Is it really worth developing an alternate to kOS instead of contributing resources/ideas to the existing system that has an audience? Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking your work, but it does seem a shame to fragment what is probably already a fairly small userbase.

No one suggested we're entitled to anything. But considering we're in their beta program, it'd be *pleasant*, wouldn't it?

Perhaps you need to work on your diplomatic skills then, rather than suggest everyone jump ship with you.

OP, I agree. Naming, and fluff in general, usually takes up 50% of my KSP-playing time. I tend to do go through missions from start to end in my head nowadays, checking I have all the necessary bits and bobs, because this happens way to friggin much for me. A checkbox ingame... or a pen and paper on the desk... is massively useful.
