  1. In my opinion that that doesn't help new players at all. Examples of working craft are much better in my opinion, they would show the new players what they need to be doing to succeed in the game. Now, if there were craft that one was supposed to fix, then that would be okay. But only having a whole bunch of half-finished ideas, and outdated ones at that, are not helpful.
  2. I've recently gotten the idea to improve some of the now-broken (or always broken) craft in stock KSP by default. I'll be putting them here as I finish them. I may also later include craft that I make that I feel could be stock. Click the craft titles for a download link. Rocket Power VTOL: 1.0 An iconic craft, but sadly, a TWR less than one post 1.0. With the original in mind I built this version from the ground up, keeping the general shape but refining some of the part positions.
  3. This is possibly the most confusing post I've ever seen on the forum.
  4. It's so close. If I pan the third-person camera up, I can see the pole. All this time. It's nearly here. I'm almost 1/4 of the way done. I'm ready This is the moment. Jeb plants the flag. Pulling on to the ice. Probably the last trees for hundreds of kilometers. Uh oh. NO! Not now! I'm so close! Nice try, you bugger of a hill.
  5. Hmm. I'm not great with station names. :/ Let's see... Station Aurora Laythe Venture Nova Station
  6. Can't find the darn K2 monolith. Been looking for at least half an hour in the few kilometers where it should be, based on the screenshots in the OP. Any tips? (Also, the old 'Wing still works! )
  7. Windows 8.1, Google Chrome Version 45.0.2454.85 m. EDIT: I am noticing a certain trend.
  8. You seem to have changed KerrMu's name to KerrMü.
  9. Oh, those repulsors are so tempting. :/ So much of this stuff is tempting. Must... resist... mods!
  10. panzer1b: You're completely right! I forgot about SRBs! In that case, I'd go with 80 empty RT-5/10's and the four capsules and some struts.
  11. Test Subject: 1 HECS probe core 1 RTG 190-some-odd radial monoprop engines Directive: To determine if required TWR is possible in Stock, forgoing the part count limit. Results: Passed Mun orbit at 6 minute mark. Failure. I am now convinced that this is impossible with Stock parts, unless one can reliably trigger the FTL Kraken. Which can result in My favorite screenshot so far, it's been used over and over again.
  12. Eh, rules. I've got a plan. Gonna try it now.
  13. Never seen anyone make a paper plane, you sir are the first. DISCLAIMER: Based on my own knowledge.
  14. I have also observed that if you open multiple spoilers, the effect does not appear until you've closed the last one.
  15. I, for one, think it is possible with the little monoprop engines. If you Christmas tree them on a small probe core and some SAS, you've basically made a warp drive. (I know because I've tried it.) The rules do not say "no debug menu", so infinite fuel seems OK.
  16. So, you're making a new variable G.O. #1 and its value is NEEDS_MANYKERBS (probably a constant) bitshifted by NEEDS_FEWKERBS? This actually came to me before I managed to figure out the real message.
  17. You want to install a mod to manage your mods? For the first question, I don't know. The second is definitely Extraplanetary Launchpads.
  18. Yeah, I've got Chrome as well. Wonder what it is. It seems to be new.
  19. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/60551-Spoiler-Easter-Egg-Stocktake-1-0-4 Noticed this today. Opening and then closing the spoiler will result in text on the page being hidden. At least for me.
  20. I'm going to finish the Elcano challenge.
