    Not only his Dr Jones totally irrelevant in Raiders, get this, this statue should have either killed Dr. Jones by slowing him down as he fled or should have fallen into the pit as he TRIED to throw it to Satipo. Why? That statue weighed (if it was gold as we are supposed to believe) between 40 and 73 pounds. Gold is HEAVY! No way a then 39 year old 175 pound professor that did archaeology on the side is going to run or throw a statue that heavy let alone nearly PALM the bloody thing off a pedestal in THIS bad of a body position.
