Mobile Gundam Suits (MRK V kOS Footage)
Voculus replied to VR_Dev's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
That is insanely awesome! Truly a masterpiece! I can't imagine how much time must have went into the designing and testing of that beast. -
LOL! That is awesome! Well done!

Mun Rover Design review!
Voculus replied to MrUberGr's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I like to build low gravity rovers that can roll any which way, and never get stuck. -
I always liked this one.

The drills must make physical contact with the seabed below, in order to extract the Kethane. I've read a number of theories about trying to get the drills to sink to the bottom, while attached by a winch, but I have never seen a single video or screenshot of Kethane being mined from underwater. As far as I can tell, Kethane deposits underwater are inaccessible.

Exciting new large aircraft project underway
Voculus replied to a topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
That is a thing of beauty! I always enjoy seeing others succeed where I've failed over and over. It gives me inspiration to keep trying. -
How are you guys getting the B9 SABRE engines to function? I know there was a thread with details, but I'm not able to find it with a search.
-
No offense intended, but if after a year, you're still unable to dock, then there is a piece of the puzzle you're missing, or a part of the concept you're misunderstanding. Docking is fairly easy to do if you have a grasp of the rendezvous mechanics.

That is one sexy spaceship/plane pairing. Another neat thing in KSP I've not been able to do, yet. It's too bad one craft is essentially a total loss after the other separates, but I suppose the rationale is that the mothership is automagically piloted back safely after it vanishes beyond physics/visual range. Nicely done, Cowboy.

Thanks for sharing that plane, Andrew. Of all the things I've built, I've never managed an interplanetary SSTO. Your video seems jacked up at the 5:13 mark. Maybe it's just me. One other thing: I'm slightly hard of hearing, and found the music in your video too loud to make out your voice easily. Sorry, just a lil' gripe of mine.

The perfect joystick for KSP
Voculus replied to Poynting's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
The X52 is excellent, and the more you use it, the more you'll find yourself assigning various commands to it. And then you'll have it for any future games, as well. You never know. -
The perfect joystick for KSP
Voculus replied to Poynting's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Total overkill, but I've been using this for flight sims for a couple years now. -

Started at .21, and have over 600 hours of my life dumped into KSP. Yikes! Something about creating the perfect vehicle, built from scratch, pushes my buttons.

Never even tried Career mode, and I can't see myself ever doing it.

Holy buckets, Levelord! What an outstanding vid that was! I love the ingenuity of your designs. Proof that form and function can coexist as equals! I'm curious as to how you achieved that camera work, and what mod you're using for the cockpit. My flight sim hairs stood up on end the instant I saw it!

Okay, so now what…
Voculus replied to THobson's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I'm a big fan of the Kethane mod. It's the only thing that's kept me going after these hundreds of hours. It gives you a reason to send satellites, rovers, landers, and enormous mining rigs on other planets and moons. Don't neglect the spaceplanes, later on. They're a lot more fun than they look. -
Whoops! I was looking at my Profile, and not Settings. All is well. Thanks!

Is it bad form to ask for an avatar now?

If it's convenient to de-orbit debris, I will. Otherwise, I let them loose, and never look back.
