I want to show you Russian Engines Pack! The are 4 Russian liquid fuel engines - RD-170, RD-180, NK-33 and RD-0120.

RD-170

Most powerful engine in the real world. It used on the first stage of 'Energia'. It has gimbaling around the 2 axes - pitch and yaw.

RD-180

Cutted version of RD-170. Less power, and in 11% less efficiency. It has 2 nozzles instead 4 on RD-170. RD-180 is one of the most safe engines in the world.

RD-0120

Safe, powerful and efficient. RD-0120 used on the second stage of 'Energia'.

NK-33

This engine used in Sovet lunar program. 30(!) NK-33 used on the first stage on N1F. N1 project were closed, but this engine received a second birth, when americans bought it for using on Antares-2. It has not gimbaling, N1 controlled by dismatching thrust on opposite engines.

If that is not enough you can have a screenshot with red markings to see it (don\'t think that you want to)

I know what you\'re talking about, yea, it\'s lot of ad\'s, but there\'s no pron or flashing banners for all screen, or any stuff like that.

Just some adblocks around images, not very bright actually. Maybe i\'m doing something wrong.

Really go(o)d job on the models, they are realistic how can be in ksp, but... Are the textures finished?

I think the greatest is a RD-170, I think it\'s Glushko\'s greatest rocket engine, and that\'s thrust ???. For 1,2 MN stronger then one F1 rocketdyne engine...

I started with it 3 days ago. :)

Skif is quit good idea (with Tosh\'s plugin laser?), it\'s one thinks it is one of the things that contributed to the fall of the Soviet Union. :D

And RS- 25: I don\'t like that good looking engine, it\'s (really) hard to model, and you can\'t ignite it more then one...= I look forward.

And one think to the RS- 25: How do you want to create the top side? The top side isn\'t visible on the Orbiter.

EDIT: Small OT question: How did you decrease the poly count? I watched few tutorials, but I never did it right (probably)... With the decimate?

Speaking about the engine plugin I\'m working on: it\'ll have ability to set custom throttle profile (including CECO ability) and have limited number of ignitions and g-force requirements for ignition 8) Yes, you won\'t be able to reignite most ascent engines again for orbital insertion or TLI.

Don\'t worry, there will also be support for built-in ullage motors and auxiliary propulsion systems for some top stages (you\'ll get fully functional Blok D or S-IVB).

It\'ll even be possible to make something like 7K-OK or 7K-LOK engine section: 2 engines (main + reserve on 7K-OK; correction + TEI on LOK) + engine-dependent steering nozzles (similar to RCS, but powered by gases from the engine) + rear set of RCS. (In fact, N1-L3 is the the craft that inspired the plugin, but there are almost all features found in rocket engines to be supported by the module. Maybe I\'ll even add a hardcore version with failure simulation later)

Yeah you don\'t need to model the high detail parts if its meant to be built inside of some sort of housing; even re-used elsewhere the SSMEs would be partially inserted inside of a tank.

This is the approach I took for my new SSME-type engines; the upper part is a base for the gimballing/vectoring.

tadeass, I\'m working in 3d\'s max, and there are 3 modificators for reducing count of poly\'s - Optimize, ProOptimizer and MultiRes. All of them has different advantages and disadvantages.

Tiberion, I used your TiberDyne mod, and I want to tell you amendment.

Side boosters of Energia uses liquid fuel, and they have RD-170 engine. Please, separate these blocks to fuel tank and engine.

I made adapters for RD-180, RD-170 and NK-33. I\'ll upload them tomorrow.

Vlad. Try not to use Russian image hosts. I assume they are your countrymen and this isn\'t the place to list my misgivings, but as others noted.. Change your image host. If for no other reason than this is a child-oriented forum, but mostly because .ru is a security risk and that page spamming browser objects everywhere doesn\'t endear me.

Upload your images as attachments to the forum post. That why the feature exists.

Just recommend me good image hoster which will suit all.

Just use the attachment option at the bottom of the post editor.. Upload them as attachments.

I appreciate you taking action. :)

Vlad, I had to remove the links to your image host as the site contains pornographic advertising and images. I also set your images to full size and wrapped them in spoiler tags so people could still see the images but not need to visit the unsafe site.

In the future, please use an image host that doesn\'t have pornography ads plastered all over the site. We have kids here and their parents can get pretty upset if their child clicks on one of your links.

Uploading as attachments isn\'t a good idea either, since a server move or crash could cause them to be lost. There are dozens of free image hosts that don\'t have porn ads. Try imgur.com, I use them and they are quite good.

FYI Smite, while many .ru sites are troubling, most of them aren\'t. It\'s not very nice to make blanket statements like that.

1. Almost a half of 170.DAE and 180.DAE files are the descriptions of \'duffuse\' material which may be safely removed \'cause KSP just discards all the stuff like that.

2. A top plate of RD-0120 would look better with its mesh detached from the rest of obj_anchor:

3. There are several triangles in RD-180 model that just hang in the air (orange dots on the left):

4. The textures could use a bit more details :)

And apart of glitches listed above -- excellent job with modelling these monsters :thumbup:
