[1.1.2][1-1-2] May 13-2016 EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements
MrJPenguin1 replied to rbray89's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Helpful, thanks! Now, can you give me a tut to just install Astronomers because yours was a mixture. I'll still try yours but I was just looking for a tut. on Astronomer's pack. -

MrJPenguin1 replied to rbray89's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Listen, I know that this is a very simple task. But I've never understood mods. I know how to install the mod and how to make it work, but I don't dare try to install Proot's or Astronomer's texture pack. That and I just installed the latest version. Can someone please tell me how to install both of their texture packs please for the latest version (6-8)? Thank you! -

I'm not sure whether or not you stated this in an earlier post, but does it come pre-installed with Astronmer's HD cloud pack? -

Since we are going to have Aurora soon, here are the planets that I believe should have Aurora: -Kerbin: It probably has a very strong magnetic field, most likely powerful enough to support the green little Kerbals. -Laythe: It probably also has a magnetic field, since there it is volcanically active and radioactive as well. Also, its being next to Jool's massive magnetic field helps. Jool: It's a gas giant, with a massive magnetic field. If all of the figures (aside from size and density) are the same, then Kerbin's magnetic field would be 0.3 gauss, while Jool would be 4.3 gauss. Planets that could have it: Duna: It has been reported by the Mar Express that Mars also has Aurora. Little tiny ones that are nearest to where the "magnetic field" is strongest. Eve: Eve, like Venus, probably doesn't have a magnetic field. However it could still have aurora. From Wikipedia: "Venusian auroras are produced by the impact of electrons originating from the solar wind and precipitating in the night-side atmosphere.". Hopefully this is a good list. -
Wait, was that part necessary?

Kerbonaut parachutes
MrJPenguin1 replied to LethalDose's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Wait, did this guy do a repeat of the same thread? Just saying. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/61255-Kerbonaut-parachutes -
missing biomes!
MrJPenguin1 replied to Whirligig Girl's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I would absolutely love for someone to add these biomes in game, along with Krag's planet factory. They don't even have to have messages like Kerbin and the Mun do. I would be content with the biomes! Speaking of which, would it be possible to add biomes with mods, or would it require breaking into the game? -
Possible Planet Additions (Revised)
MrJPenguin1 replied to Samio's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Why doesn't this thread have more attention? I mean, this is really amazing! I want to see these in the game, especially Bombarda! Do any of these planets have any geological feature on them or are they just drawings? -
In 0.22, there does not appear to be any way of looking back at that hard earned science that you collected. As soon as the mission ends, the science experiments are gone and the samples are no longer there. Which got me thinking, what if we had a building in the Kerbal Space Center which allowed you to look back at all the science experiments you collected? It shouldn't be that hard to implement and if would be nice if you could always have those science experiments with you. Here's my idea of how it would work: When you return/transmit your science, your science will also get automatically stored. If you've brought samples from the Mun and you bring it back, then it would go into a group called something like: Munar Surface Science. There would be 3 types of sections: [PLANET/MOON] Surface Science [PLANET/MOON] Low Orbit Science [PLANET/MOON] High Orbit Science If you got a certain bit of science in low Munar orbit, that science would be stored and it would go into the Low Orbit Science group. If you were in high Eve orbit, any science you get would go into the High Orbit Science group. Let me know what you think of this idea.

Planet Ideas And Names For The Future Of Kerbal Space Program
MrJPenguin1 replied to Dead Pixel's topic in KSP1 Discussion
It probably won't be released for a really long time. In order to add planets, you have to break into the source code which ,as of now, is a big nono to the Devs and users. -
Planet Ideas And Names For The Future Of Kerbal Space Program
MrJPenguin1 replied to Dead Pixel's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Because Eeloo is an analogue of Enceladus, a moon of Saturn. It only belongs to a gas giant. -
Planet Ideas And Names For The Future Of Kerbal Space Program
MrJPenguin1 replied to Dead Pixel's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Before we even make new planets, FIX THE OCEANS. Thank you. But if we did have a new planet, it would have to be the planet named "Xubol" which is described in "A Kerbal's Guide to our solar system" by NovaSilisko. According to NovaSilisko, it is a ball of molten sand and salt and is the closest planet to the Sun. Its radius is 200 km and it's surface gravity is 0.2 g's. So if it's molten then it would be composed of lava with sandy landscapes. I personally think that it should be tidally locked and should have a superheated atmosphere as well. -
Are those clouds? HOLY SHOOT! Is this a mod or was this something that you added? I must have these clouds now! Also nice Mir!

Possible Planet Additions (Revised)
MrJPenguin1 replied to Samio's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Bombarda, which has a lovely ring system, could be considered the analogue for Saturn, and since it has 3 moons, we could just make more analogues for the moons Titan, Rhea, and Enceladus. In fact, Eeloo is most likely the analogue for Enceladus. I personally think Craio could be moved to Jool as the Io analogue. That way Jool would have six moons and Bombarda would still have five moons. -
I think, that on each planet and moon, there would be a piece of a warp drive that would eventually build something that would be incredibly powerful and efficient and you would unlock a new solar system. Using the warp drive, you could get to the new system. Or maybe in place of the warp drive pieces, you'd have to find all of the easter eggs and then the new solar system would be unlocked. If that were the case, then there would be a real reason to travel to the planets and moons in KSP. Sure, it would be very challenging, but that's the fun part about it!

Possible Planet Additions (Revised)
MrJPenguin1 replied to Samio's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
It most likely wouldn't. Laythe is more or less a fauna, because with an oxygen atmosphere, there is most likely plant life in the water and maybe even primitive fish, but it isn't gone because of the no alien rule. I'm pretty sure all of these suggestions will be alright in terms of the alien life rule. -
I'm more excited for more real life planet analogues. I love the planets that we have right now, but I was a Saturn and a Titan and an Eris! And I also want other planetary systems, but I don't want them randomly generated. I want another system that will have the same planets for everyone. Just a pet peeve. But I definitely want more KSP analogues for real planets in our Solar System. And an Asteroid Belt.

Ahh yes, I remember when I first landed on the Mun in the demo. After what seemed like countless tries, I finally landed on the Mun. I was quite proud of myself. So I bought the game, and I landed on Minmus, then Duna, then Laythe, and then I built a base on the Mun. And I'm pretty sure the same thing will happen to you Baconluver25! Good luck in the future, and hopefully no Kerbal lives are lost in the process!

Possible Planet Additions (Revised)
MrJPenguin1 replied to Samio's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
My only real problem with these planets is that they are way too big in comparison to KSP's planets. The radius of Jool, Kerbol's largest planet, is 6,000 km, while the planets here have rather high diameters. I know that to get the radius, you have to divide the diameter by two, but most of the planets, are huge relative to Kerbin and Eve. I know that you would fix them if they were added into the game, but it kinda bothered me. -
Possible Planet Additions (Revised)
MrJPenguin1 replied to Samio's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
These are absolutely amazing! I was saying the whole time: "DO WANT.". I would not mind at all if these were added to Kerbal Space Program. Nice job! I already play KSP a lot, but if these were added, think of all the possibilities! These all look amazing, especially Cite! I give props to you Samio! -
Well! I've been playing Kerbal Space Program for the past few days and I really like this game. So I decided: "It's time to stop procrastinating and make an account for the forum." And now here I am. Posting a post saying hello to all of you good people. Can't wait for 0.21 to come out!
