Cool, i'll try this once my game loads. Edit: heres my entry: http://imgur.com/a/2jVXX Not sure how your scoring system equation works, but i got 39 kerbals to 10km in 41 seconds I thinks it's: 800 points for the 39 kerbals, + i don't know how to check my score. Could you make the scoring system easier to understand please?

Help with sending an an armada
Mr.Rocket replied to Mr.Rocket's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Thanks guys. Il'll mark this one as answered. I think I'll send the manned one on the fastest path since i don't need a scout rover, it's already there. Although i don't plan on aerobraking with Duna's atmosphere, i only do that at jool and i have enough delta-v. Happy New Year -
So, I am currently in the process of building a Duna base/ space station. The problem is, Duna windows don't come that often, about once every 180 days, so i'm trying to send more than one ship at a time. In fact this time, i am sending four. I have some questions on how to do this. 1. Does it matter what order i "send" the ships in? biggest to smallest, vice versa, manned first then unmanned, most thrust? 2. How do i know which one will arrive first? 3. How do i send an armada in general, i want to do the Duna burn for one, then move on to the next? 4. Any other tips? I am hoping some people who have sent multiple ships could help me out, or who have done this before. I have the Kerbal Alarm Clock Mod to make sure i have the right transfer window. Thanks for your help in advance

Alternatives for atomic interplanetary travel?
Mr.Rocket replied to AletzN1's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I use the aerospikes. Good ISP in and out of atmosphere. Plus, they look really cool when on full throttle. -

Question, How to use image tags?
Mr.Rocket replied to Mr.Rocket's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Okay, Let me try, Edit: okay, thanks guys, i got it -
So, after a while i figured out how to take and post screen shots. But they are only links, for example(just sharing this picture because i love the photobomb, i didn't notice it until after i took the picture) :http://imgur.com/Bkr20Cg I have heard people use image tags to post pictures without a link. I use imgur. How would i write out an image tag, for example, for this picture? Any help is appreciated, i couldn't find a clear example of how to write one.

Kerbal Civ: Your opinion on interacting with the Kerbal Civilization
Mr.Rocket replied to JordanL's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I just wish the Kerbals got more appreciation. They could get experience from missions, and you could see all the past missions they have been on. Also, if you could give them positions in your space program, that would be cool -
Space kraken thread: Post your kraken encounters here!
Mr.Rocket replied to InterCity's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I don't think i took any pictures but, anyone else gotten this kraken attack? I'm pretty sure i've heard it refered to as the H*** Kraken. You go on EVA, the game freezes for a second, the the screen goes black except for all the instruments, and the altimeter slowly turns until it reaches 666666, very creepy. It's happened twice. I start up the game again and it's all fine. -
Thats because a kerbal in a command chair is counted as an EVA. What i do is launch the rover unmanned with no control, then go to the spaceplane hanger and make a manned rover there, drive over to the no control rover and board it.

Decent Renevous Tutorial? No Official Manual?
Mr.Rocket replied to GungaDin's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I'm pretty sure ascending and descending nodes are only the right place to change your inclination relative to the target. That just seems what it does for me. Not sure about that here. For rendezvous, once the craft have the same orbital inclination, i only use the prograde and retrogade markers depending if i'm in front or behind the craft in orbit. Those are the green markers in the manuver node. -
Well, i had a Minmus base called Camp Kerman, destroyed in a file delete: http://imgur.com/a/Nsvi5l, and now im working on a Duna base, not yet completed. I had to drive 150 kilometers across Dunan hills to find a usably flat area for a base. It has an orbiting space station too! Called Olympus base just because: http://imgur.com/a/0whL3 (forgot to have any good photoshoots at the station.) Edit: the first album doesn't seem to be working, i'll try again: http://imgur.com/a/Nsvi5

How Valuable Are Colonies? Without Kethane.
Mr.Rocket replied to ThatKerbal's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
It's mostly for fun, but that doesn't mean they're completly useless. They can have the same use as a space station. You can use it for science. If you send extra fuel there, you can refuel any future landers. You can make it a place to visit any time you visit the mun so you have a place you know is safe to land. You can use it for some of the challenges that are on the forums. All in all, they're mostly for fun, you can do it as a challenge to yourself,( i am acutally in the process of building a Duna base+ space station), you can practice precision landing, ect. Hint: if you use the KAS mod, you can transfer fuels and kerbals and base components without docking them. -
Did you remember RCS fuel and ports? Those are pretty much assencial to dock, more than ASAS. From there you can use ijkl for up down left right, and h n for forward backward movements. The RCS will keep the ship headed in the same direction as long as both it and ASAS is activated. Also, if they're close to eachother, thier headings shouldn't be changing. Make sure you set the navball to target mode. Hope this helps?

Well, you're picture didn't work, but you said you are coming back from mun. If it has a kerbal in it, i think you said it did, you could get out and push with jetpack fuel, so you can refuel infinatly with the command pod. As long as you get your apoasis below 60 ish kilometers it will take a few orbits, but eventuall, your orbit will lower and Bill will come back.

Just thought this fits here. Found it on steam: http://www.pcgamer.com/2013/12/27/kerbal-space-program-devs-hope-to-add-budgets-reputation-in-2014/?ns_campaign=article-feed&ns_mchannel=ref&ns_source=steam&ns_linkname=0&ns_fee=0

But Laythe has an oxygen atmosphere, or whatever kerbals breate. Io has a mostly sulfur atmosphere. That's a bit of a difference. If Laythe were like Io, it wouldn't be habitable, and jet engines wouldn't work well.
