Excellent. I hope squad shares your artistic vision for female kerbals as well.

Hey tortoise, nice mod! Something like this should really be stock, wet wings have real world applications and was something missing from the whole kerbal aerospace program experience.

Where do atmospheres end anyway? The wiki was extremely unhelpful and google is entirely perplexed about what I want.

So basically any rocket with the first stage having a maximum of 1500kN of thrust and a TWR over 1? What about the second stage? Like if I just barely crawl a kilometer into the sky on a mainsail, then I dump it and blast off with my much stronger second stage lifter?

Your rules makes this entirely unclear. Why don't you just say divided by? "1 over X" usually means "X + 1".

if I understand the scoring right, if I launch 50 kerbals and lose most of them I will win forever?

SSTM&B (Single Stage To Mun and Back)
RandomJeb replied to theend3r's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
Time: 13:03 = +2500 (Since you get 1 hour and 46 minutes taken off the clock, I gave myself those 3 minutes) Part Count: 39 = +3050 Back in time for dinner = +1000 Fuel Expended: -1135.77 (started lacking 220 oxidizer, see takeoff shot) Total: 5414.23 -

Rocket Car LFO Delivery Challenge
RandomJeb replied to HazelPine's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
I just named this Fuel Delivery Challenge 1. You can call it LiquidJeb. 40m/s * 126,438 = 5,057,520 Edit: No FAR. -
Simulated Attack on KSC

So if I just pull the RCS out of the cockpit, is it tweaked and then ready to go? -
Simulated Attack on KSC
RandomJeb replied to willwolvescry's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
Why does it have to be tweaked in some way? I have a lot of stock stuff that can do this, some modded stuff, none that are... tweaked? Maybe the modded stuff? Also would this be a plane? I can turn on infinite fuel if that counts as tweaking. -
1st Kerbal Space Photography Contest
RandomJeb replied to mangekyou-sama's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
Wow, that's really neat! -
Looking at the wiki page, I decided to take a bit of a different approach... Since I'd otherwise have to fly far away to get a nice eastward slope to crawl up... Still needs some tweaking, but I'll get there! First dozen launches never even made it up the ramp! And this is where I leave off for today Progress!

Kaber Toss - See how far you can throw a stick!

Oh... Not intact... My range just went way up! -
Kaber Toss - See how far you can throw a stick!
RandomJeb replied to shoveycat's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
Well I did something in the spirit of the competition, I suppose. Assuming I can't put boosters on the I-beam itself although there was no rule against that as far as I can tell. Also assume it has to remain intact, although that isn't stated either. First shot, 1.5km. I have no idea how many lines that is. -

And here's the latest Rocketrider craft, duna edition. True discovery requires some plasma burns on re-entry... -

Jebediah landing on the Mün with my first Rocketrider craft. That is the correct landing procedure and not just Jeb up to his old tricks... -
The MachingBird Challenge!
RandomJeb replied to TheHengeProphet's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
Made a few attempts at this, got so close to mach 7, might have to revisit this later. The plane is called Machingbird Challenger 4b -
[SHOWCASE] How Does Your Kerbal Drive To Work?
RandomJeb replied to josea74's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
A lot of my cars have a few mod parts that I haven't bothered updating for 0.23 so I'm just throwing in some shots I've taken previously. Sadly none of them shows any driving to the VAB, though one shows some parking at other facilities. First up, the war buggy. Kerbals love driving around in this thing. And yes that is a GAU-19 gatling gun designed to destroy their hearing. Tests have shown that pilots are a lot less nervous when they can't hear their booster stages exploding. That tank there is irrelevant, it's not used for personal transport. Next, the motorpsycho. Jebediah's favorite. With the insane thrust provided by the rocket engines, you can go both fast and in style. And take off. This is no longer on the market as they've only been able to sell 4 models. Jebediah is currently the only living kerbal who bought one... Warranty void if going over 10m/s (top speed: no idea, no one has survived full throttle) And finally a shot from the space program apartments parking lot at Mün City. From the left you have the Negatron 1 (stock, ion, ground only), Negatron Redux (not stock, ion, ground only), Tripsycho (much like the motorpsycho only stable and safer, with three wheels) and a rocket powered car that I frankly can't remember what's called. That is a really sweet VTOL-capable Mün car though. It can function on kerbin, but has extremely limited range. I suppose I should load up one of the stock ones and drive it to the VAB now. -
The Wrong Brothers - career mode done differently (pic heavy)
RandomJeb replied to katateochi's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
The oddity is a great craft. I love how you've used the lander engines, and it looks fantastic too! -
This video was nice. I really liked the combination of music and chatter.
-
Haha! I think his head is being pushed down by drag, the rest is just luck. But really awesome luck. I love this shot! I've noticed that when you subject your kerbals to a lot of force in those seats they can end up with some rather poor sitting postures.
-
Nice... Now I'll have to try to jam various crafts through that opening...

Thanks for the comments, guys!
