I've removed all mods except DSEV for power and Hyperedit. If I hit quicksave and quickload during warp, it will result in a static fluorescent green bubble. When not using warp, if I go to any other vessel, quickload, or go to Space Center, then come back, the warp drive will just not activate. The engine will still produce thrust, but no warp, or bubble either. -
My proposal is to instead of when vessels dock their respective parts lists intermingle, they are placed into a sub-category, something like "component". It would make it much easier to forcibly separate craft after a kerbal gets the idea to put Space-Krazy-Glue on the docking port. VESSEL { pid = 2 ... name = Example Composite Vessel ... I've noticed a typo in the Supernova's config file, the pulsed fusion mode has an ISP of 25,000 instead of what the picture advertises (60,000). Also, is it just me or whenever the Supernova is upgraded the part flies off despite still being attached. Though I'm still having trouble with upgrading it, it just says "insufficient resources" when everything's there, so I have to edit it in the save file. -
TheSaint, thanks, I was hoping to hear from someone who has tried this. My reasons are wanderlust, I love their music, architecture, and when I do start a family it would be in a better place than here. I've seen and heard far too much to be comfortable here, I don't want my future children to deal with the issues I've had to. I have a handful of friends who were forced to quit for the simple offense of going to church on the wrong day (there are loopholes in the laws). On top of that, my demographic is tied with the most hated in America (oddly there is a PubMed article on it) and I don't see that changing anytime soon. Bill Phil, I unfortunately couldn't afford a degree (until recently), but I was working on Aeronautical Engineering. I've even held a position in that industry for 5 years and they loved my performance. Some of the big issues I have with America are on the national level. Though I would consider staying here if I found something suitable.

Thanks for the info, unfortunately the closest embassies for the countries I'm thinking about is about 3,000 driving miles away. I guess I'll try the town hall first (I've got a bit of a phone phobia that I've not been able to get rid of yet). United States. Oregon to be more precise on location.

The only jobs available here pay so little that one needs to be on welfare just to survive. And the political and social climates are...off-putting you could say. Currently I am considering Denmark primarily, Sweden and Norway are the runner-ups (I'd consider others too). My only problem with Denmark is purely geographical (its too flat). I understand that moving to a different country can be very difficult. Which is why I plan on going as a student to make the transition smoother. Not as an exchange student though, since I'm not planning on returning to my current country. This is the first time I've considered something like this and have no idea where to start.

Right click on the part in the catalog in the VAB or SPH. It says 10k Rocket parts and 600 Science Points IIRC.

Thanks, I didn't see that info. I have tried to attach the rocket parts, but the "upgrade engine" option didn't come up. Could that be due to being in sandbox mode (I usually test designs in sandbox)

I cannot seem to change the fuel mode for the Supernova Fusion Engine. When changed in the VAB it just resets, and there is no button in flight.

This is definitely inspired by Macey Dean's series, as it takes place in the same universe, and in the same time as Macey's series. My story has 3 parts to it that I'd like to divide into seasons, but I'm having a bit of trouble with insufficient content. I would definitely appreciate input (especially from other Youtubers/storywriters). The company, Astrotech (name still in-the-air) is a small company with a big dream to develop interstellar capable technology, but is caught in the crossfire between the two mega-companies, and has to deal with the changing political climate. Assets Ideas The basic story will be written beforehand, but the battles will be unscripted. There is still a lot for me to do before I can make a video. I thought I corrected that typo. Could a Mod please correct the title? Thanks in advance.

I've been writing a story for the past few months that I think would be good. I just have no idea on what to do with it. I'd also like to ask other writers for their opinion. It would be mod free until the end of the story, with interstellar and Orbital Construction being added. -
Tragedy has struck my space program, one of my research ships was consumed by the Kraken during its return from Eeloo. The entire crew of 5 was lost. A memorial service was set up with all Kerbonauts in the Kerbin system in attendance. this gives me an idea for a mod.

Wouldn't that nullify the cross pollinating problem? Since the crops are sterile, they cannot pollinate others. (first link paragraph 635.02 sentence c) Also, why would you buy GMO crops if you want to use your produce to seed the next season. Wouldn't you just get the non-GMO instead? maybe the products should be required to be labelled as sterile or not.

Over the past moth, there has a lot of anti-GMO activities in my locale mostly arising due to the county trying to outlaw it, against the ruling of the state & Federal Government (http://www.co.jackson.or.us/Files/JACK%2015-1%20Full%20Ordinance.pdf and http://www.co.josephine.or.us/files/17-58ballottitlewebsite.pdf). The problem I'm having is that the only reasons against GMO I can find are purely superstitious in nature. Also, I am only aware of how the people in my area feel about it. I'd like to know what people around the world think (and please give some support to your opinion), as well as other countries' laws on the subject. You can't get any slingshot effects without leaving SOI, I guess you could use the Oberth effect. Increasing your conic patch limit will help with planning slingshots and other maneuvers. I usually increase it to 6 from default of 3. settings.cfg CONIC_PATCH_LIMIT = 6 -

Some of my Kerbals start raking in so many ribbons that it can start to get a bit cluttered, so I'd like to propose a method that should help (and IMHO would look better). I'm not even close to done with him. When a Kerbal enters SOI of an object, it is awarded with the respective celestial ribbon, on top of which are added the achievements the Kerbal makes while there. Here is an example of what I'm proposing. -
Right, the more exact you are, the closer they will be to target, but I've done it without Mechjeb without too much trouble. Something that can show orbital and/or target information would be very useful if you want a lot of precision. and it looks like Scotty has described my other technique in setting up constellations, but I'll see if I can upload my math file. Its not looking very good for the upload, so what kind of orbital parameters are you planning (altitude, period etc) assuming final orbit is circular. 1a) If you got the altitude you want then run the following formula: R = body radius r = desired altitude apsis P = √( [(4À^2)*([R+r]^3)] /μ) 1b) if you want a specific period then: p = desired orbital period r = third√( [p^2 μ] / [4À^2] )-R 2) now you got what you need next you want to divide it by the number of satellites in the orbit then run the next formula: r2 = other apsis p = P / number of sats in orbit r2 = 2*[third√( p^2 μ / 4À^2)] - (r+R) now you should have the needed Apsides. the rotation of orbital planet divided by the number in formation, that is the time between launches. For example Kerbin has a 6 hour day, so you launch your rockets 1 hour apart (for 6 formation). If you can't launch them that fast, then you take your current time in hours MODULO 6 and track which ones you have launched. Assuming you're on a 0 inclination. I have a more advanced procedure for non-equatorial ones if you need them. For more advanced formations with some satellites offset, just place their positions on a circle, then place a 6 hour clock (for Kerbin only) over it, then that is your launch times MODULO 6. Again assuming 0 inclination, and the aforementioned formula would still work if needed. between .17 and .21 I have set up many GPS constellations around Kerbin, Mun, and Jool, with extreme accuracy.
