  1. From what he has said they will be taking this week to fix the bugs, so hopefully at the end of this one/early next week.
  2. Maybe it\'s because some people aren\'t giving them time to load by approaching low and fast?
  3. Maybe adding a booster stage to the inside to help get to orbit?
  4. When I approached I came to a dead stop pretty much 20km or so above the base and hovered my way down to it.
  5. Well, at around 200-500m is where I can begin to see crafts if they are large enough.
  6. From what I understand the bug is caused from a glitch that occurs when ships are loaded, and when they are, they are lloaded about 10m or so off the ground and crash. But, I never switch away from my craft while flying, I only used the \'M\' key.
  7. I landed on the Mun successfully and it appears nothing exploded. So, does it work out? As always, persistence file and .craft are attached.
  8. I have to go to the dentist and I\'m in the middle of my orbital burn. I\'ll be back in an hour or two and if anyone has landed by then could someone merge my file into it once I\'m done? (Into the stock save file though)
  9. Can I give mine one more quick go? I want to land my entire craft on there this time :/
  10. I heard that the Lunacy Mk3 has disappeared? If so, mind if I can cut in line and get another one up there? (intact) Oh and an idea you could do is have two bases. One stock and one mod/stock. And you would post both in the main thread and whenever people want to sign up for one they have to request saying something like: 'Request to be queued in the Mod Base' And vice versa. And when people post up the save file they have to say 'Mod Persistence File'
  11. No, it is all stock, f you want a mod parts Mun base please go to the roleplaying forum. I\'m sure they have one there.
  12. When you cannot load a modded part a small screen will pop up saying you cannot load 'blah blah blah' and you can\'t do anything from that screen.
  13. I\'m sorry, but I am pretty sure this is a purist colony.
  14. Alright guys, I finally got over to the base. But, not fully intact.... I manged to screw up my transfer orbit and had to wing-it a bit. when I was down at the Mun surface, it was down to the wire on terms of fuel. So close in fact, I ran out around 100m above. My last stage couldn\'t cut all the speed and I was only left with my Command Pod....500m away from the base. So, I did what any reasonable Kerbal would do and rolled the pod all the way there. (craft and what not attached to post) So...could you add me to the list again. I want to give this another go.
  15. Alright so could you set up a list of all who went and then me (I\'m currently attempting) then those who are next in line?
  16. Also, who\'s version do we go with, God\'s or mine? I\'m going to go ahead an use this save file, then we can give God another go.
  17. Since no one has tried the challenge yet, I might as well post my result. Apoapsis and Periapsis at an average of 82,705,836m Picture of rocket on the launch pad.
  18. Alright men, here\'s the challenge. We are going to test the affects of ultra-high orbit on or little test-subjects rocketeers. You must try and achieve the highest possible orbit you can above Kerbin, here are the requirements. Score will be found by the average of your orbits Rules. [li]You must include a picture of the original rocket. (although a documentary of the mission would be great)[/li] [li]You must only use stock parts, no exceptions.[/li] [li]Your apopapsis and periapsis must be within 500,000m of each other.[/li] [li]You must have both the periapsis and apoapsis in one picture (Two if debris blocks the view)[/li] [li]No leaving the Kerbin SOI.[/li] Secondary Challenge Oh no! It appears there was a malfunction while in orbit and your pod was decoupled from the rocket! We need to send a rocket and get those kerbals back or we could lose valuable scientific data! [li]Stock parts only[/li] [li]You must detach your original pod from the rest of your ship. (The one in high orbit)[/li] [li]You must send a rocket equiped to rendezvous with the lost pod.[/li] [li]You must return both crews to kerbin safely.[/li] [li]The crew in the lost pod must be returned to within sight of KSC [/li][li]Picture documentary must be included of rendezvous and the return.[/li] Challenge #1 Leaderboards 85,000,000m+ 80,000,000m+ DeadlyPear (82,705,836m) 70,000,000m+ 60,000,000m+ 50,000,000m+ Secondary Challenge Leaderboards 85,000,000m+ 80,000,000m+ 70,000,000m+ 60,000,000m+ 50,000,000m+ (higher altitudes will be added when someone gets above the highest)
  19. Dammit man, I\'m going to beat you at this. Hopefully with stock parts, but don\'t hold me to that.
  20. Come on people, we shouldn\'t be making a gigantic debris field around Kerbin. WE SHOULD BE MAKING ONE AROUND THE MUN
  21. This challenge has pretty much already been made. http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=3008.0
  22. I understand that heating effects have been added in v0.14. It may no longer be possible to get within 3.4 million km of Kerbol. But it was possible in v0.13. Spoiler 1: I cannot thank you enough for this, I tried it out and it worked ANd it reduces the previous mission time by 2/3rd\'s! (for the most part, my apoapsis was a bit too low) Spoiler 2: It is still very possible, I wish I took a picture. But anyway, time to start the recording once I get into the stupid orbit.
