  1. Wherein I describe the (simplified -- and entirely imaginative/fictional) procedures used by Kerbals to make instrument approaches under Instrument Meteorological Conditions (i.e. in clouds). Once everyone has "the hang" of how this thread goes, anyone is welcome to contribute. (I may or may not list your approach in the Approach Index; e.g. if it is a duplicate for a destination.) Simulating IMC in KSP: Point your Flight View camera directly upward for a view of the belly of your aircraft. Questions?? Note that flying outbound from a fix, some procedures will use the distance from that fix and, in stock KSP, that will be effected by pointing the camera rearward and using [F4] to activate target markers in the Flight View, thus displaying the distance back to the fix -- but without giving sufficient clues for visual flight. It is actually recommended to fly a procedure once in VMC (Visual Meteorological Conditions) to either familiarize oneself with the particular procedure, or perhaps once only just to see how a type of approach works... 2. Hello everybody, My problem is, that I want to make a space station around the Kerbin. I have separated the station to 9 parts, what i need to launch. I have 2 more parts and i don't know why, the eights (8) part I launched and when i'm approaching the station at 200 meters the station destorys itself completly. The station is with persistent rotaion oriented with radial in, to Kerbin. I'm controlling the station with a standard coupola, i control from here. So when i approach it, the station I don't know, possibly to normal or antinormal orienting instant itself and after that it's collapsing to little parts. I tried to switch the controlling module, but it doesn't worked. I tried to disable autostruts, it doesn't worked, i tried to disable the SAS, it doesn't worked, i tried to disable the Persistent Rotation mod, it doesn't worked (Before this I never had problems with the persistent rotation mod, and I think, that now not this is the problem too). I tried to enable in the cheat menu (alt+F12) these unbreakable joints, unlimited heat resistence and i dont know what yet (the first 3 things not including the gravity), but it doesn't worked too. Oh yeah, and when I switch to the station it happens this thing too with it. Only in warp I can make the switch without destroying itself, and when I turn off the warp, it destroys itself too. I don't know how to fix this, but please help me guys, because I worked on this station many hours and days. Thanks! :) And guys so sorry for my bad english, i tried the best to be understandable! :)
  3. I'm very new to this game, only been playing a few days. My proudest achievement so far is landing an unmanned probe on the Mun and returning it to Kerbin. On this mission, I am attempting to land a manned probe on Minmus, I escaped Kerbin with no problems and fixed my ascension/descension nodes on the way there. However, I overshot one of my maneuvers by a tiny bit and ended up coming up to Minmus on a very strange angle. Whenever I try and create a new Maneuver to get into orbit around Minmus, my new orbit always appears out of place or not around Minmus. And at one point if I try dragging the retrograde vector any further the maneuver node starts glitching and jumping rapidly. I'd like to ask how you would recommend I get into orbit around Minmus in this situation. For imgur images -- The first Image shows my approach towards Minmus and my fuel resources. I'm using a Terrier engine with 3 small fuel tanks. The second image shows what happens whenever I try to make a maneuver into orbit. This happens all along my flight path, even at the pariapsis and around Minmus. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!
