  1. Okay, thanks for that. Looks like I wasn't clear enough about my main problem. When I try to fly with this craft, it acts like not only the nuclear engines are burning, but also the upper two engines. Of course, the upper two engines aren't fired up, but somehow the craft acts like they are. Any ideas about that?
  2. Thanks for the fast reply! But no, thats not the problem, I tested it right now, and proper staging makes no difference.
  3. Hello guys! Since several days I have a problem with some strange CoT issue which stops me from building my first mun base. Here is a screenshot: Link As you can see, the section with the nuclear engines is seperated from the upper part. But the CoT ignores this, and combines the nuclear engines with the two in the upper section. Flight behavior is as expected with this CoT, completely unflyable. May be relevant: I created the upper part in the SPH, and transferred it to the VAB(Yes, I did change the "type=VAB"). I then proceeded to add the nuclear engine section. Is this a known bug? Is there a workaround?
  4. Yep, at the moment I'm flying with sailplanes, because I'm not old enough for engine aircraft's. But yes, in Switzerland there are a lot of Piper Cubs, and of course Cessna's (The bicycle of the skies ) Thanks for all the answers guys, I will try the IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946. I also found out about IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover. It has a nice modding community, which keeps the game alive.
  5. Hey guys! I'm searching for good WW2 Flight Sims. And I mean Simulators, not those arcade games, like "World of Warplanes" Of course I am willing to pay for a good simulator. I'm thinking of things like: Realistic plane-handling Dog-fighting Real planes, like the Spitfire or ME109 I also fly in real life, and always wanted a game that takes me back to the "Real flying", where not everything is controlled by a computer.
  6. I don't think this is the one you mean but anyway: Star Wars Battlefront 2 It's a great game! Fits your information quite well. Steamlink
  7. To slow, need MOAR BOOSTERS! ~ Jeb
  8. The new Devnote's are here! Take a look at it: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/65242-Devnote-Tuesdays-The-Happy-New-Year-Edition?p=895272#post895272 Until now, no information of what's coming up with 0.24. But they really deserved a break! They did a great job last year!
  9. That's why it's GTA and not KSP I think that nobody is complaining about this, it's fun to play with bugs such as this one.
  10. I would be interested in that too! How can I calculate the dV for return, with this map?
  11. The map is from the official wiki, so I'm pretty sure it's right.
  12. Welcome to the forums! Here is a good map: As you can see, from "Kerbin" to "Low Kerbin Orbit" there is the number 4550. Well ,that's it
  13. Pilot! When I'm flying with my dad (Piper Cub, mostly) there is just some sort of feeling. It's really hard to describe, but i feel home when I'm in the air. So, pilot would be the perfect job for me. I just hope my eyes won't get worse, because I already have glasses and my correction is getting near the limit for commercial pilots. But I think I surely will find a flying-related job
  14. Did not thought about that. Thanks, at least it's better than waiting on the runway.
  15. Thanks for the help! I should have written it: I already used Kerbal Alarm Clock, because otherwise, i could not see the current date while "in flight" (sitting on the runway ) I just wondered if there is any "nicer" method.
  16. Heyho! So my question: Is there any way to skip to a specific time? I wanted to launch a small satellite to eve (my first journey to eve). But the launch window for an eve intercept was about 300 days away. The only way to switch to the launch window was to put a plane onto the runway and then time accelerate. I know, I should do several missions at a time, but I like to focus on only one mission. Is there a mod for this, or even a vanilla method? Regards Floule
  17. MOAR PICS! No, really, we need a space shuttle pictures thread! The space shuttle looks so awesome, and i still can't believe that humans can manage to bring such a monster safely back to earth! This one is my favorite: wow, much space, such resolution (My desktop background )
  18. Looks cool, don't stop! Well, sometimes, starting all over again isn't to bad at all. Like you said in you last post, you found a way to make the rockets look better. And because you did everything before, you now know the problems and can find different and maybe better ways to solve it. Have fun programming, and as said, don't stop this project, it looks like a simple but really fun game. (maybe not as simple as it looks )
  19. For me, it's fun because you must think about how you will make your rocket. Then you build it, test it and go for it. And then, after repeating these steps maybe 10 times or maybe not at all, the enjoyment when the mission is successful. And you can do whatever you want. You won't have a big marker that says "do this and go there". It's about experience! And of course, the brilliant community. Otherwise i wouldn't write this right now.
  20. Phew, nice to see that my rover on mun isn't doomed with one solar panel working from a total of six Also, great work with the science @Skyhawk
  21. I would recommend Windows 7 and 64-Bit! Only two things: Older games won't work. For example I wanted to play Rayman2 and it didn't work. Not even on a virtual windows 98 And the Administrator system. When I switched from XP to 7, I was a bit annoyed by the admin-stuff. Not being able to edit some registry entries, even with full admin permissions . But I think most of this issues are solved now. Now, after some years with windows 7, i really love it. A really stable and useful OS!
  22. Heyho! Today i found a great video! It shows how mars developed in the last billions of years. At the beginning, the mars looks a bit like earth. But as time passes by the oceans disappear and it becomes the red look like today. I hope you enjoy!
  23. When you can walk away from, then I call it a landing
