I'm not sure how many traceurs are in this community, as this is a science game, but I'm hoping someone else here is. For those who don't know, a traceur is one who practices Parkour or Freerunning. Parkour is moving through a complex environment as fast an efficient as possible. Freerunning is a type of parkour that is more expressive, usually including acrobatic movements not found in parkour because of the lack of efficiency. The terminology usually isn't that important however, as usually a traceur isn't concerned about what he/she is doing being called the wrong name. It started as military training, to help soldiers be able to traverse difficult environments full of obstacles, but quickly people learned how much fun it can be, and the advantages a practitioner of parkour has in extreme situations. I am an intermediate traceur, I do both parkour and freerunning, depending on the environment. Sometimes it's better to just get somewhere crazy, sometimes its better to do a flip over something, ect. It's all good fun. Are there any other traceurs out there? If so, drop a video of yourself! Even if you don't think you're that good, people always have to start somewhere. It's more about having fun and being fit anyways. Here is a very dated video of myself (and a friend) when I first started. Some of the clips in this video were from the first week I really started. I have since much improved, and hopefully will have a new video soon.

Goodbye! See you around, female motorcycle cops! The joke is that "hit the road" is an idiom for "leaves, or goes away" -

Guys I'm really sorry. Thing have been...interesting lately. I've been scrambling to figure out how to get my SAT score to colleges before November 1st, since I'm taking the test next weekend. Among other things, I have been busy lately. If someone wants to PM me 8 hours from now to remind me, I can run the program then, but not after 7pm EST. -

Yeah, it is. But that doesn't mean people read it, unfortunately. Nothing wrong with spreading the rule to make it easier to see. -

Geez. Why always me? I go to a small school. We don't have honors classes. And we don't have AP Physics. We only have Physics I. I plan on taking college physics next year, and I figured having a high school physics class would help. It's never wrong to want to be accurate. -

Needs to be in the thread title. Or at least in the OP -
I have a few good ones to share, but I won't be able to upload them for a few days.

We all know you aren't spam, but this seems so so so much like spam. Please make the post more human so it's not misread.

If you really think it's worthy, PM a mod. (Preferably a mod that oversees the subforum the thread is in) They'll discuss it with their team and make a decision. Not a mod, just know from experience.

I could understand if that was the case. I would gladly use 10 if we didn't have calculators. But we're allowed to use calculators, so I don't see the benefit of using a different number. -

Yes, but we have calculators. And she literally just said "gravity is 10 m/s^2" that's a little too general, it misled most of the class. -

I have so many problems in my high school physics class. We are instructed to use 10 m/s^2 for gravity. 10. When it is 9.81. To make things easier. It's not that much different to type in 9.81 instead of 10 into a calculator. And don't get me started on the generalizations. And my teacher never specified that gravity wasn't 9.81 m/s^2 on other bodies besides earth. The class thought ALL GRAVITY was 10 m/2^2, until I pointed it out. Ugh, high school physics is frustrating. -

Wait, I should clarify, I put new in the wrong place. Descriptions for the new members from the last update. Not new for everyone on the list. Sorry for the slip. If you wish to have your description changed/updated, please PM me. -
I wont be around for awhile I have some sad news ...
Endersmens replied to Cdr_Zeta's topic in The Lounge
You have my condolences. I know a similar situation to yours, my mother has a list of health problems that would take you a few minutes to read all the way through. It includes Multiple Sclerosis (the hardest on her), epilepsy, breast cancer (recovered), one brain tumor that was removed, hydrocephalus (fixed with a shunt), and now more problems with her brain, pending further tests. This was the shortened list, she has numerous other smaller health problems that contribute to a very hard way to live for her. And since this started in 2006, when I was only 8, its been hard for me too. I wish other people didn't have to feel the way I do, and it really does hit me hard to read how you're experiencing a similar situation. Best of wishes, and I will keep you in my thoughts are prayers. -

Before They Were Orange [UPDATE: CHAPTER FOUR: Starting Uphill]
Endersmens replied to Endersmens's topic in KSP Fan Works
Chapter Three: Rocky Path “I told you guys this was a bad idea.” Bob said, looking down at the ground. “C’mon Bob. Admit it, the rocket launch was cool.” Jeb said, giving Bob a smile. Bob was trying hard to keep himself from smiling back, and eventually gave up. “Yeah. It was pretty cool. Scary, dangerous, and possibly insane. But it was cool.” Bob said, as the others chuckled. A knock was heard at the door. “You may come in” Wernher said. Dunly appeared again. “I have a mister Edlie Kerman here.” Dunly said, looking behind him. “Ah yes, mister Edlie Kerman. you are zis one’s father, correct?” He said, motioning towards Jeb. “Yes, that one’s mine. What did he do this time?” “He snuck into ze space center, vith his friends.” Giving a concerned look, Edlie turned towards Jeb with the you’re in trouble look. “But do not worry, I am not upset at them. If anything I am glad they came, they seem to have a real interest in vhat ve are vorking on here.” “Oh?” “That’s why we came down here. I saw a rocket launch yesterday and-” Jeb said, before getting cut off by a nudge from Edlie. “Please, let zhem speak.” Wernher said, trying to hide his embarrassment at the rocket launch on the previous day. Edlie nodded at Jeb. “I saw a rocket launch yesterday. Well. Almost launch. It was really cool, and I found this place. And I told my friends and we all decided...well, all of us except for Bob, that we needed to come find out what’s going on here.” “So, you saw something cool and couldn’t help your curiosity. I see. Are they in any sort of trouble?” Edlie questioned. “Well, zhey snuck into our space center, impersonated staff, and stayed outside during launch. Zhey should be going to jail. However, I’ve found a fondness of them, I zhink with some teaching, zhey will learn a lot about what we’re doing here, and maybe someday, zhey can be ze reason zhis program works.” “I don’t know about that, I’m only Jeb and Val’s father, I can’t speak for Bill and Bob’s parents. I’ll talk it over with them and my wife.” “Zhank you, zhank you very much. I hope to see you guys again.” “Thank you mister...um…” “Vernher, Vernher Von Kerman.” “Thank you mister Vernher!” the kids said smiling, unaware of the W in Wernher’s name. Edlie loaded the four up into his car and started for town. “I hope your parents don’t get too upset this time, Bob.” Edlie said. “Tell me about it…” Bob said under his breath. Then Jeb gave him a pat on the shoulder. “I’m glad you came Bob. That’s the coolest thing I’ve seen you do in a long time. You didn’t even freak out very much!” Jeb said smiling. “Yeah, I guess. Hey, you’re right! I didn’t freak out.” Bob said, smiling back. “Well, either way, we’re here. See you around, Bob.” Edlie said. Sorry for the long delay between chapters, and sorry for the short chapter, had to do a bunch of dialogue to build up for the future. -

Yes, so much yes. I've had to argue that point for so long. Glad my theory was mostly correct.
