  1. Not really used to writing these; since for the most part i haven't been outside a few sites in a while. But yeah iv'e been playing KSP for the latter part of 6 months; picked it up after i had gotten curious when i had Scott Manley's "Interstellar" series on while studying for exams as background noise. Been to the Mun, Minmus, and sent probes to Duna and Eve. I have actually landed on Duna; but the little dudes got stranded there and my rescue mission was a spectacular failure after the kracken spun it end over end post-landing straight into the ground. So..i'm waiting for the next Xfer window to try again; and milling contracts to get the required funds in the meantime. Little background on me personally I'm in my early 20's and studying computer science; i'm a novice C++ programmer (Wanting to improve). I'm a gamer; played skyrim, TW3 etc. I love modding; dabbled in it a little myself but mostly use other people's work. That's me for the most part; at least what's relevent for KSP purposes. I apologise if this sounds more like a resume than a proper introduction
  2. Hi it's my second day in the game. I'm trying for a Munar flyby. I'm using a stack 'o' fuel with a Swivel engine and 2 large SRBs. After having no problems for some time, suddenly I can't attach SRBs to the main rocket. They either miss the separating devices and attach themselves permanently, or they attach with one booster much close to the main rocket than the other, or they will attach with both boosters almost completely INSIDE the main rocket body. I just spent an hour trying to do this without success. The frustration is unbelievable, because it's something I have done in about 2 seconds many times before. Am I missing something simple here?
  3. Hi all - I'm just getting back into ksp and have found that, to phrase it like i thought, excrements is wack. So, i decided to take a pretty standard lifter, strap a station on top and try to start out in my sandbox game. (see pic) 1st separation goes smoothly (asparagus design, pair, then pair), but the moment i ditch the last pair of side boosters my spacecraft decides its had enough of breaching the atmosphere and pursues a career in midair gymnastics, much to the dismay of myself and my payload. CONTEXT: Final sep. occurs at about 10k Pic (cause my browser is weird): (diagram of staging, boosters on all, swivel booster on main) PAYLOAD ON TOP 1 2 main 2 1
  4. Greetings Fellow Astronauts, I am new to the forums but not to KSP as I have clocked 600 hours on PC version of the game. I signed onto forums today because I have been patiently waiting for MOARdv on github to release the latest version of Raster Prop Monitor (https://github.com/MOARdV). I am hoping to see all my favorite mods get update soon so I can get back to building rockets and my space station. By the way, KSP is the best space simulator I have ever heard about or played!
