I have never used this winglet and I literally cannot think of any purpose it would have.
It's just a rigid winglet, incase you want something to point straight up. It's more of a blast to the past really.
-
I like the whole, no "reusable Nuclear engine" thing. It makes reliance on nuclear engines much more difficult.
-
Too many parts on the command, aerodynamic, and utility tabs are tempting (eg: the Probodyne QBE, OKTO, Engine nacelle, covered solar panels...)
There is literally no purpose to use the covered solar panels, they are just dead weight.
-
What if the universe is just a computer simulation, and we are just little strings of code. Maybe one day when we advance computers enough, we could make another universe-simulating computer. And all of existence is a never-ending computer simulation, relative time getting slower and slower, as you go down through the universal simulational scale, eventually leading into the universal singularity.

Does Krags planet factory mod have science? I don't have it installed on my current version, it's in my downloads folder somewhere, but can anyone tell me if Krags planet factory Planets actually have science or not.
-
I'm game. I like this idea, normally I dont use AlienFX but I would for this!
-
Ooooh I like the idea of favouriting parts, It's annoying especially with mods like B9 with like 6 pages of structural parts, when all I want is a decoupler.
-
this useless piece of ...tech... has never been used by my space agency. The much hated LV-1 Liguid fuel engine. 1.5 thrust almost no thrust and a pain in the ass to mount non radial.
I like it for satellites, I mean the radial is easier to mount, but this looks better in my opinion if there is a unused in-line surface.
-
And the radial engine is extremely useful for three reasons:
1> It's a 120kN engine for 0.9 tons, which is not the worst ratio.
2> It's got great thrust vectoring (3 degrees)
3> You can mount it anywhere
Yeah it has good Thrust, but the ISP on it is TRASH, it's like using a mainsail for interplanetary travel, it's incredibly inefficient. And the vectoring really only matters if you are building big, but at that point you would use the poodle, or if you are patient, an LV-N.
-
I used to use them as well, but that was before I realised what a pile of trash they were, the only positive they have is that they can gimbal.
-
It looks REALLY cartooney, not that that's bad in games, but I'm glad with the art direction as of now!
-
What Part in KSP is the worst or the most useless? I feel like the most common answer would be a structural part, like the Radial Engine Body or most of the adapters. But what I want to hear is what non-structural part do you think is the most pointless? I personally think that it's either the Place-Anywhere 7 Linear RCS port or the Rockomax Mark 55 Radial Mount Liquid Engine

I love debris, just watching old stages serve as a monument to the Kerbal's Exploration into the final frontier. Evidence of my past missions there forever, either drifting through deep space or on another celestial body. I just wish it didn't lag so much, I would make clouds of debris around Kerbin, creating a kessler nightmare.
But I whack a kerball'd a command pod coated with batteries once and made a mass of batteries drifting through space, but that's it.
-
Just put another satellite in a retrograde orbit to the first one, that way you destroy both satellites with about 4km/s relative velocity.
-
This thread is for your biggest, most insane,Whackjob-esque, strutted-to-hell-and-back creations. Post your monstrosities that really don't need that many SRB's but do, because you can! Post your pictures, and your stories!
This is mine, when I first started playing KSP again, I built the most overenginnered massive ridiculous looking rockets, because I had forgotten about asparagus staging, I called this one, the Trident.
I'm sure it palls in comparison to what you guys have though!

I accidentally caused a Kerbal to breakdance while on EVA, I didn't know Kerbals could strech like that!
-
I feel that multiplayer is just a tacked-on feature in most games now, and the logistics for it are complicated and annoying, the synchronization needed for maintaining the same universe between players is annoying, the already poor performance of KSP tanks when I go within 2.5 km of another player(That bit might just be my computer). And if it were added, then it should be after the full game is released. Resources could add a ton more content, with bases becoming more viable, we might get an actual purpose for infrastructure. Multiplayer doesn't add much but the ability to dock to your friends spacecraft, whoopee. Resources adds more long term goals, and has real content, instead of fluff.
-
What is the most wacky, ridiculous situation you have ever put/gotten your Kerbals in? Accidentally EVA'd during a Joolian Aerobrake? Fallen off of a ladder and exploded? Share your stories here!
Here's my Kerbal, who spontaneously broke while EVA close to Kerbol.

This might be my best fail ever! Billy-Bobree Kerman, you should never have made that left turn at Albuquerque!
I think the bigger fail is using a skipper to land on Duna!
But seriously, the skipper has a terrible fuel efficiency, Use either multiple LV-909's or an LV-45. And with parachutes, you don't really need an engine to slow down.

-SNIP-
Load and launch the AEIA Mk8.
[Processor Melting Intensifies]
-
Maybe if you add a bigger counterweight? It looks like the weight of the rocket is pulling it, and I don't think one 360 litre tank will suffice.

I'm just going to throw this out there, I've suggested it before but here it is anyway.
Currently your position in the game is a coordinate location above a surface X,Y,Z. So... I say just render players at that location in all games and ignore the location of that planet/moon/thing. This means it might be day in my game and night in yours, and the planet might be in a different place in both our games. I'm saying that just doesn't matter and I will show why I think so below. Lastly don't physically render players that are in any form of warp at all, maybe on the map if you want.
"But that means I can't follow another player while they transfer burn" Nope, but unless your craft was identical you couldn't anyway. It would be extremely difficult to do if you tried, and that's just a sacrifice that needs to be made.
"But people would pop in and out of existence" Isn't that the way the current mod works...? I don't actually know. Again that's just weirdness that has to happen to not have a programming nightmare.
"But people would arrive at planets coming in from a weird incorrect angle because the planets are in different places and facing different directions in each players game." Yep, I don't think that matters all that much.
"But someone in solar orbit could look like they are inside a planet in my games map(and other versions of this etc...)" Could, but it would be very hard to do, like hitting a bullet with a smaller bullet in mars orbit fired from earths surface hard.
"But someone in solar orbit could fly though a planet and hit me" If you can do this then you are a wizard and your letter inviting you to Hogwarts is in the mail, you should start packing. Also why physically render anyone that is not in you SOI anyway.
Any thing else I'm missing...? Beuller?
You essentially just described KLF Plugin.

KSP really doesn't need Multiplayer, the timewarp system makes it too complicated and annoying, what with everyone having to sync due to a 5 second timewarp. It's fine as a mod, doesn't need the already strained efforts of Squad to work out the numerous kinks in a multiplayer system.

Step One: Strap Kerbal to rocket.
Step Two: Strap More rockets to first Rocket.
Step Three: Rocket Rocket Rocket
Step Four: Pray that the rocket doesn't explode.
Step Five: Land on Island.
But seriously, Jets are the way to go, as they are pretty much facing the island runway anyway, if you want to land, just deploy parachutes on the jet once you fly over, make sure the engines are off first though!
Are escape towers needed?

Never used one, never will. The Kerbals are the one who built it out of duct-tape and Papier-mâché, they knew what they were signed up for!
