[0.14+] Elderberry Ni V2 Telemetry System version 0.2.1 [bugfix update!]

With the latest versin of the Corax Telemetry Antenna, Whistler Services has decided that it is time to forget the old Telemetry System and build a new one.

So we did did just that, threw out the old one to make space for the new one! It is much more steamlined, and I do not only mean the antenna, but also the software on the receiving end.

(Reasons are that the software grew a tad to complex and complicated, so I decided to start again and make it more modular, scalable and so on.)

Well, you have to change the IP adress in the part to get it to work on a different PC... MAybe I should put that to the README...

Edit: I\'m not having any luck getting it to pick up data over my LAN. I\'ve tried every IP combination I can think of in the settings and config with no luck.

Try both. Of course you need to point the Elderberry Ni V2 to the computer running KSP, but I have no idea if you need to point the Antenna at the computer running the Elderberry Ni V2.

I got the ol\' U53R error. Adding the telemetry plugin made a difference. I was derpin\' out for a bit there.

This is SO awesome watching the flight on one screen and the data on another!

But only when you point the KSP part at the PC running the Elderberry Ni and the Elderberry Ni at the PC running KSP.

Downside at the moment is the lack of any indication that a part has stopped transmitting, so you have to restart the Ni when you start a new rocket.

Will add a reset button in the next version.

Just reporting this works fine on v0.15.2.

If this ever gets updated, it would be great to be able to resize the window and on my machine, the \'units\' in the left y axis are in an odd format. Not sure if that is intended.

Would be great to have toggles to turn on/off data. Acceleration doesn\'t interest me often but not a biggy.

I just used this telemetry to squeeze some extra delta out of my failing design.

Oh my gosh! since this is fully operational and fuctional, it move the game to a multiplayer, one player for the control center (e.g. Kerbal Space Agency) and one for the 'pilot\'s seat' !!!

Yes, they can run on the same computer, just use 127.0.0.1 as the IP address.

The telemetry plugin's IP address should be set to 'localhost' out of the box (which is the same as 127.0.0.1 for all practical concerns).

One minor bug to report.

Been using the ground path function of this in conjunction with the muon (monolith) detector mod to find all the hidden monoliths. So far have found and reached 2 of them on Kerbin (besides the ones at KSC1 and 2). Anyways started my mapping of the Mun, and I really like how it swaps out the map, but when you use the Save Image button it saves the ground plot over kerbins map. Been taking screenshots of the display in lieu of this, but would be convenient if it made the maps right.

sorry which is the newer version 0.2.1 or 0.5.1 ??? 0.5.1 gives me telemetry in the cmd window but nothing in the java app and 0.2.1 throws an exception when the part starts transmitting... any help on this?? the error 0.2.1 throws is

There is only one downloadable version on the original post of this thread, and its for 0.2.1. I have no idea where you got 0.5.1 from. Don\'t know about the java error, I\'m running 64-bit Java 7 and haven\'t ran into any issues.
