Actually, for me I\'ve found the best teachers are usually the oldest ones. I don\'t know why, but it just seems I get better grades and learn the material better with older teachers, and can also talk to them better.

DANGIT Why didn\'t I think of that! I was trying to stick nacelles into the wings using hardpoints, but doing that causes the wings to fall off.

There are two types of radiation, and you are thinking of the wrong one: The first is heat transmission by radiation, electromagnetic radiation. Essentially, all objects are emitters and absorbers of this radiation. As we absorb this radiation our atoms speed up(Heat). As you emit it your atoms lose heat energy. Good absorbers are good emitters. The only way this type of radiation can give you cancer is if the object emitting it on you is VERY, VERY, VEEERRYY hot, hotter than the sun(Hotter objects emit higher frequency electromagnetic radiation, AKA x-rays and gamma rays, but this doesn\'t happen normally) This means two things in space: 1. You don\'t need a medium to transfer heat, meaning the sun can heat you up. 2. You can cool down in space without anything to absorb the energy from you. 3. White is the best color to wear, because it is the worst absorber and emitter, meaning you cool down slowly and heat up slowly, staying at around the same temperature. The radiation you are thinking of is the particles emitted by radioactivity. These particles typically are: 1. Alpha particles, which consist of 2 protons and 2 neutrons, and move at 50% the speed of light. 2. Beta particles, which consist of something similar to electrons, and move at ~75% C 3. Gamma rays, which are very high energy electromagnetic waves(not usually emitted by substances) traveling at C. This can have adverse effects on DNA, especially gamma rays, giving you cancer if exposed to too much.

Well, considering how long it takes for stars to orbit around the center of the galaxy, why not just make them stationary? It won\'t be much different from if we had them orbit a supermassive black hole, because it would take ages on maximum timewarp to see them move even a noticeable distance relative to Kerbol. And if we are going to have warp drive, and have persistence, we don\'t really need to make it easier to navigate, especially if the closest star will be within 0.4 light years if the scale continues.

Apparently Notch is getting rid of the hard sci-fi .

Make a wish... and have it horribly corrupted!

Granted, but you can only corrupt your own I wish I had digital hiking boots to get up these steep learning curves faster. -
Question about texturing
Misterspork replied to Animal Mother's topic in KSP1 Modelling and Texturing Discussion
Wait, you have the modelling down already, right? You just want to make better textures? Well, here are a couple suggestions: GIMP: Basically free photoshop, big learning curve. Best for improving images rather than creating them, like Photoshop, but you can still make some pretty cool stuff from scratch. My avatar was made entirely in GIMP. paint.NET: Sort of a mix between Microsoft paint and GIMP, but you aren\'t going to make anything spectacular with this. Slight learning curve, but pretty simple. Good for making simple textures and then improving them with an image manipulation tool. -
Honestly, implementing a system where the camera determines movement would completely destroy attempts at landing, and all orbital maneuvers(Think about trying to turn pro/retrograde with this system, it would be HORRIBLE) and this system would only make things harder and enforce bad habits in new players, and eventually cause them to leave the game.

Granted, but it is a cursed form of KSP and IF YOU DIE IN THE GAME YOU DIE IN REAL LIFE. I wish people would use logic. -
Make a wish... and have it horribly corrupted!
Misterspork replied to vexx32's topic in Forum Games!
Granted, but I turn into a giant fish the size of Los Angeles and take over the world(While wearing an air-suit of course). I wish I was better at GIMP(digital art) -
Because I would like to make that red a bit smaller, and the green a bit bigger. 8) Sadly, expanding the green bit would probably expand the red bit into space.

Granted, but then no one cared to look at the thread. I wish it was .15 already. -
Four(I\'m not a brony, never even watched it) How do you discover all knowledge?

There are many countries spending a MUCH larger percent of their GDP into military than America. China isn\'t one, but America\'s spending isn\'t that massive really. And China still is dumping the second largest amount of money into military.

He only added that recently, people haven\'t noticed.

[v0.17] Damned Aerospace Version 1.5.3 + Crewtank
Misterspork replied to DYJ's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
It seems the offset origin is causing a lot of problems with short aircraft. I received a message from the time 0:00 that the prop 'crashed into the surface' while suspended several meters in the air. It also seems to be causing problems with nacelles in the wings, did this happen before? I remember being able to put those things in the wings. -
