Hi! I decided to do this challenge because I lost Val in an eve rover accident a day ago (don't worry, just Missing in action, but Jeb, her husband doesn't know that she is missing yet ) so, I decided to challenge you to return from Eve in the smallest spaceraft as possible. The rules are the next: The spacecraft must arrive to Eve without cheat menu (else, you're not allowed to compete) 1.1. You must record a video of ur whole mission, from the VAB to Eve, and then back to Kerbin to prove you got this criteria Your spacecraft must not only be the smallest possible, but also the lightest possible. The spacecraft must be Manned (but with kerbals, not with humans) You must get back to kerbin with a singe launch! (Don't rescue your Kerbal(s) or else u will get unqualified) You must LAND on Eve, else you will be unqualified You get 4 extra points by landing on Gilly before/after landing on Eve Mods and expansion DLC are forbidden If there's a tie, I'll judge by number of parts of your ship

You have heard of the Solid Fuel challenge right? Where you only use Solid Fuel Rocket Boosters to reach a certain destination right? I am pretty sure you have. And if you did not, search it up. It is a pretty cool challenge and people come up with some impressive stuff. But you clicked on this thread because you wanted to see the Monopropellant Challenge! I know it's a weird thing and it usually doesn't come to mind for most people (I think). Monopropellant is a type of fuel in Kerbal Space Program. It is generally known as fuel for RCS engines. Most RCS engines use monopropellant as their fuel source (except for the Vernor Engine because that uses Liquid Fuel and Oxidizer). In the Monopropellant Challenge you may only use Monopropellant as your fuel. You cannot use Liquid Fuel, Oxidizer, Intake Air, Xenon Gas, or Solid Fuel. As all of these can give you thrust. I will allow Electric Charge. For reaction wheels to function they need Electric Change to operate. But wait a minute Dr. Kerbal! There's a loophole! People could use Ion engines as they use Electric Charge. Well, that loophole has been debunked. Ion engines require Electric Charge and Xenon Gas to function. So, people can't use ion engines. Well what about Kraken Drive? Huh?! Another loophole Dr. Kerbal! Well. For this challenge I have set rules so this challenge stays true to the name. I will not allow Kraken Drives, Liquid Fuel, Oxidizer, Intake Air, Xenon Gas, Solid Fuel, and other fuel sources and parts from mods. Now we have gone over the basics of this challenge I think it's appropriate to list a score board. As certain planets/moons are harder to leave than others. Eve is harder to leave than Minmus. And the Mun is easier to get to than Eeloo. So I have set up a scoreboard key and rules to make the challenge fair. Scoreboard Point Chart: Use this to tell how many points you earn. Planet/Moon/Celestial Body Fly-by Orbit Landing Return Moho 40 45 50 200 Eve 30 35 50 1000 Gilly 35 36 15 150 Kerbin 15 10 5 0 Mun 15 20 25 30 Minmus 15 21 20 30 Duna 30 35 40 50 Ike 31 36 40 55 Dres 40 45 50 60 Jool 60 70 1000 5000 Laythe 70 75 80 100 Vall 65 70 75 95 Tylo 80 85 300 180 Bop 75 77 79 89 Pol 76 79 83 89 Eeloo 90 95 100 100 Near Kerbin Asteroids (NKA) 20 N/A 30 45 Dresstroid 80 N/A 85 90 Comets 85 N/A 90 100 Rules: You may not use Kraken Drives You can not use fuel resources such as Liquid Fuel, Oxidizer, Intake Air, Xenon Gas, and Solid Fuel No part mods suchs as Near Future or Far Future No planet mods such as Beyond Home and Outer Planets Mod You may only use Monopropellant as your fuel source No mods that can affect your craft like Hyper Edit No cheats should be enabled All game settings should be at default settings You can either do a probes or manned mission. This will not affect your total amount of points you receive. Don't use any exploits such as the KAL Controller exploit Admission Guide: In this part the challenge guide book-ish thing. This part will explain to you how to submit your challenge in the correct way so I can recognize it quickly. First lit how many points you scored by using the chart above. Let's say that you went to the Mun and you landed there. You would earn 25 points. But let's say that you returned. Then you would earn 30 points instead. The point is that if you didina flyby, orbit, landing, or return mission you would count these points. However let's say I landed on the Mun and landed on Minmus and returned. I would add the landing (25) for the Mun and add the return mission from Minmus (30) in total you would have 55 points. Admission Example: List What you did: Jool Landing, Eeloo Fly-By, and Laythe Return Total Amount of Points: 5190 points Game Version: 5.9.9 Proof of Completion: (Show or link multiple images or videos of your mission here) Date: 12/31/1800 Username: @THISUSERDOESNOTEXIST Admission Form: List What you did: Total Amount of Points: Game Version: Proof of Completion: Date: Username: Badge: Commonly Asked Questions: Why are parts mods not allowed? I don't allow part mods because it makes it harder to track what fits in the rules are not. Why do you not allow HyperEdit? Because it affects your craft and people could cheat with it refueling theri craft. It's basically infinite fuel and it's cheating. Can I do this on older versions? Yes you may. Can I do this on consoles? Yes you may. You may not use any exploit such as the KAL Controller throttle exploit. If you have any other questions please ask through the messaging feature of the Kerbal Space Program forums or post it on my user profile. Thank you and enjoy this challenge. Cool Submissions: @Vanamonde submitted a rocket that only used monopropellant booster that was able to get to Minmus. Congrats and awesome mission. It may have not returned but this is KSP. His submission was submitted on the old thread of this challenge so it abides by the rules. He scored 20 points according the scoreboard on this thread. Notice: This is a revised and enhanced edition of this thread. The challenge had some unclear point sysytem and confusing rules. This is a improved and clarified version of this. Want your submission to be here? Please let me know through the KSP Forums messaging system or send me your request on my user profile. Thank you and have a safe flight! Have a suggestion on the rules? Please let me know through the KSP Forums messaging system or send me your request on my user profile. Thank you and have a safe flight!

I have decide to do a eve circumnavigation . Hopefully all goes well for me! So for I have done minus and kerbin challnges and now im going for eve. I will be doing a polar Circumnavigation. I have made a rover that can go at about 20m/s and can go at 4x warp. It is going to be a challenge to get jeb home though. Once I complete this I would the first person to do both Eve and kerbin and that's cool. I would a map like my kerbin challenge but I cant find a eve map. LEG ONE Today I just launched the rover to Eve. The reentry at eve was bit hairy. I lost about half of my ablator but I landed ok. After a little testing on the surface everything deemed to work good. I plan to put flags every 50KM. Have some pics! LEG TWO Today I have started to real progress. Right now im beside a mountain range. I tried to drive form the IVA view but its really hard to drive. The rover starts to bug out at 4x warp but 3x works fine. According to my research it will take me 88 flags to plant, so about 4400km. Most of these shots are beauty shots but there still good. LEG THREE It seems like I get 4 flags each day and I have to plant 88 flags. If I do 4 flags everyday it will take me 22 days to complete. But ill more time on the weekend. I've been looking at the other side of the planet and found.... a ocean! I didn't see that and now ill have to navigate a bunch little islands but I will be fine. At one point today I was at 35m/s! But besides that once again everything pretty much normal. I heard the sunets on Eve are green so that will look pretty. LEG FOUR I made some real progress this leg. The one bad thing about doing a polar circumnavigation is when you drive around the poles it gets dark. I'm a little surprised I have broke any wheels yet. I found this map I can use for eve so you guys can see my progress. The land on Eve is pretty tame, I thought it would be bumpier but its not. LEG FIVE This was a nightmare. This is why it took so dang long to do. Have you every been to poles? They are absolutely horrible. There are lines of mountains and valleys with like 90 degree angles. My wheels wanted to go backwards without me touching the keyboard.!! Sometimes the rover just fell apart for no reason. NEVER GO TO THE NORTHPOLE, YOU WILL DIE HORRIBLY. I had to reload so many times. I really hope the south pole is better. Now some of you might wonder where the map is. I removed because I cant figure out where I am on the map. Now you guys can get some pictures of my nightmare. Hope you like them. hahahaha LEG SIX I/m still getting those mountains and valleys. Looks likes its about to end now, thank god. But I didn't get much driving done this leg . Im now driving along the ocean coast. LEG SEVEN I'm now in these chain of islands that I have to navigate now. I have left all of those valleys and mountains and that's great. LEG EIGHT I have planted 34 flags now so I am about halfway. I almost went down the wrong path that lead to a dead-end. There are some big mountains up ahead and that cant be good. I have a question for you guys, Do you like lots of pictures or fewer pictures. Please tell me down below! LEG NINE Turns out that climbing mountains is fun! Turns out those mountains where fun. At the tops of the mountains I planted a flag. I even got to 50 M/s going downhill! LEG TEN I am now sadly leavening the mountain range. Remember at poles I had the phantom force? It was back for couple minutes but after that it was fine. I planted a couple new Flags on tops of mountains. I got up to 60 M/S going downhill. I was really surprised it didn't go out of control.
