Could this PC potentially handle KSP?

Sorry if I posted this in the wrong section.

I'm planning to get a new computer to play, among other things, Kerbal Space Program since it currently lags to the max on my current weakling computer without rbray's performance-enhancing mod that I keep forgetting the name. Someone else recommended a list of parts that I could use to build a new computer, and I'd just like to know if they could potentially run the game smoothly even with multiple mods;

CPU - Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz, Quad-Core Processor

Motherboard - ASRock H97M PRO4 Micro ATX LGA1150

Memory - G.Skill Sniper Series 8GB( 1x8GB ) DDR3-1600

Video Card - MSI Radeon R9 270X 2GB TWIN FROZR

Operating System - Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (64bits of course)

Once again, apologies if I posted this in the wrong section.

Without a doubt!

I built an i3 system for my father-in-law last year and a GT210, the first thing I tried out to test its powers was KSP.

It ran just fine.

Actually, only slightly better than my 2007 C2D e8500 @ 3.17 GHZ, 8GB DDR2800 & 1GB GTX650, which by the way, runs very well in the winter (can overclock then) and reasonably well in the summer.

Funny enough, Brenden asked me a similar question not to long ago. Except he wasn't building...

Short answer: Yes. But be wary of having tons upon tons of mods, or building spaceships the size of the grand canyon.

I didn't part count on the i3, but I can get around 600 parts and its only in the red until orbit.

Typically 300 is max, mostly due to my imagination/patience.

Buy 2*4Gb instead of 1*8Gb. Two ram thingies (i cant remember the english bame for a ram unit, was it stick or bar?) can make use of dual channel which will improve the bandwith.

They work in pairs anyways...

This computer could handle KSP, sure. Now the question is, can it play it? ;)

Remember - KSP doesn't use your GPU very heavily at all, and it can only properly use a single core of your CPU. Also, it can only use 4 gb of ram before it crashes, so you should be fine there.

As someone who's tried KSP with a 4690k OC'd at 4.2 GHz, but only HD 4600, I can confirm. However, any "graphics mods" that use EVE will bash up against GPU limitations quickly, in my experience.
