  6. I've landed on Duna, Eve, various moons, etc. in 0.20, what I've done in 0.21 is in the badges. (Unmanned to Duna and Ike orbits, one craft that splits into two sats) Haven't returned from anything further away than Minmus though. I need to work on that.
  7. None of the above, heh. My first lander was mostly out of fuel when it touched down, so it certainly wasn't going anywhere. I landed a rescue mission (eventually), only to find that the Kerbal who had been stranded had disappeared. I guess leaving him standing outside the lander was a bad idea, or maybe I hit end mission instead of space center. In any event, he had issues!
  8. Good to hear, I have another one in progress. Significantly more points if I don't crash it
  9. This was fun, I'll be returning to it for a more fleshed out attempt (satellites, etc). Here's my scoring: - All one rocket, etc. +30 - 3-man Mission +10 - 2-man Lander +10 - 2-stage Lander (leave the decent-engine on the mün) +20 - Flawless landing (no parts broke off, Neil Armstrong is watching you!) +10 - After succesfull Mün landing docked CM and MM in Orbit (no swapping ships without docking them first) +10 - MM disposed by crashing it into the Mün (remove Kerbal first!) +5 - Plant flag on the Mün (no cumulative, i.e. two flags don't get you 6 points) +3 I total that as 98 points, not exactly spectacular, but whatever, it was fun! 10. First post! This is a fun challenge, had to create an account to put my entry in. The ship: The data: 2620m/s, manually controlled. I'm going to do some more with mechjeb and see if it helps.
