  1. I've finally managed to dock in orbit! So, time to take Kerbals to another planet. Problem is, when I throttle up to escape Kerbin, disaster strikes… Here are the docked ships: And here is what happens when I throttle up: The clamp-o-tron docking ports don't provide as much rigidity as I assume/hoped. I like playing stock, so am hoping to not have to use any mods. Thanks for any help!
  2. Nope, not in the space center tracking station! I'll launch and land a less involved item and repeat the procedure. Here's hoping it sticks around!
  3. My Max Persistent Debris is set to unlimited and it had a PPD12 Cupola Module. Is that sufficient for command pod or probe core? I would assume so, but I could be wrong! Then again, I launched the same rover prior and had it crash on landing. It's still there! So I think that at least answers that question. Some of the boosters I used to launch the thing still appear in my debris, but the rover is not there. Not that I really care, it was my first rover and drove like junk. It would likely have been replaced with a more functional vehicle in the near future. I would just like to know that future items will not vanish after time designing, launching, landing and so on…
  4. I have landed a "base" on Minmus. It has, between the command pod and carrier, capacity for 7 Kerbals. I launched with 3. I then sent a subsequent ship to the base that included a rover. It had one pilot Kerbal. I landed the rover and drove to the base. I disembarked the Kerbal from the rover and put him into the carrier (yesterday). I just reloaded the game and went back to the base and the 4th Kerbal (along with the original 3) is there, but the rover has vanished! Can't see it in the tracking station and it's not at the base. Do I need to keep a Kerbal in it to have it remain in the game? Some other fault/error perhaps?
  5. Build first rover. Launch said rover (destination: Minmus). "Sky crane lander" functioning reasonably well. "Don't worry about that hill" says Joemon. It's a long walk to Minmus base, Joemon. Fortunately they have spare bunks.
  6. I'm new to Mac and could use some help updating. I downloaded .23 which is on my desktop as a folder with the launcher inside. It does not overwrite .22 so none of my saved games or ships transfer. I'm sure it's just a matter of copying some files. Which ones do I require? Thanks!
  7. I'm rather new to KSP and am already addicted. After spending some time playing around and learning the basics, I'm now no longer "reverting" missions and trying to set some goals. My first is to land unmanned (err, unKerballed) probes on every body in the system. The mun and minmus were easily achieved. I tried for Duna last night and am learning how to adjust my orbital inclinations, etc. However, one problem is that when I'm playing with the maneuver mechanism and trying to visualize how that will alter my orbit compared to my target, all of the planet orbits "get in the way" and make it difficult to discern my current orbit from my intended orbit from Duna's orbit. Is there a way to temporarily hide the orbits of the other planets? Thanks for the help!
