  1. My landing gear keep breaking because they are over stressed even when i come down at .5m/s. I cant tell if this is a bug in the game or if this is a new adjustment setting in ksp. Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  2. I'd assumed spring was obvious and damper was like a dashpot, controlling movement attenuation, but that's clearly not the case as zero spring and max damper causes this little thing (here attempting minimum speed flight) to leap violently into the air in a backflip and explode: Since all manner of other craft use the suspension sub-system now, I would know just what the two values actually do, as I would expect weak a spring high damper configuration to bottom out and sit there pathetically, rather than do an acrobatic pirouette right off the handle.
  3. My configuration is: Desktop computer: Intel Core i5 3.2 GHz, 8 GB RAM, no discrete graphics card OS: Windows 7 x64 KSP: 1.1.2 build 1260 x64 DirectX (the game crashes with OpenGL key) The problem is when I set the Render quality parameter to at least Simple (even when all the other graphics parameters are minimal), the performance drops significantly (down to 4 fps). This happens only if there is some terrain in the frame. When it’s the vessel and the sky only, the performance is OK. I’ve experienced nothing similar in 1.0.5. When I set Render quality to Fast, everything performs normally. But I need at least Good to see cast shadows. Is there a solution?
  4. I'm running 64-bit KSP on Linux. I had the game running on 1.1.1 without much trouble. I tried using the patcher, which left me with a binary which didn't do much of anything. So I backed up my save persistent.sfs file, wiped my install directory, did a fresh extraction of KSP and restored my save file. Now when I go to start I'm told that my save file is "Incompatible with this version of KSP". This doesn't make sense to me. If 1.0.5 ->1.1.0 had broken, I could understand. This was a minor patch release. From my player.log: No save file found for path: /home/garrett/KSP_linux/KSP_Data/../saves/default/persistent.sfs (Filename: /home/builduser/buildslave/unity/build/artifacts/generated/common/runtime/UnityEngineDebugBindings.gen.cpp Line: 64) NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object at SaveUpgradePipeline.NodeUtil.GetCfgVersion (.ConfigNode n, LoadContext loadContext) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at KSPUpgradePipeline.Process (.ConfigNode n, System.String saveName, LoadContext loadContext, .Callback`1 onSucceed, .Callback`2 onFail) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at MainMenu.OnLoadDialogFinished (System.String save) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at LoadGameDialog.ConfirmLoadGame () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at LoadGameDialog+^H^O.^C (Boolean ^A) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at DialogGUIToggleButton.<Create>m__82D (Boolean b) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at UnityEngine.Events.InvokableCall`1[System.Boolean].Invoke (System.Object[] args) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at UnityEngine.Events.InvokableCallList.Invoke (System.Object[] parameters) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at UnityEngine.Events.UnityEventBase.Invoke (System.Object[] parameters) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at UnityEngine.Events.UnityEvent`1[System.Boolean].Invoke (Boolean arg0) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at UnityEngine.UI.Toggle.Set (Boolean value, Boolean sendCallback) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at UnityEngine.UI.Toggle.Set (Boolean value) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at UnityEngine.UI.Toggle.set_isOn (Boolean value) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at UnityEngine.UI.Toggle.InternalToggle () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at UnityEngine.UI.Toggle.OnPointerClick (UnityEngine.EventSystems.PointerEventData eventData) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at UnityEngine.EventSystems.ExecuteEvents.Execute (IPointerClickHandler handler, UnityEngine.EventSystems.BaseEventData eventData) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at UnityEngine.EventSystems.ExecuteEvents.Execute[IPointerClickHandler] (UnityEngine.GameObject target, UnityEngine.EventSystems.BaseEventData eventData, UnityEngine.EventSystems.EventFunction`1 functor) [0x00000] in <filename unknown$ UnityEngine.Debug:Internal_LogException(Exception, Object) UnityEngine.Debug:LogException(Exception) UnityEngine.EventSystems.ExecuteEvents:Execute(GameObject, BaseEventData, EventFunction`1) UnityEngine.EventSystems.StandaloneInputModule:ProcessMousePress(MouseButtonEventData) UnityEngine.EventSystems.StandaloneInputModule:ProcessMouseEvent(Int32) UnityEngine.EventSystems.StandaloneInputModule:ProcessMouseEvent() UnityEngine.EventSystems.StandaloneInputModule:Process() UnityEngine.EventSystems.EventSystem:Update() (Filename: Line: -1)
  5. Now in 1.1.2 I can use the claw with 64bit ksp, partly. When I click the button FREE PIVOT, the button was changed to LOCK PIVOT, but the status is still LOCKED, and nothing really happened. Then I switch to the 32bit version, it does't work as well. Then I created&launched a totally new vehicle to test it, but still doesn't work. windows 10 10586, x64&x86, steam
  6. Just a simple, short cinematic looking back at Kerbin at the start of a long interplanetary journey. Obviously set to Hans Zimmer. EVE+SVE+Scatterer+Endraxial's
  7. Sorry for the weird title but I didn't know how to summarize the problem. I have many vessels that use the Big-S Delta wing since 0.9 or so. Just to make sure It's not an update issue I rebuild them from scratch. So here's the thing: They work perfectly. Example my SSTO here: I can fly it into space, save, reload, switch to other craft etc. But when I refuel this plane it explodes the next time I reload the save file. Let me guess: Invisible struts on the gear? Because here's the fun part: If I edit the save file and remove all fuel from the wings and the Mk1 liquid tanks on the wings I can load the vessel. It wobbles a bit but it doesn't explode. I can then dock to my space station, refuel it and fly on. As long as I don't change the vessel it works like a charm.
  8. - Can't change vessel name that I have launched in space center after installation 1.1.2. But somehow can change the obj that I need to rescue from a quest. - It will be great if the game has 16:9 resolution setting that are less than 1920x1080. - Show only MNV ships in space center feature. Thanks for your great work. I really love this game.
