  1. So my KSP save has started doing this, which is very strange. I reinstalled my mods to see if it was something to do with one of the mods, but that wasn't what happened. So I tried deleting the "settings.cfg" and it was a full window again. Has anyone run into this kind of bug before?
  2. So I broke my Settings.cfg file, now, let me explain myself. I needed to change the input button for moving around in the both of the builders as for some reason, KSP has this oddly late response rate when pressing the scroll wheel button, plus, I need to put allot of force onto the button for it to actually work and I don't want to break another mouse, so I went into the Settings.cfg file and changed what I thought was the input for dragging my god forsaken self around the builders to 'MouseButton4', a little button on the side of my mouse that does nothing, and much like its original purpose, it does nothing, and to top it all off, I forgot to copy the Settings.cfg meaning I have no fix. I have actually gotten my desired control input by simply changing the buttons input in my mouse settings window, but i cant zoom anymore despite trying several different button names for said input, i think the original input was "MouseWheelButton" and i have tried putting that in but that didn't work, heres the broken line in the cfg file that I need a functioning copy of, if someone would kindly copy their correct version of this line, that would be lovely. (My broken line) AXIS_MOUSEWHEEL { PRIMARY { name = MouseWheelButton axis = -1 inv = False sensitivity = 1 deadzone = 0 scale = 1 group = 0 modeMask = -1
  3. Hello, I'm trying to use KSP with Nvidia Surround across 3840x1080 resolution. It's working but I'm trying to do what the mod below, does. I can set the resolution to 1920x1080 in game, and it still uses multiple monitors with black areas on the sides, which is what I want. But it centers it between two monitors, I'm wondering if I can adjust the drawing area position to X=0, Y=0, starting from top left, leaving all the second monitor completely blank. So I can move some stat windows there like mechjeb, final frontier etc. Anybody know which line of code to edit or add to the settings.cfg?
  4. Hello, We can edit the navball position within the game but we can't edit the altimeter's nor any other graphical interface element's position in game. When we look at the Settings.cfg we can see the following User Interface settings; UI_SCALE_TIME = 1 UI_SCALE_ALTIMETER = 1.3 UI_SCALE_MAPOPTIONS = 1 UI_SCALE_APPS = 1 UI_SCALE_STAGINGSTACK = 1 UI_SCALE_MODE = 1 UI_SCALE_NAVBALL = 1.34 UI_SCALE_CREW = 1 UI_POS_NAVBALL = -0.52 So I used "UI_POS_ALTIMETER" but it didn't work! I was wondering if there's any way to reposition the altimeter. I am currently experimenting with dual monitor setup (Using Nvidia Surround) and so far this is my only problem. I did a good amount of research on multi-monitor mods and UI mods but couldn't find anything addressing my issue. Any help is greatly appreciated.
  5. Looking at devnotes at @Claw I think for a suggestion, why not implement this as an advanced options menu in the settings menu? The options will be with a checkbox , like ☑ Inflight highlight ☐ other example (I'm not very imaginative today) Or a numerical box if they are numerical. I think this can be doneautomatically by some script so if a mod adds some setting it can be actualized. And if you hover the mouse in the option it can display a description like "this option makes that the selected part is hightlited in green etc", this can be added to other parts of the settings menu. My two cents. Editing setings.cfg is very arcane to new players and to not that new players, we should help them somewhat, and there is also some settings with unintuitive names, description would help a lot.
