  1. It's not starting up, I updated it and now I don't see a little server connection window. I have no other mods installed. It is installed with the proper folders in their respective Gamedata and saves folders. I am running the steam version using KSPModAdmin. What's going on?
  2. Okay. I'd still like to take a moment to relish the picture(s) I just took, though. Also, it seems a bit OP to take a picture of space and get 500 science out of it with 100% transmission efficiency, compared to other instruments :\
  3. When using the cameras, it only gives me less than a second to view the picture I just took. That's no fun, what gives?
  4. How do I get it to work, exactly? Does it have to be a brand new mission?
  5. 0.22, it's in GameData. ...I wonder if it makes a difference using the launcher instead of going straight to the .exe...
  6. Nope. Loaded up a game, launched a rocket, used map view etc, nothing. Do I just have an odd copy of the game?
  7. Okay, I'm a bit of a noob here when it comes to mods, but I'm not exactly sure how to install this. According to search, I'm simply supposed to put the folder into my GameData folder and everything will work itself out...but when I launch the game, nothing's changed. Is there some sort of additional instruction I've missed?
  8. That would be cool. And while you're at it, give the rover wheels more traction and physics! Roving is really uncomfortable atm with slippery control and bouncing, and explosions...oh my, the explosions.
  9. ...mini games? YES. MINIGAMES! FOR SCIENCE! Oh my, that sounds wonderful.
  10. No, I was in Map Mode trying to get a preview of the planets. Does it make a difference?
  11. ...How do I, um...get it to work? I put the UniverseReplacer in the GameData folder, downloaded the Jool and Eve cloud textures and spacex34's Planets and Moons (just the Kerbin textures), put them in their respective folders, and loaded up the game. Didn't see anything.
  12. Question: What is everybody doing to get all these high-graphics/HD texture stuff? I can't find anything like that anywhere.
  13. Where's that at? The search engine on here's really weird, searching up 'TAC Life Support' gives nothing
  14. You know, you can always choose to keep the data and bring it back to Kerbin
  15. Oh wow, really? I had just gone over that right now. Ah, there it is, "Life Support". I'd have figured that would just apply to oxygen regulation, which I didn't mention. I also didn't exactly suggest food outright -- this is merely a suggestion if they DO implement food. Perhaps I should make that clear
  16. Note: This is not a thread suggesting food -- this is a thread suggesting a feature if there WERE food any time in the future. Since Kerbals seem to be practically photosynthetic right now, perhaps later on as career mode is expanded upon food becomes an issue, effectively limiting premature expansion (no more getting to Minmus in a Mk 1 pod). Since many new players may wind up killing their Kerbals on initial attempts like these, I suggest we go easy on them by giving Kerbals the ability to shut down most biological functions once they are deprived, like a tardigrade. This way they can remain in space indefinitely until a rescue craft comes to give them a kick/splash them with water/revive somehow with a new cache of food. How does that sound?
  17. Here's how I see the whole 'science' thing. It isn't a direct data-to-technology thing. Instead, scientific information brought back to the KSC is reviewed, and the Kerbal government in turn gives the program grant money for researching new parts. Still think it's kinda silly how you get aircraft parts before landing gear, but again this is only a prototype it seems. There shouldn't be any barriers or anything stupid like that. Instead, a change to the tech tree would accomplish this. If someone wants to go all-out and get to the Mun prematurely, they can.
  18. This is kind of what this whole forum subsection is for, dude.
  19. Because someone had the bright idea to give Jeb medium courage and stupidity!
  20. Hmm, something isn't quite right here... D'ah, must be my imagination! (Also, by noting the aircraft's choice of landing gear you can get a good idea of the tech tree not getting its priorities straight )
  21. Can anyone please enlighten me as to how they've gotten 6,000 science points in the span of a day?
  22. The only thing I'd change at the moment might be the tech tree, and possibly the science output. The research reminds me less of an actual scientific learning process and more like the research tree you'd see on an AddictingGames game. I'd like to see a tree that more closely mirrors the Space Race, from Sputnik to Gemini to Apollo and etc (and of course you still explore Kerbin's biomes to demonstrate landing and science acquisition technologies, as well as the experiments therein). Science output from crew, EVA reports shouldn't decrease so drastically, as logically they're always going to be doing something different inside, as well as different things happening outside. It would seem that scientific output becomes 'used up' fairly quickly, requiring you to do things like go to the Mun 'prematurely' while you still only have the one-seater command pods. It just doesn't feel right to land on Mun without having the Big Three there to mark the triumphant journey. I also very much agree with most of what Mr. Scruffy has said -- and upgrading from, say, a bar downtown to a Crew Complex would be pretty funny All in all, this update is great, and the technologies demonstrated in the new release have tons of potential. Can't wait to see what's in store next.
