Salyut and Mir

Ok, I though that I might combine the idea of following the entirety of the Russian space station program from the early Salyut missions through the building of Mir (I am excluding the ISS as that was an international project). I was wondering what everyone thought about the idea? Any thoughts?

Sure. Salyut was very interesting and Mir is something I watched glide across the sky.

Definitely. I feel like Salyut doesn't get enough love when it comes to the history of space stations. And Mir was an amazing feat of engineering (first modular space station) and politics (Shuttle-Mir).

Well if you are doing a series for these things you might as well launch from the right place. This mod adds the kosmodrome launch site. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/95198-0-24-2-Kosmodrome-Space-Centre-V0-9-%281-10-2014%29 Its really well done and adds a cool level of realism. Its actually really easy to use. Just drag and drop like all other mods..

Ok, hit a snag, game keeps crashing whenever I launch from Kosmodrome. I have an idea on how to fix it, but it's a longshot

nevermind, hit another snag...My computer is gonna have to be wiped due to a constancy of being unresponsive every 3-4 minutes
