  1. It's completely fair. They don't have the time to devote to writing the kind of software that is involved in keeping a patcher up to date. There are security concerns, hardware concerns, software concerns and fiscal concerns.
  2. THEY'RE HOLDING OFF UNTIL THE FIRST OF APRIL SO THAT THEY CAN SAY THEY'RE READY FOR THE LAUNCH AND THEN TELL US THEY'VE PRANKED US FOR THE FOOLS WE WILL BE WHEN WE BELIEVE THEM
  3. NO IT CAN'T AND IT'S CONTAGIOUS. HOPEFULLY YOU DON'T CATCH PERMACAPSLOCKHYPE FROM ME.
  4. You wanna fix that before the update. Or you'll have problems in your game.
  5. Judging by the fact there are 1.1 vids on youtube, I think that's the case. The open beta will come Soon™ afterwards.
  6. So we can know when the open beta starts and when the open beta is over without having the thread be consumed, so we only get notified about actual changes in status.
  7. I really wish they'd set up and lock a thread that we can subscribe to for the beta and a seperate one for the release. Sadface.
  8. I have no idea what 0.1x I joined at. But I was an instant fan. I've been having serious health problems. Kerbal has helped keep me sane. And I can't say "thanks" enough. It is also one of only two games I have bought in alpha that I continued to recommend through its release and have not regretted.
  9. Probably never. RAM requirements generally tend to climb, not sink.
  10. Many thanks. At least four. I think that information is worth four thanks, but if I've short changed you let me know and I'll add a sufficient number of thanks.
  11. So is the opt-in beta just going to be a Steam normal beta or are we going to need closed beta codes?
  12. In the VAB, in OSX, Shift Scrolling does nothing, per the title. Are you, perhaps, using Windows or Linux? Because this is a known bug. I am using Yosemite, but it's been a thing since at least the previous version of OS X I have reported the issue and explained why the workarounds are inadequate justification for their inaction on the matter. Neither of which are bashing squad. Not even the tone is bashing squad.
  13. I understand that the + and - on the numpad can be used and the hold-scroll wheel and drag can be used. They're (very bad*) work arounds for a problem that you have elected not to fix because of the very bad work arounds. * they require moving to areas of the keyboard just not used or to very very slowly and repeatedly perform a click and drag that is not natural.
  14. In abstract, staging queues should be a <queue> of <stages>. Adding a sub assembly should add to the end of the <queue> all of the <stages> sequentially What occurs is a strange blending of <stages> so you end up with a <queue> of <stages> that you have to try and work out. Honestly, I really like the idea of subassemblies but every single time I implement them, I have half an hour of figuring out the staging again because the automation has completely fubarred them.
  15. This doesn't cause a crash. There are no crash logs, there is no output_log even though I follow the instructions for manually creating one.
  16. I quite frequently lose the ability to add maneuver nodes, saving and loading sometimes addresses it, returning to the space center and choosing the ship will sometimes address it, quitting the game and loading it sometimes addresses it. Sometimes I have to do all of them more than once. I quite frequently lose the ability to right-click on items in the space centre to bring up their general info and upgrade button. Neither of these would be all that annoying except for their frequency. I am playing a vanilla game. No mods installed.
  17. So I have an ion powered minmus lander. It's got twelve radial xenon tanks (which is probably eight too many, but I like to have fuel to spare in case I want to do multiple missions). Refuelling these one at a time can be quite frustrating. Because it's right click, alt-right click, out, wait, 12 times. Is there a means, mod or otherwise, to refuel ships en masse?
  18. At present, parts are only grouped in staging via whether they were symmetrically added. You can break that grouping, by clicking and dragging, but there's no way to unbreak that grouping and there's no way to add more parts to a group. Please add a feature to allow us group parts together. Instead of having four pairs of Sepratrons, I should be able to have one instance of 8 which I can click or drag around. This would reduce the size of my staging leg for each by three parts. Staging is such a pain in the arse, what with adding a subassembly almost always messing up everything, this one addition would make it eminently less frustrating
  19. Dodgey, I set up multiple save points for various things done. So that I can go back and try different things with various states. As such, I rely extensively on the named save points.
  20. The amount of times I've accidentally hit Alt-F4 because my finger slipped. From a UX perspective, the difference between a typo in intention should not be "you get exactly what you want or you get catastrophic failure". Please, for the love of kerbin, change the quick save short cut to Ctrl-S
  21. Tried a couple of times to get a <test part x> mission working. Got all of the criteria green, but the context menu did not offer me the "test part" menu item. Has something changed?
