  1. I take a framerate hit with all station parts from this pack, modules or ports. I have a crappy computer to play on (Dell laptop, i7, integrated graphics), but there is a more pronounced performance hit when using this pack's parts compared to those of other packs.
  2. Adding the antennas somewhat hampers the versatility of the panels, so I'd lean towards leaving them out. Though, the new folding method is awesome!
  3. Congratulations on the little bun, and if there's anything I can do with helping to keep Tantares up and running, let me know! It's getting boring over here recovering from my surgery! Regarding retextures, PPTS isn't the best for a CARV retexture because the capsule shapes are actually very different, unfortunately. Meanwhile, a nice Shenzou might be a good idea...
  4. Once PPTS comes out, I'll get to work on it! Sorry for vanishing, I've been sucked in by Mass Effect these past few weeks. Getting my tonsils out soon so that'll be plenty of time for me to sit down and retexture all the things! Edit: oh wait its released... Beale, pm me the .psd file and I'll get on that after Alan Shepard finishes saving the galaxy. Again.
  5. Wow, so much new stuff! Once I finish Mass Effect 1-3, I'll be returning and retexturing more! But I'm finishing the trilogy first.
  6. Redownload and reinstall TMA and Tantares (hint: it's in the post you quoted), because if you're getting that error your TMA install is not up to date. That last upload I released fixed a typo in the configs (the MODEL still referenced the stock Tantares parts, not the TMA folders). MM and firespitter are used mainly for the fairings.
  7. As of right now, TMA does not have RPM support, nor do I plan to add it in the near future. Sorry. TMA uses the base Tantares internals, but that's all I know about RPM.

  9. The link has been changed, I believe! The European parts aren't done yet. EDIT: Did some more work today, focusing on making yet another Soyuz retexture, this time one that hopefully will fit better with stock Tantares. Once Beale releases his Shenzou OM, I'll most likely get to work on a retexture for that as well!
  10. Did you delete Tantares, redownload it, redownload and reinstall Firespitter and ModuleManager. Click on the most recent link I posted to the TMA pack, download it again, reinstall that. I'll double check the configs but I think it might be something with how you installed it because I fixed that problem already. Remember, this requires Tantares to be installed. EDIT: I'm 90% sure that you have the old bugged version of TMA installed. Do these exact steps: 1) Delete your Tantares folder in Gamedata. 2) Redownload Tantares. Make sure it's the newest version. 3) Reinstall Tantares. 4) Install Firespitter and ModuleManager. Links are in the ReadMe inside the TMA download. 5) Download Tantares TMA again from the link in this post. 6) Reinstall Tantares TMA. The issue you are describing is the exact one I fixed with TMA 0.3.6, so you must not be using the most recent version. Here is the Dropbox link.
  11. Soon And yes, it's a bug because currently there isn't a texture for that in Tantares. Beale is working on an update.

After that first part, I actually liked what I had come up with, so I made a few more in that style, in addition to retexturing the Alnair capsule and Polaris heatshield for use as a new transport craft; Minotaur. I got this idea because my save has gradually morphed into a joint Roscosmos-ESA exploration program, and decided some Russian-made, ESA-upgraded station hardware was in order. As far as I've seen, these parts still match very well with the stock Tantares parts, so you can have a mix of these and base Salyut parts and still have a nice looking station. The name and design come from E of Pi's alternate history, which has been going for nearly 4 years!
  13. Remove the generator module from the config. I think Beale made the fix and reuploaded it.
  14. It will not show up on logs. It's an error that appears when your root part uses MODEL [ ] and has a RescaleFactor other than 1. Upon reloading, it resets to a rescaleFactor of 1, and the visible model shrinks. The fix is this. Include the lines scale= 1.25,1.25,1.25 inside the MODEL brackets, multiply all node positions by 1.25, and include the line rescaleFactor=1.0 in the file as well.
  15. I started working on a little something tonight. Not sure where it's going to take me, but I decided to revisit my old decision to add some variety to the gray Salyut parts, this time with a bit more skill texturing. I like it, though! Also, a teaser of something big I'm building in orbit with a lot of Tantares parts. It's nice to be actually playing KSP for once, rather than mucking around not having any sort of goal. What exactly isn't working? EDIT: I found it. Jeez, that's a stupid mistake on my part. Didn't change the part paths from Parts/SOYUZ to Parts/SOYUZ_TMA and PROGRESS_TMA. Fixed now! Redownload, and remember to have ModuleManager and Firespitter installed as well! Tantares TMA 0.3.6
  16. It's a rescaling bug inherent to Squad parts. I'm on mobile now, but I'll post a tutorial to fix it shortly.

  19. I'd assume a cargo-carrying part (monoprop, fuel, ore, life support) with maybe 1-2 crew capacity?
  20. As of now, PPTS needs a rebalance. Existing Tantares parts can be mucked around with to make a good PPTS, so with Beale's permission I can release some configs and keep the awesomeness rolling.

Looks great Yeah, I'll still texture, and I do have TMA textures more or less done, but its partially laziness, rage at how they still look "meh", the fact that I'm actually no longer using TMA, and the fact that I actually want to play KSP now, rather than mod and debug! Still in 0.90, but almost every mod I use has been updated so I'll be switching over at long last soon. Meh, I'll throw the TMA stuff out there sometime today or tomorrow. Did anyone actually use it, and anyone have any pointers?
  22. TMA is broken for the newest Tantares release. I have yet to update it. Sorry! I've also kinda stopped using TMA, since it doesn't jive too well with the rest of Tantares...
  23. The tough thing about LEK (the Energia lander, actually launched on Vulkan, basically Energia on steroids) is that it doesn't rendezvous in Kerbin orbit. The crew module is two part, an outer shell as a habitat for the lander crew going to the lunar base on the surface, and an inner 3-man command pod for reentry. When it reenters, the outer shell burns away, leaving only the inner descent module. That might be tough to pull off. I do it with part clipping.
  24. Only a brief post because it's late here, but I got a solid TMA texture. Only thing is that for some reason the alpha channel really only shows when it's .tga, not .dds. I still want to tweak it some more, but TMA should be ready shortly!
  25. In the interim, I can try and balance PPTS. Combine it with the Fuji heatshield, some sort of 2.5m decoupler, a 2.5-1.875m adapter from the Salyut or TKS parts, and a tweakscaled Tantares Service Module (or if you're feeling dangerous, a rescaled one using config edits), and the solar panels of your choice can give a decent PPTS. Using the 1.25m APAS or TKS probe (1.25m one) as a docking port, and you're set. EDIT: Regarding Tantares TMA, it still doesn't look good at all... I'm not sure why. Tried upping the texture resolution to no avail. So for now I'm not going to go nuts over the texturing and just enjoy and play KSP for the first time in a while.
