The absolute only node change in restock was the mk1-3 pod/heat shield combination and it was tested six ways from Sunday to not affect existing craft. The restock-esque parts have already been in this mod as replacements for a long time, this is just porting over the fixes and improvements -

It would have to be at full engineering consulting rates, so literally thousands of dollars per IVA (NFS quality takes, oh, 50 hours all in to build) -

Yes, acts the same as the stock parts that Squad deprecated. Except in my case, I'll probably leave them like this for 3-4 months and then hard deprecate, not leave around forever ;). -

Ok based on comments, unless there's a really good reason, I will soft-deprecate all the NFS monoprop tanks in the next update. I always think about that! Everything I build is designed to work together to build stuff I want to build, and have it look pretty. Once I'm done I'll actually play KSP. Lol you wish -

@Starwaster I could use some help figuring out what is wrong. So far I noticed that RealChute's MM patches for stock rely on specific model components as seen here https://github.com/StupidChris/RealChute/blob/v1.4.7.3/Output/GameData/RealChute/ModuleManager/Stock_RealChute_MM.cfg#L35. This seemed like an easy fix (retarget the correct objects in the new models with MM, see https://github.com/PorktoberRevolution/ReStocked/blob/master/Distribution/Restock/GameData/ReStock/Compatibility/RealChute.cfg for the draft patch). However it has been reported to me that this doesn't work. Do you have any insights? -

It's very unlikely that they will all be released before 1.7, and I really can't afford the time to support earlier releases. There's some upcoming features in 1.7 that I'd like to make use of as well for certain parts if they work out. I'll look into changing that name. Itinerant might use a new designation completely as it no longer has the same visual cues as the PPD-series Yeah unfortunately I invalidated all my previous art :(. -

Restock+ has a considerably better 3.75m battery. I'd like to move maintenance of those parts there. What are your requirements for monoprop tanks? If I need to keep some it would be good to pare down the set. For example, the smallest 2.5m one is definitely going away as it is a stock part replacement in all but name (same size, price, capacity), and the Restock one is leaps visually better. Restock+ will also eventually include something in the same footprint as the smallest 3.75m one, so that's on the chopping block. So, out of the remaining 3x lengths of 1.25ms, 2x lengths of 2.5m and 2x lengths of 3.75m... what can I kill in your view? -

Ok people, so this neglected mod suite needs some updates. The art sucks in a lot of places I'm not going to remodel everything, but the temptation is large. There will be a kinda... stopgap improvement of some of the packs - timeboxed effort to improve textures. A small roadmap follows. Note that there are some questions in RED NF Propulsion All model greys will be normalized with Restock standard palettes Fuel tank endcap texures are gross and look like raw sewage, fixes required Lithium foil tanks could use a treatment with the reflective shader Argon fuel tanks will get a revised coloration - going to try out some pseudo-reflective brushed aluminum looks for the "inner" tanks. Xenon tanks and colorations need some work to match the new Restock tanks Engine/fuel colour coding will get a revisions pass - Lithium needs its own unique colour (instead of sharing with Xenon), Argon is way too bright and inconsistent, and Xenon could use some tuneups NF Construction Greys need normalizing within the mod and with standard palettes Fuel-containing trusses need work - matching what will be done with NF propulsion for new fuels New docking ports need to be brought up to the Restock port standards Replacement models for some stock assets will be removed, they will be handled as part of Restock NF Electrical Batteries will be completely redone Capacitors will be completely redone Reactors and fuel elements will be color-normalized with Restock palettes The large 3.75m battery will be deprecated. NF Solar Nothing will be retained, everything needs to be redone. This will take some months but it will be so much better NF Spacecraft All model colours will be normalized with the Restock palette Some doors/hatches will be replaced with better ones Foil will become restock-standard-type Some renovation will be done on the monoprop engines, specifically the shrouds Monoprop engines will get new effects I really want to deprecate the monoprop tanks, can I do that please? They are unsalvageable and will be a lot of work to redo completely NF Launch Vehicles Engines need a texture pass to even approach newer quality targets Effects need a not looking like garbage pass Better design language for fuel tanks will be implemented All model colours will be normalized with the Restock palette NF Aero As the newest mod which targets plane part matching, nothing really needs to be changed. @steve_v sorry to have taken so long but I still haven't found a solution for your bug (or even consistent repros). I will keep looking. -

Glad you enjoy! Just a little note for the upcoming future of this mod - I know there's a lot of issues in the buglist and I'll work to try to resolve them - I've obviously been bogged down in a small project. The biggest thing for SSPXr is going to be cleaning up some of the parts. Here's a shortlist The replacement models for the Hitchiker, Mobile Lab, Cupola and docking port will be the same as the ones used in Restock. They will still be installed by SSPXr if you don't have Restock They will keep their switchable endcaps from SSPXr The endcap hatches and external airlocks will be improved to match the new Restock ones Where there is MLI foil, it will be improved to the new standard. Some whites, greys and blacks need to be normalized across parts This is a lot more work than it looks like, so probably after KSP 1.7. It's also slated after Near Future fixes, as that mod needs some love first. If you have bug report and things, please let me know so I can aggregate them to the bug tracker so I don't lose them. -

I have a FAQ entry for this: I would take the same stance as I usually do: stuff is modeled for a specific physical texture density. Seeing it scaled up or down is like nails on a chalkboard. Nobody's stopping you from doing it, it won't break things, but... yeah. Hey, there's a few examples in this thread (and check the readme.txt), you need to generate a whitelist file for that mod. See how you have GameData/GameData? That's an extra GameData layer, get rid of that (move the ReStock and MM files up one level). -

Yes, there is a known issue: https://github.com/PorktoberRevolution/ReStocked/issues/530. You can test the fix by tossing this file in your install: https://github.com/PorktoberRevolution/ReStocked/blob/master/Distribution/Restock/GameData/ReStock/Compatibility/RealChute.cfg. If you do so please tell me if it works. Not sure what could be wrong, we only replaced plumes for these. -

Still no promises, anything you get is a bonus! Hiding MH parts would be annoying IMO. If you hid them, players with MH and RS+ installed would see only the RS+ part, build a ship with them, and then be surprised if they removed RS+ and the ship broke. However, the reverse (ship breaking if MH is removed) makes more sense to the less mod-savvy player - remove stock content and of course you expect breakage. I'm not sure about the Ant... the thing is, the original model never had a shroud so not sure what to do there. If you fixed the Sparks and Terriers manually before, they'll be broken again (this update forced the names back to Squad's originals), sorry about that, but better for the future. I have located the problem and there will be a fix in the next version Yeah working also on a compatibility patch for realPlume for the next version You need to whitelist AND remove the appropriate moduleManager configuration. I suspect sumghai worked around the awful way stock defined the nodes, which we addressed ourselves. Working with Snark on this one too. You might want to post your log. Usually missing texture = broken and won't load part though, not white. To any other bugs we missed, this thread is moving fast and it's hard to keep up. Please ping one of the devs if you don't see your issue on git or replied to here. -

The GitHub download looks fine but there was an issue with the Spacedock one that has been corrected
