  2. Pretty much abandoned for now. The mesh got ruined somehow and I haven't had the motivation to fix it. I might get around to it but don't count on it.
  3. No, it's weird like that. Try flipping it upside-down, attaching it, then removing it and attaching it right-side-up. I'll play around with the collision meshes and see if I can't fix it.
  4. Update is available in the OP: Now featuring Aeroshells. Edited: Forgot to add the ejectable heatshield and backshell for the atmospheric probe. Now at 0.1.1
  5. Nope. I'm busy with school now and the mesh is messed up. And I want to finish my lander and aeroshells first. I'm not sure then. They worked last I checked.
  6. If you want something to be horizontal, build it vertically, detach it, then put it back on horizontally.
  7. It's a shell so you put your lander or whatever inside of it.
  8. Started on aeroshells for rovers and landers: This one is 1.8m in diamter. There's a smaller one that is 1m in diameter. I also started on a lander but I don't have it at a point where I want show it. It will be like the Phoenix and Mars Polar landers though.
  9. I made a decoupler version of the heatshield and a new backshell which can decouple. As soon as I make a parachute for the instruments ball I'll release them all.

  11. WIP It's just a preview release because people were saying they really wanted to use the probe. Also, the rover is pretty messed up. The mesh has some shading issues that I can't fix and it stopped working after I scaled the mesh up. I wouldn't get my hopes up for it being released in time for 0.17. Thanks for the feedback. 1) Backshell is a better name. I'll change that. The parts are backwards because I was having issues with the parachute opening upside-down. Use WASDQE to rotate it pointing up. 2-4) The idea was to make a probe that's like the smaller of the pioneer venus probes. I'll look into making one that opens up exposing the instrument ball. 5) The idea was to have the parachute open at very high altitudes, not seconds before impact. I don't know if it would be possible to fix the parachute snapping off but I'll play around a bit and see what I can do.
  12. 1) Nope. I want to animate them eventually but I haven't had the time to learn how to animate. 2) Nope. They will be made functional once docking gets added into the game.
  13. I don't want these parts to rely on plugins (except the rover) so it's going to stay the way it is. Just imagine the little kerbal in the portrait is remote controlling the probe via quantum communications.
  14. It's a limitation with the editor so I on't think there's anything I can do to work around it besides building vertically. Nice station too.
  15. Try building it vertically, then removing it and attaching it horizontally.
  16. Yeah, both are added in much the same way. I haven't made the handrails functional yet because I might want to change the way they're put on modules, i.e. having separate handrail parts and allowing players to attach handrails in whichever configuration they prefer. I'm not sure if I'll do that yet but I'm considering it.

  20. I don't know when the probes will be released. In time for 0.17 though. Regarding the rover, it will just be a single part powered by the cart mod plugin.
  21. You probably need to have set up Google Drive with your google account, if you have one.
