Unknown key - if it egzists

Is there a key that disables radial attachement. My problem is that while in the VAB/SPH if I want to put something in the cargo bay that has the option of radial attachement like a FL-T100 it sticks to the walls of the cargo bay, but i want it to connect to a connection node.

If there is no such thing SQUAD, please take note.

Yep, hold down the modifier key (alt or rightshift) while attaching the part

And holding Shift (or Control? I don't remember) allows for precision placement. (The snap grid gets smaller).

It also works for the gizmos.

never till this game has the named keys alt or shift been called modifier keys , 1st time for everything but in future programmer need to refer to its key board designation not a what it does please

"The" mod(ifier) key is used in relation to KSP because the exact key used is different on different operating systems. On Windows it's Alt. On Linux Alt-clicking would drag the whole game window, so it's Right Shift instead. On OSX it's Option, because Macs don't have a key labelled Alt.
