Judging by those stats the more technologically advanced Comms DTS-M1 is six times the weight and double the price of default Communotron 16. It also transmits data at a slower rate and a higher cost, while having only incrementally better impact and temperature tolerance parameters. It's just not worth using for anything other than aesthetics that way. Is that how it's supposed to be? Am I missing something? Are there some hidden stats? Will it get better further down the tech tree?

Don't like Career Mode
Teodzero replied to Boiler1's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
My problem with career mode is also tech-tree related. The order of unlocking parts there is almost entirely opposite of my usual ship progression. While I can understand the logic behind it (including tank sizes, yes), it feels uncomfortable as hell. I also feel forced into playing it, because science is disabled in sandbox for some weird reason. -
Is Jeb a satire on real life astronauts?
Teodzero replied to BrickedKeyboard's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I heard that Yuri Gagarin loved to say that he wasn't sure if he was first man in space, or the last dog.And his "Let's roll!" at the start is clearly something Jeb would say. -
Non-repetitive textures of planets
Teodzero replied to Kulebron's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Try rotating layers around too. However, there is a different solution, which also used on planets in other game: Planetary Annihilation uses sets of decals, randomly applied to the surface. It looks slightly repetitive, but lack of common grid makes it a lot more natural than everything else. Not sure, how it will work for a lot larger planets in KSP, through. -
Rover wheels keep braking...
Teodzero replied to Arcadiax's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Do you have SAS on? It can try ro rotate rover out of the plane it's standing on, applying way too much pressure on one wheel. -
Lets make KSP educational... :)
Teodzero replied to kiwi1960's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
KSP is already educational. Orbital physics and basic rocket science. There is no need to put those things in. And photos of space don't even teach anything. They just look fancy. -
This: I think that was kinda obvious...

Probes before Kerbonauts...
Teodzero replied to icemasterpt's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Brilliant. Jeb with a joystick in hands! Sputnik had four comm antennas, not three. -
About the Tech Tree
Teodzero replied to ddavis425's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
When he has to choose between gameplay and realism (common sense), good game designer always picks gameplay. That wat makes him a good game designer. -
Probes before Kerbonauts...
Teodzero replied to icemasterpt's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I don't know about yours, but my kerbals are focused on safety. And there are a lot of people who play this game with this goal in mind. Piling up the bodies before player can even do something basic is really bad way of introducing him to the game. There should be at least an option to have a probe on the first launch. Heck, Stayputnik is even modelled after fitst satellite. Why can't it be first here too? -
Please no. Building planes is actually harder than building rockets. Both in game and in real life. Forcing players to start with planes is unnecessary frustrating complexity.

"circular" build menus
Teodzero replied to 1of6Billion's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
There should be scroll bar instead of pages. -
They are more like goblins or gretchins. Small and technology-oriented.

If you Alt+Tab out of the game it won't pause itself. Is this what you need?

Looks more like Joker to me. - That's too many boosers! - Why. So. SERIOUS?

Led lights, omnidirectional lights
Teodzero replied to Rolf's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Yes, I always wanted those. They would make everything look better. -
I am sure, solar panels never had this node in the first place. (maybe that was a mod?) But they totally should have it, that would make things so much easier. I always thought that those panels should be on top of the probe.

I disagree with everything else in your post, but I have to agree with this. Some of the stock parts look good, but many of them don't. I feel that there should be another design overhaul, like in .18 to unify the style and fix some problems with collision boxes.

I've seen almost all the same arguments about inability to delete or replace the first "parent" part. In the end, none of them matter. "That's just how the logic works" - you can say that about every bug, that doesn't justify it. And form the gamplay standpoint it is a bug and it has to be fixed before you can call the game finished. And I think Squad can (and will) fix it... eventually. It just became more irritating with all these new parts that can't be used to their full potential. I hope this situation at least pushed it higher in priority list.
