  1. Granted. Once it arrives, you find nothing supports it. I wish I could get over this cold.
  2. This was actually last week. For the first time, I have figured out how to get a rover on the ground. I had built a lander that I am using for research and going back and forth from the Mun and Minmus. I have managed to get to Duna and back with it as well. When I leave the planet/moon, I dock with my fuel and go back home. Here is the "rover"... Just after dropping from the lander... <a href="http://smg.photobucket.com/user/kc5sdy/media/KSP%20Screenshots/screenshot4-1.png.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v51/kc5sdy/KSP%20Screenshots/screenshot4-1.png" border="0" alt=" photo screenshot4-1.png"/></a> The guys discussing what to do next... <a href="http://smg.photobucket.com/user/kc5sdy/media/KSP%20Screenshots/screenshot5-1.png.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v51/kc5sdy/KSP%20Screenshots/screenshot5-1.png" border="0" alt=" photo screenshot5-1.png"/></a>
  3. Played with 0.22 a bit. I like the career mode. Very interesting. Working on getting out as far as I can as quick as I can so I can rack up the science points. So far, I like.
  4. After a lot of fighting, yelling, frustration, installing, uninstalling, etc, etc.... I finally figured out the problem I have been having with KSP crashing on my computer. I cannot have more than a couple mods installed before I run out of memory. So.... Since my work laptop is newer, I copied over my saves. The only thing I ahve been trying to do is get a station and Kethane lander to Duna. I finally was able to do it. As before, I got there with just enough fuel to achieve orbit and the lander to land and start mining....
  5. Granted. Flags are no longer used. I wish for more imagination.
  6. Granted. As you are headed to your next destination, you decide to poke your head outside forgetting your Eva pack. I wish I didn't have to use my work laptop for ksp.
  7. I was trying to keep it in a grid format but, it just would not let me. I will look for your message.
  8. There were only a couple times I saw SAS turned on. That is why you were having such a hard time keeping it stable and straight once you were off the ground. Here is what I put together on the spreadsheet. Granted, I had to stop, hit F3 to get my current stats to plug in. I would wait until I burned 5-10 of fuel then check it. If it was looking like I might cut it close, I would check more often. If I was doing great and looked like I was going to have plenty of fuel, I would check it every 10-20 units burned. This is what I put together... It is not displaying the way I wanted it to but, here it is. I can email it to you if you like. Circumference 3,900,000.00 (Estimate of circumference of Kerbin) Current Fuel 343.00 (How much fuel do you have left right now?) Current Usage =B5-B2 (Formula subtracting current fuel from total fuel) Distance Traveled 3,902,917.00 (How far have you traveled so far?) Total Fuel 1,040.00 (Maximum fuel you started with) Expected Distance =(B4/B3)*B5 (How far are you expected to travel as of now) % Expected =B6/B1 (How far are you expected to travel in percent.) Difference =B6-B1 (Difference between expected distance and remaining distance) Percent Traveled =B4/B1 (How far have you traveled so far in percent?) Distance Per Fuel Unit =B4/B2 (Gas mileage) Remaining Distance =B1-B4 (How far do you have left to travel?) Expected Fuel Remaining =B2-(B10/B9) (How much fuel should have have left when you land?)
  9. Something I noticed that helps me out tremendously, hit 'T" to turn on SAS. That will help keep the plane stable. What I have done with July plane, get up to about 10-15K as quickly as possible without going straight up. Straighten up and let it gradually climb to between 20-24K. As your speed increases with the thinner atmosphere, gradually drop your throttle until you are just barely able to maintain your highest speed. For me, that put my throttle at around 10-20%. I did have a spreadsheet running on a laptop next to me that I would plug the numbers in to see how I was doing. From that I would make changes as needed.
  10. Thank you. I had originally designed that to be something I could fry around the world a few times when I had stumbled across the challenge. It was interesting putting that thing together. Some of the tanks do not connect even though they look like they do. My first run was finding out where to make corrections. Other than that, it flew just fine. It did not like to be low and slow. I didnt think that speck could have been anything other than Minmus. When I looked, I noticed that it was not the only body that would be in view there. It was an interesting challenge. I am not used to having a limit to my altitude when I fly around. It made it a little on the tough side. The spreadsheet I put together helped out. I was able to make a few adjustments as I was flying along to see how they changed things.
  11. It was early this morning... I completed the Kerbin Circumnavigation Challenge. After going through about 20 different designs that did not work for one reason or another, I finally put one together that did not need much tweaking. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/25884-Kerbin-Circumnavigation-Challenge-Reloaded-New-Rules-Once-More?p=665821&viewfull=1#post665821
  12. Here is my entry. I had a few tense moments. When the tension was not high, I even had a spreadsheet that I was using to monitor my fuel usage, expected distance, expected ending fuel, etc, etc. Here we are on the runway ready to go... Got to see a nice Mun rise while cruising along. I noticed this coming over the horizon too. Not sure if that was Minmus or Dres. Both looked like they were in about the same place. On Final... Touchdown!!!
  13. Jebediah was able to go see the Great Duna Face! After the long walk and spending almost all of the EVA fuel on the trip, it was well worth it.
  14. Jeb successfully landed on Duna! After spending just about all the fuel, and Kethane in the landing, mining was started. After filling up the tanks, Jeb started to think about checking out a nearby anomaly.
  15. I made it to Duna!!! Without Kethane, I would not have made it with this ship. I needed more Delta-V than what the ship carried. Thanks to converting Kethane into fuel during the burn, I had enough to make orbit with some to spare. Now to convert the rest, scan the surface and get to mining. Then to do the same with Ike.
  16. I do not play online games very often for this same reason. Of all the games I have played, FPS games are my favorite. Knowing that some little twerp that does nothing but play game 'X' 24/7 thinks they have the right to grind my teeth in the curb because I do not play like them, is the same as being bullied. I have a life. I have a job. I have a family to take care of. I am not a 5 year old with nothing better to do than have my X-Box be my parent. For the same reason, I do not post in forums as much. I have already been insulted in these forums becaused I overlooked something in another post and asked about it. I play my games at the difficulty level that is comfortable for me and where it remains enjoyable. It only effects me, not you. If that means having "God mode" on, so be it. I am out to have fun. KSP is no different. I play it at the difficulty I feel comfortable with. I use MJ, Kethane, Enginner, and FuelTastic. MJ helps out a lot and has taught me a lot. For what I have learned from MJ, I do it myself. Everything else, MJ does. No, it does not make me lazy. Kethane gives me a challenge. Yes, sending probes, sattelites, stations, and bases are one aspect. Kethane gives it an added layer to sending everything to all the planets and moons. Enginner gives me the data MJ does not and helps with giving me the numbers I need. FuelTastic is a God send for me. Yes, I know that you cannot convert energy into LOX. Without it, I would not be as far ahead as I am now and would still be trying to figure out how to get enough fuel into orbit to use later and that in itself has started to make me want to put the game down in frustration. Getting into orbit is a royal pain in the patooty for me. I rely on it when my numbers do not add up to what they should have. I use it as a fall back. Coming from someone that has the skill set to do my job, raise my family, and pay the bills, if I have to tweak a game a little bit to enjoy it, so be it. The ribbons I show in my signature are what I have obtained on the difficulty level I have assigned myself. To me, using developer window is cheating. Using mods are not. I know I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer. I admit it. You have no right to tell me how to play my games. I will be more than impressed knowing you have done all you have on your own with stock parts and no mod help what so ever. Good for you. That is my ultimate goal as well. In the meantime, I will explore my solar system the way I want to. If you want to flex yoru muscles and feel the need to insult me for it, that is where you have issues. I know it is easier to dish out insults to make yourself feel superiour than to be a better person by offering suggestions and being humble. I know, I kind of went on a tangent. that is my take on mods. There are some that are needed and some that just make life plain easier.
  17. Granted. It now smells like tacos. I wish I could think of a wish to wish for.
  18. Why did I not think of that? I was busy spending all the EVA fuel why not?
  19. Jebediah decided to take out the new Extra Large Kethane Lander for a spin around Mun. As he was working out the landing procedures, he looked out the window and found this... That looked like a good spot to land. After a trek of about a kilometer, we see this beauty... You know... It did not look that far away. A flag had to be set down... Can you see me down here? After having a little too much fun with the thruster pack, Jeb got a little too much speed built up and passed the lander up, after reenacting a slip and slide across the Muner surface for about 400 meters.
  20. This was actually the day before yesterday but... I sent a redesigned Kethane lander to Minmun. As I got there, good old Jeb could not contain himself, jumped out and landed to mark the spot for the lander. He then went back into orbit, met up with the lander and guided it in.
  21. Granted. You are stuck in the 5 second loop of you falling down the stairs. I wish KSP loaded quicker.
  22. Granted. You were just sent to prison for being too creative and hacking M$'s big servers. I wish for smarter kids.
  23. Granted. Spell-check kicked in and gave you a bad case of hemorrhoids. I wish for stronger trusses.
  24. Granted. You miss the label on the bottom that reads, "Made in China" I wish for KSP to quick crashing on my computer.
