  1. That'd be creepy at night, but yeah its another form of the kraken. I believe its called the 666 Kraken as well.
  2. On more than one occasion, I've had ships that would not stop wanting to spin. Always thought it was a clipping issue but now I believe it to be caused by attitude trimming. I'd physical time accelerate to rotate large ships quickly and accidentally still be holding alt for a second when maneuvering, thus setting a barely noticeable trim adjustment. Once I jettisoned the larger portions of the ship, that barely noticeable trim would get amplified by the lesser mass of the ship. Too many headaches over that lol
  3. I can't help you, but thanks for the link to those maps. I haven't seen them before.
  4. Aerobraking on Duna is the best! Screaming across the surface just a few km up while on fire is awesome
  5. What kind of Z? I had a 1990 TT 300zx and it was by far, the most fun to drive vehicle that I've ever driven. It was unfortunately crushed under the trailer of a semi-truck when he swerved into my lane to avoid a stopped car up ahead On topic though, this seems to have happened to everyone at some point. If changing your gear placement doesn't work, try throttling up slower instead of full power from the start. Pitching the plane up constantly can help as well. If you have any serious interest in building and flying planes, look into getting FAR. Aerodynamics actually apply with it, and it smooths your controls out if you're using a keyboard.
  6. I might have to try this sometime. I use my 60" tv as my monitor and only sit about 4 feet away lol. So I have KSP set to the 14xx by 900 resolution right now and that gives me about a 40" window I think. Full screen landscape would be too much, but portrait view would let me use the full height of the screen while still having room on the side for other windows.
  7. Same lol. How is the KSP app not in the same folder? Did you move it or do you have a steam version in addition to squads?
  8. Ok, I was thinking that might have been the case, but I didn't see it posted anywhere here that they still work a bit when closed. I forgot I could right click them to see their status Thanks
  9. I do everything I can to ensure my Kerbals' safety. I don't like one way trips, but I make exceptions for bases because it'd be too much hassle to rotate the crew. I don't consider a stranded ship a base either You could make the argument however, that they wanted to go so badly they were willing to die there. I know there are plenty of humans that would be willing to live out their life on another world.
  10. Fractal, this is the post I was referencing. Waste heat works on my other reactors, but not the small one. I know the heat is bad.
  11. My 62.5cm generator and reactor combos still aren't producing waste heat. Am I missing something here or is my game bugged?
  12. Yeah, in the VAB you can only zoom in and out, scroll up and down, and spin the camera. The hanger does all that, plus allows you to move the camera with shift+right click. I'm not sure why they don't allow it in the VAB even though it's smaller horizontally.
  13. You can always select the whole craft with shift+click or clicking the capsule and move it around as you see fit. And if you're docking, hit V a couple times to get the chase camera. It locks your view to the craft.
  14. I'm using the probe sized reactor and generator but I'm producing no waste heat. I have 2 small radiators but they aren't open. If they're open and I close them, the heat jumps up to 0.03 for a split second before fading away. The reactor and generator being used for power, not propulsion, but it still seems odd to have no heat build up.
  15. So I guess that means that the recently posted maps of the flux fields are already out of date? Or did you just alter the numbers over the whole field uniformly per body, while keeping the density to altitude values the same? Also, I love your mod! I love KSP, but this mod really puts it over the top. Thanks for all your effort! (And to zzz for high quality visuals!)
  16. It can be difficult to return it to it's original place, but if you hold shift while holding right mouse button and dragging, you can change the point at which the camera pans around. This way, even if you can't re-align it perfectly, you can center the camera on your ship.
  17. You can also rotate the craft horizontally with the qweasd keys, if you want to build a space plane in the VAB. Just make sure to point it back up for launch. It's too bad the VAB doesn't have symmetry mode. It would be nice to have a combination of the two modes as well where you could add more than one part to each side but still keep it symmetrical. Like if you wanted to build an x-wing (for example) you'd only have to place one wing and the other three would be perfectly spaced out.
