how on kerbin did you get that into orbit?
-
The story was alright, and don't expect much from a scientific accuracy standpoint. But the visuals were jaw-dropping and gorgeous, especially because I saw it in an Imax 3D Theatre!
-
I would prefer the satellites actually be prebuilt for simple money-gaining operations, but for the more open-ended/important missions, you get to use your entire creative power. You would still need to design the launcher for the prefab sats. Also, keep those mission-satellites in the same category as normal ones, I like to see all of my past missions orbit around.

Did I finally meet the kraken?
makinyashikino replied to Nepos's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Yeah, that happens to me on launch sometimes, especially with a high TWR launcher and a very narrow decoupler connecting the launcher stage and the orbital insertion stage, you can often remedy it by lowering or cutting throttle if you notice the stages flying into each other! -
Asteroid gravity
makinyashikino replied to Explorator's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I wonder with KAS if we could attach ladders and such to the asteroid directly, so we could "Walk" on them? -
Minmus slippery rovers?
makinyashikino replied to makinyashikino's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Don't worry, it has two 2.5 metre Reaction wheels in case it starts to flip. It also has a LV-909 on the bottom that I used to land it, so I could use that to send it the 15km I was originally going to use Mechjeb's Rover autopilot for. Thanks all of you for the help! -
I sent a fuel rover to Minmus to ferry fuel from my Kethane base to my Ore one, except the rover seems to take a couple minutes to slow down to a stop. It was empty when I tried to stop it, so it didn't have much intertia. Is it because of the low gravity or is it because Minmus is icy. Pic related, it's the rover connected to the base

What is the least useful non-structural part?
makinyashikino replied to makinyashikino's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I didn't say inter-planetary, I made a parallel to using a mainsail as something that is not it's intended purpose, I realise that it is a landing engine, but there are much better ones to use than that. -
Odd... A Kerbin... No Helment.... Outside on Kerbin?
makinyashikino replied to Nightstar's topic in KSP1 Discussion
They are "controlling" the flag. Not the kerbal. -
What is the least useful non-structural part?
makinyashikino replied to makinyashikino's topic in KSP1 Discussion
It's more useful than a lot of parts, it can clean experiments and increase transmission value. If you really want to call science parts useless, call the transmitters useless, they are all functionally the same except for power usage and transmission time, and that really doesn't matter at all. Drag really doesn't mean anything unless FAR is installed, but I really like the idea of putting a Mk I in-front of an inline. -
How do we make resources work?
makinyashikino replied to tntristan12's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I think that graph is brilliant! I really like your ideas. -
Post in what order you guys would want the following features in the game on a scale of 1 being most wanted 6 being least. Features: -Money/Economy -Better Aerodynamics -Resources -Multiplayer -Better IVA's -Better Performance For me it would be 1.Money/Economy 2.Better Performance 3.Resources 4.Better Aerodynamics 5.Better IVA's 6.Multiplayer

What is the least useful non-structural part?
makinyashikino replied to makinyashikino's topic in KSP1 Discussion
They should just get it over with and add a flippin' IVA for it, It's the only cockpit that doesn't have one, and frankly the other Cockpits IVA is cool, I would bet that this one would be too. -
Question about Remotetech?

Wow Thanks guys, you're really helpful! -
What is the least useful non-structural part?
makinyashikino replied to makinyashikino's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I like the ROUND-8's better because they hold almost twice the fuel, at the cost of some... ascetics. -
Remotetech really confuses me, in the way of how satellites communicate with other, and their linkages, so if anyone is kind enough to answer my questions, that would be much appreciated. 1. I made a diagram to show my confusion(I cannot draw for my life though) I have an SS-1(I think that's what it's called, the Duna dish one.) on the Duna probe, and the lesser range Mun dishes on the comms sat. I also have a small vehicle at the KSC with the Long range dish, the same as the one on the Duna probe. Even though there is a connection with both the commsat and the ground vehicle, It still says no connection on the probe. Any reason why, or at least an explanation of the mechanics? 2. What is the difference at pointing a sat at KSC or at Kerbin itself, if so, what are the benefits? Thank you.
-
If the debris didn't get deleted, you'd have quite a lot more debris surrounding KSC, especially if you asparagus stage. Also, you if you left debris in a 40,000,000km x 30km orbit, you would be driven insane because it would kick you out of time-warp in order to perform the physics. Unless the debris just passes through like when you high-warp through a planet.

They're decent if you use them with the Ant engine, but that's only for space Probes. -
Kerbal rotates when planting flag?
makinyashikino replied to WhiteWeasel's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Yeah, it's rather inconvenient, I think it has to match some sort of orientation regardless of which way the Kerbal faces, but I could be wrong. -
Never used one, never will. The Kerbals are the one who built it out of duct-tape and Papier-mâché, they knew what they were signed up for!

What is the least useful non-structural part?
makinyashikino replied to makinyashikino's topic in KSP1 Discussion
It's just a rigid winglet, incase you want something to point straight up. It's more of a blast to the past really.
