Say Hello to The Rep Grand Group! [07/19/16 UPDATE!]
Endersmens replied to Endersmens's topic in Kerbal Network
Ok, not as bad as I thought actually. Currently about 408 users with over 1,000 rep. Still seems somewhat doable without descriptions. However I do feel that we should celebrate new milestones that hadn't even been touched when we were last here....5k, 10k, 20k, even 30k rep has been attained (ouch for us lowly 1000 rep people) and that deserves something. The legendary Kerbal users of Jeb Bill Bob and Val aren't safe anymore, one user is almost halfway to their reputation number. It could happen in our lifetime- 929 replies

Say Hello to The Rep Grand Group! [07/19/16 UPDATE!]
Endersmens replied to Endersmens's topic in Kerbal Network
Wow wow wow....how time flies. As I'm sure @BagelRabbit can attest, it really gets away from you. What started as a nice gesture from Bagel to recognize those who got the elusive "light green bar" next to their name (vBulletin 4.0 users never forget) turned into a much larger project. Obviously, I've fallen off the face of the earth in terms of this forum, and thus the OP for this hasn't been updated in literal years, almost half a decade. I believe there's around 120 names on the OP currently, while I'm sure we're in the many thousands of users with over 1000 rep. This puts me into a difficult situation all around. Do I increase the required amount to join the club? No I don't think so, seems unfair especially since people have had 5 years to think about getting to that magical number and joining this group. I'd hate for @AtomicTech to get so close just for the requirements to change. Do I update the group to include however many thousand users would now be included? This will be difficult as I have long since lost the program that was built for me to do this task. I also am not sure if the person that built that for me, @magico13 is still around. I've sent a message just to see if it would be possible but to be honest it would be unfair of me to expect them to work on it again after all this time. I may be able to find another solution for this. If I were to update the list with everyone, there's absolutely NO way I would be able to add descriptions to everyone's name. That would be an impossible task. And even if everyone were to send me a PM or a reply to this thread with what they want their description to read, it would be a tall ask for me to update that many even if they're given to me. I'm still unsure what to do about this. Feel free to give your thoughts below, and it's good to see you all again! It's only been 5 years- 929 replies

The Name Change Thread (WARNING! ONE TIME ONLY!)

I honestly cannot believe that: A. this thread is still kicking B. YOU are still kicking, changing names. Time flies. -
The Name Change Thread (WARNING! ONE TIME ONLY!)
Endersmens replied to Souper's topic in Kerbal Network
Aww. Makes me sad, my only sticky isn't mine anymore lol. Oh well, I'm guessing it got merged with Souper's request to have his name changed. Even though there were a lot of one off threads asking for names changes before I made mine, the point was to consolidate them lol, which it seems to have done. -
The Name Change Thread (WARNING! ONE TIME ONLY!)

I came back from the grave to ask...why are there 3 posts in front of my original OP for this thread? It's really confusing lol -
Say Hello to The Rep Grand Group! [07/19/16 UPDATE!]
Endersmens replied to Endersmens's topic in Kerbal Network
Thank you for posting that here, since I haven't been around to spread it. And another update: the above hasn't changed, but now I've also severely sprained my ankle and will be wheelchair/crutch bound for the next 6 weeks as well. Might even need surgery. Medical bills are the last thing we need right now.- 929 replies

Have an update on my life:
Both of my parents are currently unemployed, as am I.
Both of my parents do not have a house or residence, and neither do I or my siblings. My dad is again struggling with his Bipolar disorder.
I'm trying desperately to catch up in my online college courses, which is hard cause we're staying with my grandma who has no internet, so I have to go to my Aunt's house to use her internet to do school on my desktop. It's not going well.
You could say I'm being stretched a little thin here. Which isn't good considering I can already barely hold on 130lbs as an almost 19 year old guy.I do sincerely apologize that my absence from this forums means there's been no updates to this thread, the Rep Grand Group, or my fan fiction either. This is my first post since last year, as it's pretty much the first time I've been here. I cannot say that I'll be on here again soon.
With the sincerest of apologies, I bid you all farewell until the next time I'm on here. Congratulations to those of you who became eagles since my last visit, and to those still working towards it I encourage you to stay with it. It will be worth it.See you guys around. *poof*

Well I haven't decided if the torch passing is actually happening yet lol. If I can get python working correctly, and schedule a time to update, I may be able to hold on. It's the descriptions that are holding things up really.- 929 replies

Say Hello to The Rep Grand Group! [07/19/16 UPDATE!]
Endersmens replied to Endersmens's topic in Kerbal Network
So guys, my new computer is posing problems. I'm using the drive from my old laptop as a secondary drive which causes all kinds of problems. I have some programs figured out but some I can't seem to get working. Python is one of those, which is what the program is based in. As soon as I can figure out this mess and get python working the list will be insta-updated.- 929 replies

Say Hello to The Rep Grand Group! [07/19/16 UPDATE!]
Endersmens replied to Endersmens's topic in Kerbal Network
Yes, I add the descriptions. Some of them are left over from way back when @UpsilonAerospace handled this thread, but I would say about half of them are my responsibility. In fact, let me describe how a typical description comes about. First, I have to find the member on the forums and go to their profile. If I know the member well, I can usually skip this step, but most of the time I have to. I like the description to include either a trait of the user or an accomplishment. Which means I typically go to where i can see all topics started by the user, and look for popular ones. Mods, Craft, Stories, anything that took work and people enjoyed. I select one to recognize and then create a link to it, and attempt to make a nice little description including the accomplishment. Rinse and repeat for every new member.- 929 replies

Say Hello to The Rep Grand Group! [07/19/16 UPDATE!]
Endersmens replied to Endersmens's topic in Kerbal Network
I do have news, and thanks @ZooNamedGames for bringing it up, because I haven't been on here lately. My mom went through surgery alright a few weeks ago, and has been recovering at home. She may have an infection though, so doctor visits are still frequent. Shivers at the thought of the bills. I should be able to update this some time this weekend if nothing comes up. Also congrats to those who joined!- 929 replies

To add to my last post, I was worried about temps on my new PC, but after downloading and running AIDA64 on my laptop...my i7-740qm runs at 85C at max, about 65C idle. GT330m runs at 60C idle. lol

Wow. I'm pretty excited about the results from Cinebench on this new computer, even without the GPU! So, here are the cinebench results from the old laptop (i7 740qm, gt 330m, 4GB ddr3RAM) (Cinebench r15): CPU (multicore): 287 CPU (single core): 66 OpenGL: 17.17fps And here are the results from the new computer, using the onboard graphics cause I don't have a GPU yet (i5 6500, 16GB DDR4): CPU (multicore): 543 (1.9x faster) CPU (Single core): 151 (2.3x faster) OpenGL: 40.30 fps (2.35x faster) The OpenGL test surprised me the most, since I don't even have a GPU and it scored better than the laptop. (Although I'm not sure Cinebench actually used the 330m. Most programs ignore it and run on CPU alone)

Which affects about....2 games. Also, 1060 outperforms 480 is most tests (besides hitman, again, 1 or 2 games ) Plus I like NVIDIA drivers and CUDA for blender.

I was just making sure I wasn't missing something important. Wasn't criticizing your earlier advice, it made sense to me too before I read any of the reviews.
