  2. Nearly 48 hours without any positive words or suggestions... What has.happened to this community? I think I'm leaving but not before you find out how lost and alone you made me feel.
  3. So without telling you my sob story, I made a lot of KSP videos, then lost my home and was hospitalised for a while. (None of those things are related.) I've not made anything for a long while but recently came up with a Kerbal/Hitman parody. I'm probably going to wait for the Unity 5 update before I make anything new. However, recently I've been devoid of inspiration anyway. Does anyone have any ideas (preferably something that lasts around 2 minutes) on things they'd like to see?

  6. Switching to a vessel more than 200m away with no jet engines but within the physics bubble will cause the first jet to throttle down. [edit: Even if it didn't I'm still struggling with the problem of even switching vessels while moving and more than 200m away. can I change this radius?]
  7. I want to turn off cutting throttle when switching away from crafts, and to be able to change vessels while moving over the surface. Neither Lazor Systems or burn together work/do this, so please don't suggest is there a modification I can make to the install for this personally?
  8. Hi there. I've been away for a few months and am just now coming back to KSP, and making videos. I was wondering if anyone could some beautification mods that look good on an EVA scale. (That is close up on a Kerbal, who's not in a vessel) So not EVE, or Orbital Enhancement, there was also a texture compression mod, though I can't remember the name, if anyone could point me to that I would be grateful. Also has anyone made an FOV slider mod?
  9. In this weeks dev notes, Romfarer talked about issues with defining errors where there are non by design. Why not give us a means to pick up a bunch of parts and label it "probe" or "rover", then re-attach it to the vessel main stage thusly when you make your lander or rover in the VAB/SPH the correct Engineering algorithms can be applied, and when it is deployed in flight, it is already marked as the correct vessel type. Any thoughts on this?

I had been having more success launching the 64 bit version of KSP, (W7 64 bit) I really do need to buy new memory, it was something I had planned to expand 6 years ago when I built this comp and bought 4GB, (I think my mobo can handle 16) but never got round to it. I almost forgot about memory limitations, I hardly ever run into them. Gotta love KSP for testing the system. Turns out I did buy 8gb. Now I'm even more confused.
  11. Turns out it's not just tweakscale. Everything is broken and I'm getting too frustrated to deal with it. Here's a link to the two most recent crash dumps.
  12. So tweakscale is breaking my game, permanently. Even after everything associated with tweakscale is removed from game data, game continues to crash. Tried 1.44, 1.47, and 1.5 The only way to undo the damage I have found is to delete EVERYTHING in the game data folder. Verify through steam. Other mods: Infernal robotics. Camera Tools, KerbCAM, Enviro visual Enhancement, Kittopia, Ambient light, Collision FX, Distant Object Enhancement, Hyperedit and texture replacer. This is driving me insane because I want to use Infernal robotics but find the parts too big.
  13. On Eva, when a Kerbal jumps or falls they remain in a standing position, that is, they remain vertical with regard to the planet surface. I would love to be able to write a plugin that forces them to translate to be perpendicular and facing the planet surface. I believe kerbalVesselObject.transform.rotation.LookAt would be involved but I don't know how to .LookAt the centroid of the current planetary body. Is there some flag active when on EVA? (I would need to have it only apply to Kerbals on EVA) how do I get the plugin to only be active in atmosphere?

  15. Yeah, everything is pretty complicated. I can get into space then blast the payload into a stable orbit, but then I lose everything on the way down. I think I've sorted the fuel flow, just need to sort all the other problems out, lol/
  16. This works, but kind of spoils the design, lol. It's just a mess of yellow at the back. - - - Updated - - - They are not equivalent, I don't know how, but they aren't. My right click function works badly and I can't keep track of oxidser in flight.
  17. I am having a headache. I can't figure out how to do this so all the fuel is used by all of the engines. Any ideas? With no fuel lines, each of the side engines use the fuel in the standard fueselage, and the inline engines use the fuel going from front to back, I believe. (This is however not the case, see below) This is not balance related, it works fine no matter the order the tanks is drained. I just can't get the oxidiser to be distributed when switching to it. The bottom engines flame out "no oxidiser" Let me know if I need to upload the craft file.

  19. Thanks, thats good to know. I didn't realise Kerbals are treated as a singe object it seems, because their limbs are apparently unaffected by wind resistance in the current aero version. They flop downwards even when falling at high speed. Back to the drawing board.
  20. Basically I want Kerbals in freefall to look more like they are skydiving. I am pretty sure the current fall animation needs to be rotated, as I don't think it would affect the transition, and even if it did, I could live with that. Any ideas on where I need to start?

  22. When a radioactive asteroid is about to hit Kerbin, a single Kerbal will steal, crash, rebuild and sleep on moderately cold and dusty floors to save all of Kerbalkind.
