  1. I have an idea. Maybe you could make a rover/plane/boat. It could have to rove/drive to the end of the runway as a rover. Then boat? float? swim? to the island runway as a boat. Then rove up the mountain to the runway, and fly back to the KSC runway as a plane. Seems like it would be an interesting vehicle.
  2. Thanks The Tylo landing actually went very smoothly, better than expected, only two quicksave reverts, one because i accidently staged twice, and two because i landed at the wrong angle and broke an engine. Plus, it goes quickly when you're falling at 2 kilometers per second Not sure if i will use the other refuelers though, they got into highly inclined orbits and that take alot to fix
  3. Progress Report: Refueling mission sent, first re-fueler has reached the Taurus, not sure if the others will be able to, but that's exactly why i sent three Jeb landed on Tylo, and made it back to the Taurus: Only refueler A has made it so far, not sure if i need the others. Fuelers D, and E did not even go to Jool, but are in Kerbin Orbit. This is not part of the submission yet, i will post the mission in full when i finish
  4. I tested out a new mod and built a jet!
  5. Ziv, i believe that mod is VOID. It's just another information mod, i'm using it too. Either it's that or mechjeb, not sure because i don't have mechjeb
  6. Dun, Dun, Dun. THE KRAKEN HAS STRIKEN! MAN THE HARPOONS! Thats actually really unfortunate, that was a really cool modular lander.
  7. The kerbal scientists reaction in the first picture is one of the funniest faces. I mean, just look at him, he's like, oh my Kod, a lander!
  8. Okay, thanks,I will send re-fuelers, more than one The Tylo landing shall proceed while the fuel is on its way to Jool. Hopefully the retrogade orbit won't make the lander need more Delta-v !
  9. Well, theres a mod KAS so you don't have to dock base modules: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/53134-Kerbal-Attachment-System-%28KAS%29-0-4-5-Struts-pipes-part-containers-and-more-%280-23%29 And, if you prefer to play stock, Temstar has a nice tutorial on it here: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/48876-The-art-of-modular-base-building For space stations, i couldn't find anything specific, but you could probably find something helpful here: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/search.php?searchid=1801679
  10. Another progress report, the Taurus has made it to Jool, and achieved retrograde equatorial orbit around Tylo, needs refueling though for both fuel and mono-propellant. Am i able to send more than one fueling tanker at the same time so its not a huge ship? I will post the whole mission in Fan Works when I finish! I think i'm going to land the Tylo lander, as it is full of 7,000 fuel, then while it is on the surface, refuel the Taurus (that's the name of my ship), bring the lander back up to orbit and dock it. That way I don't get too much lag from having alot of ships docked I honestly have no idea how the landers on the side did not break off during reentry, although i did have to stay in 1x warp or else it shook! My crew of 5 has been smiling literally the whole time and it's starting to freak me out, even Bob was smiling during reentry! Although it doesn't look like it, this is stock except for the KAS struts and obviously Kerbpaint (and info mods!) Pictures:
  11. It's looks very cool and tiny, and looks like a flying car I'm downloading this, i already have both mods. How do you download it though, the link gives me a bunch of coding words?
  12. ...When you try to save your Word documents with f5 and then your computer flips and a window pops up.
  13. I'm going to take a wild guess that this is for the Jool-5 challenge Look at post #300 on this page: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/57197-The-ultimate-Jool-5-challenge-land-Kerbals-on-all-moons-and-return-in-one-big-misson/page30. Try building on the side of your ship like a shell so it doesn't end up like a tower, but more like a pancake. That payload was 311 tons! and for your album take away the http://imgur.com/a/ and you don't need the #0 It should just be [ imgur ] R1pjG [ /imgur ] and then take out the spaces
  14. It looks like the rover is veering a little to the left. Once you get the rover perfectly centered under it, try putting on all the brakes, and then open and close the landing legs on the base part over and over until it docks. If it doesn't dock try just lifting the landing legs, and having the rover drive a bit with the base balancing on top, and maybe it will click. Turn of SAS for sure. Make sure you put the docking ports on the right way......
  15. I'm thinking either mechjeb: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/12384 or Kerbal Alarm clock:http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/24786-0-23-Kerbal-Alarm-Clock-v2-7-0-0-%28December-20%29 Not really sure if they will do exactly what you want. Mechjeb is pretty much autopilot, and kerbal alarm clock allows you to set alarms. Hope i found what you needed
  16. So i got the Vanguard Plugin, but which file to install for the lights? you have a bunch that say "for testing". Is it the zip one at the bottom? Or is it the CFG?
  17. Progress report: Ship (the Taurus) is finished, but will most likely need a refueling at Jool, because of the weight of the Tylo lander. Planning on landing on Tylo first, then Vall, Bop, Pol, and Laythe, in that order.
  18. Would this work for Tylo? I added another stage. Also, i still need/want your opinions on the other landers, i am not completely comfortable with the jool system. I don't want to test the lander on Tylo, not because it will ruin the fun (i've done a flyby of it before) but because i have a self made rule never to use infinite fuel to land anywhere I haven't landed on without. Here is the lander:
  19. Oh okay thanks, my map said only 2270 for takeoff landing each, so you probably just saved my mission there . (are the other landers good?)
  20. With the second ship docked and colored (the return ship), i'm ready to attach the landers. Problem is, i've never been to Laythe, Tylo, Vall, or Bop. Would these be sufficient landers? Proper questions in the picutures Would this be good for from Tylo orbit, landing on Vall, coming back to Tylo orbit, refueling, landing on Bop, going back to Tylo orbit, refueling, and landing on Pol, returning to Tylo orbit? (refueling done at mothership) would this be good from low laythe orbit, landing, and returning to laythe orbit? Would this be good for landing on Tylo from low Tylo orbit, and coming back up to orbit and docking? (Sorry for the huge pictures, for some reason imgur wouldn't accept my album today, so they had to be separate ) Yes, i will fix the rcs thrusters later
  21. Like that? It would make sense Oh, and if anyone could give me a reliable lifter to put 200t onto orbit, I'd appreciate! I am struggling with structural integrity... I don't think i could give you mine, as it has mods and is custom for the ship, but i have ideas for you. You have the perfect four fuel tanks right smack dab in the middle of you ship. build the launcher around it like a pancake. As long as you don't have FAR, it should work well. This is what i mean:
