  1. Finished! It's not very good as it was rushed to meet with me hitting 500 subscribers, and I only did half the song due to time constraints. But I guess this works right?
  2. Ha ha, got to say that's an interesting story. Anyway, I take dibs on this music video! Probably going to start now, sounds a hell of a lot more fun than what I'm doing right now :/
  3. Thanks man, this should really help me with writing the next film. I've already started planning an eye watering scene where... oh wait, I probably shouldn't tell you
  4. Glad you enjoyed it. And mind me asking which bits pushed you emotionally? That would be awesome feedback for my next film EDIT: First track is
  5. Really glad you noticed all of that! I had so much fun doing the sound effect for this film, especially the broadcast scene at the end. The SFX in that scene really made it for me
  6. Just tried to upload it to both and I'm afraid it's not allowing me. Vimeo wants money and daily motion doesn't like the format of the file. Sorry, have you tried watching through a proxy? I don't change the FOV, it's simply a side effect of a technique I use which involves zooming in the footage and keyframing its position. It just adds a bit of depth.
  7. Although it doesn't really count. Macey Dean. And Nassault, for pretty obvious reasons (I would say myself but I'm simply too much of a gentleman) EDIT: Completely forgot some really good ones! OperationDx1, Bob Fitch and Danny2462.
  8. Watched this the other day, really enjoyed it and an amazing first attempt. Good choice of music, nice pacing, beginning was great and a really good rocket to go with it. Good choice of song for the credits as well. To improve I'd recommend the use of kerbcam a little more, and some colour grading; as the image does look a bit flat. Think how cool the opening shot of Kerbin would look if only the colours were a little more punchy! To get away with those stationary shots try keyframing some movement and scale into the footage in your editing software of choice, just to give the illusion that the camera is moving. Other than that, great work! I really look forward to seeing what you'll make in the future
  9. You weren't kidding when you said Multiple Solar Systems would make good cinematics It certainly looks promising, need any help with it?
  10. Wow, you've got a keen eye. Didn't think anyone would notice. Did it because the shot was so far zoomed in that the actual mun looked very low resolution and needed to be replaced with something that looked a bit higher quality. Thinking about it now, I probably should have used an image of the mun instead of the moon.
  11. Watched this a while ago and I enjoyed it. Pretty dramatic. Anyway, finally here's my proper contribution to the thread... EDIT: 100th post, yay!
  12. "Antarctica" is a story of Friendship, Loss and Revenge. Set in the South Pole... Antarctica is a near half an hour long narrative film following Jeb and Bill's unanticipated journey to the South Pole. This film's been in the works for quite a while and has consumed the last month and a half of my life, so I hope you enjoy it. A big thank you to ABAthedude and Rune who directly helped me with the making of this film one way of another. And also thanks to Nassault who is pretty much the reason so many people will be able to enjoy the film. By the way, somebody will have to verify this, but I think I might have made the longest high-quality KSP film to date. In any case, I certainly had fun making this, so I hope you have fun watching. Quick Notes: - Too much M83? I agree... but I bought the album so I guess I should get my money's worth. - I learnt a lot making this film but it could have been improved pretty much everywhere, so leave any constructive criticisms in this thread or the film's comments section. - You can now download Johnbas' VTOL, available at all good Skunkworks! - Thanks to Astronomer who's now endorsing the film on the curse page for his visual pack. I suppose the film does do a good job of highlighting the Auroras.
  13. Great minds think a like I've been planning to make a space opera style military movie in one of the new systems for some time. But I've kind've had some good ideas for how the same idea would fit on Laythe. I suppose I'll just have to decide when the time comes.
  14. Erh, nice videos guys. TAL, great choice of music and the composition was great. Megalodon, nice crafts: especially the Brittanic Replica. But you've both made a little mistake. This thread is purely for cinematics, that means videos with filmic qualities, check out the beginning of the thread for examples. Not compilations or just plain craft showcases. Anyway, I guess we all make mistakes. Actually quite liked this Zekes, you made sure to get creative and do it in a cinematic way. The music you chose fit like a glove. And the ending was spectacular. The obvious things to improve if you plan on doing another are to use kerbcam, use more variation with different shots and think about pacing when you're editing. Other than that, great work! Unless you wanted to take it a step further and get in to the region of proper film-making with a great deal of pre and post production then you're pretty much good to make anything you wanted
  15. That's probably the best cinematic I've seen on this thread yet The way you do effects and little cinematic assets is great! My favourite parts were probably the Kennedy speech, Bill's flyby, the super trippy journey through intergalactic space and of course: the very last moments of the mars landing.
  16. Thanks. I was actually thinking about using a completely green or black sky box but there's the issue of not facing the camera at the sun or, if you're orbiting a planet: then not at that either. I guess you could just film everything in an orbit around Kerbol that goes far behind Eeloo's.
  17. Really enjoyed watching this a second time Are you using the same Video Copilot Aspect ratio change I hinted too in the video?
  18. So yesterday I noticed that there's four hundred people who wanna see what I make, gotta say, I really like that! Thought I'd give you guys a treat, it's a quick preview of the material I've made before and after the trailer for Antarctica, my new KSP Movie. Also, thanks to Nassault. Who, despite all the sarcastic criticism I give him; has been pretty nice to me recently...
  19. Ha ha, if it were up to me all four of those would be in military conscription by now!
  20. Please! Describe it to me. It must be so divine... Scratch that. I got it! And it is b-e-a-u-tiful!
  21. I use premiere pro and the creative cloud which I get for about £16 a month.
  22. Got to say I really liked all of these, especially Vacuum! It's nice to meet somebody who also uses black bars!!
