  1. Theres a realism overhaul config folder included in the download, make sure you extract that as well. That should make most of the parts work in RO. After you do that, you should probably also include the patches I posted here (just replace the RO configs in the original link with those), since the ones originally included don't work too well
  2. @Sobol ok. In the meantime, I've posted fixed versions of the RO configs here. This includes AR-1 and F-1B gimballing, F-1B mix ratio, and a general redo of Orion's config (the original turned out to be very innaccurate. Orion SM should only have 1 set of tanks for all engines, just burning MMH/MON-3, and the CM RCS is hydrazine monoprop. Changed Orion engine configs as well to match real life fuel, thrust, and ISP values).
  3. The RO config hasan issue. Orion shows a max delta v of only about 850 m/s (should be ~1.4 km/s) and its about 10 tons over its actual mass. I think you misinterpretted the gross/dry weight NASA listed. And AR-1 and F1-B can't gimbal, and F1-B's mixture ratio is way off what it should be
  4. Its probably just my ....ty flying, but in case not... ksp 1.04, latest version of this mod. Mod list: http://i.imgur.com/lRIdlpt.png I am using the RO version which is rather unfinished, so it could be a problem with that version specifically. Also with regards to the RO version, the rear RCS blocks (On the OMS pods) don't function properly
  5. I've not yet had a reentry not look like this. Though usually the nose ends up pointed straight down instead of up... Just using parachutes instead now
  6. If you need an existing Orion to base the measurements/attachment points on, I'd recommend the one from CMES. As far as I know CMES is the only mod with Orion currently supported by RO (The current release doesn't support it very well, but theres a patch on github to fill in the missing MM configs), so thats probably what most people will be using. That should give you the right sizes for the fairing and such
  7. This is awesome, can't wait for proper texturing to be finished. Any plans for the advanced boosters or Orion-specific fairings (Something like this, with an opening for Orion on top and space/attachment nodes underneath for other payloads)?
  8. Has anyone got a working RO config for Dreamchaser or any of the other extras? Edit: It seems this version of the shuttle itself doesnt work in RO either. The orbiter is too small, all the other parts that go with it are the right size I think though
  9. Yes. Reinstalled KSP, still got the same issue with no other mods installed.
  10. I'm already using the lowest available resolution. Ive also tried the 2 higher ones and niether of them worked.
  11. Update on my issue. Ive just checked, and all the surface textures for the other planets and moons work fine, Earth/kerbin is the only one affected.
  12. Yes, and I've tried redownloading it in various sizes as well. Still black
  13. All the terrain textures are black for me. But from map view and orbit they look fine. http://imgur.com/Ocu0tbz,ja2kF28#0 Any ideas?
  14. My RCS controls arent working correctly. I can only rotate/translate using certain keys (ie A and K work, but not WSDQE HNJIL). Exactly which keys work seems to depend on he crafts orrientation I think, but I'm not certain
  15. Anything above 80 km will take multiple orbits to decay with Apollo. Other capsules can reenter from that high though (and the 40-60 km profile is survivable for them)
  16. Start in LEO (ranging from 200-500 km circular depending on the specific test), burn retrograde to get a periapse of around 40-60 km, then just before entering the atmosphere jetison the service module. If necesary use RCS to keep the heathsheild pointed retrograde (though even without that the COM is far back enough that it will quickly flip that direction anyway). Then just wait several minutes until the reentry heat goes down enough to deploy parachutes (with Apollo this ends up being about 2-3 km, though its still going at almost 1 km/s at this point), separate the forward heatshield and deploy parachutes. If the crew is somehow still alive at this point, the gforces from the parachutes will certainly kill them and destroy the capsule.
  17. I'm having the same issue as DeepOdyssey. The subassemblies load fine though, but not the full rockets. Also, I'm having problems with reentry specifically with the apollo capsule. With the default RO configs the center of mass is too high, so it flipped over during reentry and burned up. To counteract this, I added more mass to the heatshield (and reducded the CM's mass by the same amount) to bring the COM lower, and now it reenters in the correct attitude. But it doesnt seem to have enough drag to slow down, and by the time it hits the ground its still supersonic (just coming in from a 200-300 km orbit), and the heatshield is burning way more than it should (at its peak, its burning through over 100 units of ablativeshielding per second). Once it gets below around 30 km the drag picks up substantially, raising g forces high enough to kill the crew (but its still decelerating too slowly to deploy parachutes without them either burning up or it hitting the ground first) All the other pods I have installed (including the other FASA ones) reenter and land fine, so its an issue with the Apollo CM specifically
  18. OK it seems to have been a problem with the fglrx drivers, ive reverted to the standard xorg one. Not seeing any crashes so far
  19. Ive tried all of those with no success, except the graphics drivers. I will try that later tonight
  20. I'm having an issue with the game crashing in the VAB. As soon as I place any parts, or if I pull up the debug screen, my whole computer freezes. No input is accepted from mouse or keyboard, and it doesnt unfreeze by itself. Only way to fix it is the hold down the power button. I'm not seeing anything that looks relevant in the ksp.log file. This seems to be a new issue with Ubuntu 14.04, as I had the ARM update working fine on 13.10. I did the memory address patch for 64 bit ksp, but that didnt help (and the game ran fine on 13.10 without the patch, so I dont think its a memory issue anyway). Ive looked through the last few pages of this and didnt see anything, anyone got any ideas?
  21. Doesnt work for me. The game still hangs at the tracking station even with the new DLL
  22. How do you disable the time delay in this version? In the previous one there was a setting in a config file for it, but I dont see it on this one
  23. Sorry if this has been answered before, but I've checked and didnt find it. I just installed KW rocketry a few days ago and DR no longer works. I still have the heatshield parts, but when I fly I get no heat damage no matter how fast I go. Right clicking on a part also doesn't tell me the temperature of it, but it shows "isshielded: false". This also affects ships that only have stock parts used. I had B9 installed before and it seemed to work fine then
