My craft in Era's, the next era will be the era of replica's I assume. The early replica era: At the beginning I was obsessed with developing an He-162 in the game, and soon realized such complex shapes are not possible in real scale without huge part counts, and at the time I only had a 2 core pentium @2.6ghz. I'd say I did a pretty good job. Moving on to boats and sci-fi replica's, I made my first boat & SSTO (with heavy part clipping and config editing) Moving on to other random craft: The stock era: All craft on KerbalX here: https://kerbalx.com/He_162/craft Aircraft: I had decided to learn by trial and error how to best create aircraft with custom cockpits, and neat airframe designs. The He- series: The Rk- series: Rockets: I'll just be documenting my quest to highest tonnage to orbit in stock KSP: Replica craft:

Hey guys, I just had an interesting thought recently. I have tried to make crafts that use angled panels before in order to give it a sleek polygon aesthetic (google F-117 for reference). My problem with this has been that the structural panels in KSP and only square and the only other way to get other shapes is with wings. When I try to angle these wing panels to get the shapes I want, the CoL gets totally screwed up. This mod will be starting simple and may or may not get more advanced as it goes. If anyone is able to offer expertise in the realm of modeling and texturing, I would very much appreciate the help. As of right now, I will only be duplicating the existing wing panels and either reducing or eliminating their lift and probably making other tweaks. Until I can get texture help, they will use the same stock skins. My modding experience is also quite limited. In the past, all that I have done in making my own mods is making copies of stock parts with new stats. I have made the "Potential Missile" part and the "Fighter Cockpit" part (buffed versions of the seperatron and Mk.1 Inline cockpit, respectively).

Hey! I noticed that somewhere along the line of 1.2 and it's many patches (before and after), the Obnoxious midnight birdsong around the Space Centre issue has been resolved by the addition of some very tasteful and polite crickets. Props to developers for this small immersive change, don't know if they spotted my previous suggestion. Any other small annoyances like these, feel free to post below.

Hi all, I've been recently attempting to build a reusable NERV-driven interplanetary spacecraft in sandbox mode, but I've been having trouble recently. I've been playing KSP since 0.22 and I'd like to think I'm at least decent at building rockets, but I can't seem to figure out how to make my spacecraft look aesthetically pleasing while also using only liquid fuel. I'm going for the sort of aesthetic one finds in actual NASA design docs and really hard sci-fi stuff, like the ships listed here. I'd really prefer not to install mods (mostly because setting up CKAN on OSX is a huge pain in the neck), so I've been fiddling with the stock LF tanks. The closest I got was stacking a bunch of MK1 tanks on top of each other and sticking them on the side of the Kerbodyne SRB (solid boosters made really sturdy structural elements when they're drained of fuel) with six-way symmetry turned on, but that assembly proved to be quite unstable even after reinforcing the whole assembly with struts, and everything I design with the MK3 parts ends up looking somewhat boring for my tastes. :/ Any suggestions?

I freely admit I like a bit of eye candy. No matter how many mods I install, the frame rate won't go below 60fps even with my old GPU. So I'm looking to pimp it up some more. I wondered what other people are using. Here's my list: Environmental Visual Enhancements Endraxial's Planets and Moons KSP Real Skybox Astronomers Visual Pack Interstellar V2 Planetshine Distant Object Enhancement WindowShine CollisionFX Engine Lighting Scatterer (with waves disabled, too buggy so far)
